Enlarging the maps = less Creed lore. At least that's how you've done it in recent games. We don't want this.

Playing as a Templar AND an Assassin

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 07:17 AM PDT

Imagine a game similar to Assassin's Creed: Syndicate where you play as two different characters, switching between the two. One would be a Templar and the other an Assassin. Imagine if your quests as one character would always combat the others. You would be torn between both characters and with good writing, this could turn out very well. Then, imagine the Assassin is killed by the Templar, and you have to play as only the Templar for the rest of the game. You would hate them so much but you'd have no choice. If the writing, acting, story and characters are good, I think this could turn out really well.

Orlog: Ubisoft is throwing away cash

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 04:35 PM PDT

So a few months ago, I made a post talking about how I enjoy Orlog and was really excited for the physical version that was coming out. I truly hope I'm missing something but this website appears to say that Orlog is a limited run (500 sets) and is sold out. Why would they only make 500. I mean, I know a ton of people wouldn't be willing to pay $200 but considering it's sold out and I didn't secure a copy, there's definitely at least 501 people who would buy it. Guess I'll just have to settle for one of the nice Etsy Orlog sets. It's funny, Etsy is charging basically the same amount. Ubisoft probably could've made a lot of money on this but I guess we'll never no.

People seem to be purposefully misinterpreting the announcement on new games being “bigger”

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 03:27 PM PDT

The devs specifically did not say "a bigger map", simply "bigger". That can include larger, denser cities (something people have wanted more of). It's not an either/or situation. A game with more complicated cities would need to be bigger.

At this point, it seems like people just want to make themselves miserable, and complain about Ubi, and are just making up reasons to do so.

Ubisoft don't bite off more than you can chew when it comes to map size

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 03:29 PM PDT

please for the love of all that was created by God, don't increase the map size of your games unless you're able to properly fill it with meaningful content, there a reason why Rockstar didn't make the map of rdr2 the size of texas, and it because they were wise enough to know they couldn't fill that large of an area with stuff that the player wanted to do, and thus it would have ultimately harmed the overall quality of there games.

the point is Ubisoft has shown that they cannot make these country-sized maps without sacrificing the overall quality of their games, and so they should either

    a. take the time to fill these worlds with interesting activities or

    b. reduce the map size to where they can fill it with more meaningful content

could you imagine with the amount of passion, and resources the devs put into these games if they created a map that half the size of Valhalla but twice as dense, and also a story which instead of it being 50 hours + that feels stretched out to so many people, it around 25 to 30 hours with high amounts of replayability, they could have a masterpiece on there hands.

    Assassin's Creed 3 with Valhalla/Odyssey's game mechanics

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 11:24 AM PDT

Imagine if colonial America could be fleshed out as medieval England was in Valhalla or ancient Greece/Egypt in Odyssey and Origins.

Similar to how a large portion of Valhalla took place in Scandinavia at the beginning of Valhalla, a bit of London could be built to flesh out Haytham's mission and objective.

The vastly larger colonial America could even incorporate Philadelphia, and the seafaring that you do in AC 3 could have been done more fluidly like it was done in Odyssey.

How historically accurate are the Valhalla armor sets?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 03:41 PM PDT

Pretty straightforward question. I'm excluding the hidden ones set (and all of the absurd helix store sets), since the hidden ones are fictional. I'm just wondering if what you wear in the game is something a viking or british individual may actually have worn.

Can I do the Wrath of the Druids DLC during the campaign?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 07:14 AM PDT

About 40 hours in, taking my time a bit, power level 150 and just got to Lunden. Curious about the Wrath of the Druids DLC.

Would it be ok to jump into it during the campaign? Nothing against the campaign, but it would be nice to have a change of scenery and explore something unique. Perhaps also do some leveling up?

I have heard "wait until after the campaign" but that could be a long, long time at the rate I am going. Any downsides to taking a turn to the DLC for a while? Thanks!

Why does the Thames river seem so small in Valhalla?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 03:54 PM PDT

I finally reached Lunden after months of not playing the game. I noticed that compared to Syndicate the river seems incredibly small almost like you could swim across is multiple times with little to no effort. Is there a reason for this besides the obvious being that they shrunk down the size to fit the map better? Could the river have possibly gotten bigger over time? I tried looking for an answer and didn't find any so I figured I'd ask myself.

Which is your favourite Assassin's Creed theme?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 07:41 AM PDT

Personally, I like the AC1 soundtrack a lot. Songs like "Meditation of the Assassin", "Masyaf in Danger", "Acre Underworld", and "Access the Animus" are in my favourites list.

Even AC2 and Brotherhood have great themes like "Night Mission in Venice", "Leonardo's Inventions Part 2", "Dreams of Venice", "Countdown", and "Cesare Borgia".

I think every AC pause menu music is great except for Odyssey. But in particular, my favourites were Syndicate's, Black Flag's, Brotherhood's, and AC2's pause menu music.

Feel free to share your favourites!

    Significantly underleveled in AC Valhalla

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 05:27 PM PDT

Hi, I have played AC Valhalla for almost 140 hours. I have one last alliance missing that is level 380. I am level 275 after all these hours in that game. I have been grinding for almost 30 hours. I have been doing a lot of side quests and mysteries too. Anyone has an idea why is that? I need your help.

Also, the interchangeable combat combo options are AWESOME.

    Posted: 10 Jun 2021 12:08 PM PDT

I'm currently playing Odyssey for the first time and I have to say, I really like the no fall damage addition. Every time I jump from a cliff, and Alexios tucks and rolls and hits the ground, I feel like a member of a Seal Team doing a HALO jump into enemy territory.

Soo... There have been a few more leaks about what Ubisoft could show at their event including a new AC game and DLC. So I made a video about it :)
