(Spoilers for Assassin's Creed Odyssey) I wish that you could tell Markos about a certain event

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 09:12 AM PST

I was wondering if there is even any conversation with Markos you can have to tell him about Phoebe's fate. I wonder how he'd react and if he'd be serious for once. What are your thoughts?

What is the general consensus of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey? Looking to have a discussion on how this game fits into the Assassin’s Creed formula and your likes/dislikes!

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 08:00 PM PST

Let me preface this by saying that I really love Odyssey. I find the world beautiful, and enjoy that I can take my time exploring such a huge space.

However, I don't really feel like this game should be titled Assassin's Creed. I almost feel as if it should have just been named Odyssey and been marketed as a new IP in the RPG genre.

It doesn't really feel like an Assassin's Creed game to me. In my mind, pure Assassin's Creed was the Ezio trilogy. That being said, I truly adore this game. I'm losing countless hours exploring, sailing, and just taking in this beautiful world.

I find the combat refreshing. Since the enemies are such damage sponges, I knocked the difficulty down to easy and while combat isn't that difficult anymore, enemies having so much health still keeps it fun.

What do you all think about Odyssey? Love it? Hate it? Or how about the Modern Day story? I miss the days of Desmond and Lucy and thinking about where the MD story could have gone. It seems like it has gotten very convoluted now, and with different development teams handling different games, it seems like there is no unified vision or plan for Modern Day, which is a shame.

So, after putting it off for so long, I finally got Assassin's Creed Odyssey

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:28 PM PST

So I've been putting off getting Assassin's Creed Odyssey because I kept hearing that it has nothing to do with, well, Assassin's Creed. But I finally decided to actually give it a go since it was on sale for the PS4. I got the Gold Edition which was originally $130 and I got it on sale for $32. So if I liked it, I'd have all the DLC, if not, then it was only 30 dollars.

I really love this game. Yes, Alexios' voice acting is kinda silly now and then, and some of the game isn't as polished as Origins (which I absolutely love) but it's fun! I can kinda see how it's the very baseline for Assassin's and Templars, but why put it before Origins??? The world is fun and gorgeous, and theres a lot of quests. Yes, it's mostly kill and fetch, but eh. I'm glad I got this game. I'm level 51, but I'm only on Sequence 7. I like to level up early in RPGs. Can't wait to play the DLCs

So now I've played every Assassin's Creed game. I know Ubisoft has teased in various things that the next Assassin's Creed will be with Vikings. How do you guys feel about that?

What do you guys like/dislike about Odyssey?

What do you guys wish they changed or kept from Origins?

Do you enjoy the RPG style they went with? (I do, I love RPGs)

(Sorry for all the questions, I like hearing other players thoughts and feelings on games, and I like discussions)

Are AC: Odyssey's Greek name pronunciations accurate?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 06:02 PM PST

Just a quick question hopefully someone experienced with the Greek language can answer. It surprised me at first when I heard the way people in the game spoke the names of various famous figures. Pythagoras and Socrates, to name a couple. I'd always heard them pronounced as Pith-AH-gor-as and SOC-rat-eez, but in the game it's Pith-uh-GOR-as and So-CRAHT-eez. I can't find anything online about this so I'm asking here.

Does AC Offer the kind of openness I'm looking for?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 09:01 AM PST

I'm looking to dig into a new game and AC is on my radar. I recall playing the first one when it initially came out and not really feeling like I had a lot of control/choice over what I was doing.

I'm wondering if more modern titles allow for some of that, and if so which ones?

Exploration, character building, and creative combat are all things I would rank as a high priority.

Did the original AC2 make you collect all codex pages before accessing the final sequence?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 11:52 PM PST

Because I sure DON'T remember that at all. I hate tedious collecting in games and can't believe this cock block they've thrown up in my face as I went to access this final memory against Borgia. Funny thing is, when I beat the game years and years ago I don't seem to remember that being a requirement. I sure don't see my younger self doing it.

Hi everyone, what the fuck is it with Syndicate and hoods.

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:16 PM PST

I've had the game for a few months and I mostly like it, one thing that really bugs me is there insistance on not wearing a hood. I like the idea of selecting whether or not you can wear a hood but lord. Almost every cutscene at all you take your hood down and put on your stupid fucking hat. Really ruins the whole assassin vibe for me. Is there anyway at all to change it to always wearing a hood? At all?

In AC Odyssey, am I only able to go passed lvl 50 after I beat the main story?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 06:56 PM PST

I'm already at level 50, but it's not going any higher now. I thought the cap was raised.

Whats so good with Assassins creed II?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 12:01 PM PST

I have been hearing/seeing people for years that Assassins creed II is the best game in the whole series but what makes it so good all i know is about the assassin Ezio a little and nothing else. Btw i only have played Unity, Syndicate, Black flag and still playing Odyssey.

My idea for black glag remaster

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:33 PM PST

Ubisoft should add all the other ULC things to the game for you to get. Like the figurine code outfits and ship design stuff and all the other stuff. It really bums me out that ac iniatites had some stuff which awarded you with certain customisation options in game like hornigolds sails if i'm not mistaken. Now that i think about it black flag might be the only game in the franchise with so much content that is limited to merchandise and such. Apologies for my grammar(the typo in the title is a mistake honestly😅)

And they should remove the multiplayer trophies.. Since its kinda dead from what i've seen

Screw Layla, give me more Kassandra games!

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 07:32 AM PST

    SPOILERS

Is it just me or is this Kassandra being an immortal and having been apparently alive this whole damn time narrative GOLD! Everyone seems to love the voice actress for Kass soooo how bout some games heavily featuring Kass? She's apparently been up to all kinds of interesting stuff over the past millennium! UBI has really struggled with creating an interesting modern story with a likeable main character, then they finally accidentally do it with Kass being alive this whole time, then they KILL her !? She shoulda walked in with the staff and been like yo what's up Layla you have proven yourself worthy to work with I'll take it from here and you can be my basic birch researcher person while I go be a real badass.

    Amiright?

Lack of weapon variety in later games bother you?

For example, Assassin's Creed 3 and 4. Idk about Syndicate but i heard there arent many weapons to choose from.

Brainstorming ideas for AC game settings

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 08:10 PM PST

I was just thinking about some cool potential settings for a hypothetical AC game.

-Mongolia during the reign of Genghis Khan

-An actual full-fledged 3D game in Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution

-Post-Siege of Alamut: Persia and Mesopotamia

-Germany during WWII: The protagonist could assassinate Hitler at the end? Likely would not work due to setting and content. And guns.

-The Holy Land during the time of Jesus: According to in-game lore, Jesus did possess a Shroud of Eden, which the Order of the Ancients crucified him for. Sounds really interesting, the protagonist could be a member of the Egyptian branch of the Hidden Ones sent to Judea

    -Britain during the Viking invasion

-Feudal/Warring States Japan: come on. this one is obvious.

    -Napoleonic Wars:

-Opium Wars: Somewhat overlooked, has a decent bit of possibility.

-The Wars of Independence (South America)

-Jazz Age America: we already have a confirmed Assassin operating during that time, but this likely would not work.

Feel free to comment some setting ideas of your own!

    No spoilers// Origins to Odyssey

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 06:36 PM PST

So, I've just about finished Origins after buying it at release but never playing it because I was just tired of the franchise after Unity (I bought syndicate and played it for an hour at most after I got origins because I didn't want to miss out).

So far I've thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm considering getting odyssey once I finish tomorrow. But I'm confused as to how the story will fit since Origins is the beginning of the assassins brotherhood and odyssey is set 400 years prior?

Without spoilers, is odyssey worth playing and does it fit in with the existing story?

    Assassins Creed Odyssey Hunter Build?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 08:29 AM PST

Any good reference to what I should be doing to create a Hunter Build? Level 8 and just landed on the second location.

I understand the game changed a bit after a patch came out, to make the hunter build less OP.

What abilities should I be going for? What items should I be keeping?

As a completionist, is there an actual point to Nation power/wars?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:57 PM PST

I'm playing on Nightmare right now, and the eventual "final battle" thing that happens is hard as fuck given my build and the difficulty..

But I've heard they just kinda bounce back and forth. Like I can't 100% the map for Sparta? What's the gain in it all?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:38 PM PST

So lets say a person had a child at 55 years They died at 75 year But how will their child have their fathers entire life memory from 0 to 75 if they were given birth when their father was 55 i thought about this when i watch ac Embers cuz like how can we see embers if ezio gave birth to his chield before he died so the child should only have the genetic memory of their parents upto the age their parents gave them birth
