| The reveal of valhalla Ubisoft could get the best of both worlds with character sequels. Posted: 10 Jun 2021 05:34 PM PDT I know reincarnation has been present for years with AITA but valhalla showed that Isu can reincarnate as humans, which is really close to humans reincarnation into humans. Ever since odyssey was announced people have been asking for character sequels, ubisoft hadn't done so so they can make drastically new games and market the games for their era instead of their characters. But if a single character reincarnated across multiple eras, we could have proper character sequels while ubisoft gets to create new eras. I know current reincarnations don't really have their previous memories but a simple scifi explanation could explain how humans using the ISU tech get to keep their memories because they're easier to transfer over or whatever. Or the protagonist doesn't keep their memories which would be fine but could take away from the actual purpose of having character sequels. Maybe you think the solution would be weird but honestly I think it's kinda cool, it's very different from what we got with ezio but the idea of having more detailed character development still sticks and letting a protagonist see multiple different timeliness throughout history could make for some great storyline.
