Assassins Creed 4 AC4: Black Screen |
| Posted: 17 Feb 2020 09:25 PM PST I'm sure this post has already been done. I scrolled for a while and didn't see it, so here it is again. Problem: Boot game, start new game, see loading screen, then screen goes black and there's guys shouting like in a battle. Screen stays black forever, have to stop game from task manager. Seems to be hanging on attempt to render cinematic or on attempt to render normal visuals. Sometimes it renders Edward walking around in the loading screen before it hangs, sometimes it doesn't. System: Intel Core i7-6700K 4GHz, 32GB ram, Radeon Fury R9, Windows 10, no fancy tweaks or other programs that should interfere in any way Solutions Tried So Far: 1. Delete savefiles and AC4BF_PC and so forth, disable cloud saves, verify file integrity. 2. Unlink Steam from Uplay. 3. Run executable as administrator. 4. Update GPU drivers. 5.
