[Spoiler] I wish I could build a certain someone a house in AC Valhalla

    Posted: 08 May 2021 03:34 PM PDT

Intentionally left NPC name out of title in case it's still a spoiler for someone, but I'm referencing Reda. Poor guy sitting in his tent since the early portions of the game.

Admittedly, I haven't beaten the game yet (getting quite close though) and am almost to rank 6 village. But it doesn't seem likely that Eivor does him that favor.

[Valhalla] Any way to unlock all fast travel points (for convenience)?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 10:46 PM PDT

I'm on my second play through, this time on PS5. As an aside, the game looks beautiful even in performance mode, which prioritizes frame rate over visual fidelity. I'm quite happy with that.

Anyway, I'd like to unlock all the games fast travel points somehow, other than manually visiting each one. I looked on the store and I don't see anything that says it does this. There are various map packs that tell you where otherwise hidden stuff is, but as far as I can tell there's nothing to buy that unlocks all the FT points for you.

Did I miss something, or is there really no way - even paid - to do this?

    Thanks for your help.

Are all of the massive dudes in the games realistic?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 02:51 PM PDT

Happens with many bosses and the brute enemies (or allies depends) in the games.

My question is: Is it realistic for let's say armies to deploy those units or for them to be big and strong or is it just for gameplay purposes?

What if Ubisoft wanted to take ideas from fans for a future game?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 01:11 PM PDT

Let's say that Ubisoft made an announcement declaring that the next assassins creed game will have mechanics chosen by the fans, what would YOUR idea be?

This is just for fun and I genuinely think that if ubisoft did this, they would get pretty good ideas and possibly either return the series back to its mean purpose, or make it even better. I know this is unrealistic and Ubisoft would be shamed if they did this, but is it bad that a fan wants the game to go back to its mean purpose?

[SPOILER] An idea I had for the mordern day.

    Posted: 08 May 2021 11:50 PM PDT

I kinda would like to see Loki succeed in his plan. This is just an idea I had. Imagine in the next game, Loki actually wins, and being the isu that he is, enslaves all of humanity using the pieces of Eden. The mentally strong can resist, but they are only few. Shaun, Rebecca and William Miles are among the few who 'see through the illusion' and are in a desperate attempt to find something in the past that will help them defeat Loki.

Playing AC3 for the first time and I'm confused as hell.

    Posted: 08 May 2021 11:47 PM PDT

Sorry, pretty casual gamer here. I'm on sequence 9 and I feel like I have unlocked almost no weapons at the store. What do I need to do to unlock more? Do I need to collect chests in each city/location? It seems like an absolute chore if that's the case.

How to get more supplies for Ravensthorpe?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 09:37 AM PDT

I'm in the final stages of upgrading Ravensthorpe to level 6, but have found myself a few thousand supplies short. I believe I've completed all the raids, so is there another way to get them that I've forgotten about or missed?

Is it possible that the Hunter ships in AC4 are Templars?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 09:34 AM PDT

Think about it. You never hear about any of the other captains having trouble with pirate hunters. Only the assassin affiliated one does. That, and all of the ships have red sails and a red + black body. This is exactly how the Morrigan looks like in AC Rogue.

Do you think that the next assassins creed game(s) will be on old gen?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 01:46 PM PDT

If they eventually release a new game in 2022 or 2023, do you think that they will also allow for it to be played on the ps4 and xbox 1? It doesn't have to be the same resolution or anything, just something playable.

Revisiting a location from one of the previous AC titles

    Posted: 08 May 2021 08:10 AM PDT

If in the next AC main series game Ubi decides to revisit a location as the main setting from either the main games, spin offs or the movie, which would you want it to be? The era can be different or similar to what was originally used but the cast would be completely new meaning a new protagonist and not continuation of an old protagonist's story. The old cast may or may not appear as supporting cast in the new game (Ubi's choice if they want to do so)

P.S. By location I mean country, not city

Are the PS4 trophies still not syncing to PS5 version for Valhalla?

    Posted: 08 May 2021 03:25 PM PDT

I've been reading issues on this, most posts are months old and it seems it works now for some people. Are there any people that have recently gotten their ps5 and got theirs to sync like it should? Miles Morales, NMS, a couple others have properly synced. But I don't know what I'm doing differently/wrong with Valhalla.

Finally Started AC Valhalla and Shocked at how Unpolished it is...

    Posted: 08 May 2021 12:01 AM PDT

I mean wow, invisible walls everywhere, no obvious handholds when climbing, still getting stuck in ledges and little crevices, terrible facial animations, character has way too much momentum when stopping feels like im sliding around, raid combat is a clusterfuck. It feels like Odyssey with 50% more concepts but also 50% less polish/execution. Everything is just 1 button interact theres no attention to detail but i guess this is the norm for the newer AC.

I do like the storytelling and everything (the beginning cinematic was badass). I sort of expected this but was still shocked when i experienced just how clunky it was. Definitely not 2020 calibre when Horizon Zero Dawn had like twice as much polish as this.

Hope for the next AC Ubisoft can wake up and put extra time and resources to making a real passion project like RDR2.

    [SPOILERS] Finished AC Valhalla recently

    Posted: 08 May 2021 04:03 PM PDT

And I have to say, it felt pretty underwhelming in the end. We worked pretty hard towards building alliances throughout England, but in the end it kinda goes nowhere? Most of the story is focused on Eivor's chronicles as a Viking and what he did to become a Jarl, but in the end it was topped off with some Isu fluff. The whole Isu/Assassins/Templar stories throughout the game felt more like a side-quest and really wasn't focused much on.

Before Sigurd asked us to visit Norway with him, I wanted to finish the Asgard story-line, but it said "Return to Asgard - Suggested Power: 350", whereas Sigurd's Norway quest required a level of 280. I was about level 250 at that point, so I never would have imagined that the Norway quest is the final quest of the main storyline. After doing that quest, I was a bit confused as to what was going on; so naturally I read about it online and apparently it had something to do with Loki's re-incarnation and what Havi did in the Asgard saga. That brings me to my next point: why is the Asgard saga even a side/optional story? And why does it have a higher level requirement than the final quest?

I feel like this game tried to be two things at once: A Viking RPG and an Assassins' Creed game. There was great potential for either one, but I feel like it combined the two in an underwhelming way. This is in contrast to Black Flag which truly felt like an AC game and at the same time played like you were an actual pirate captain. I miss the style of AC Unity/Syndicate/Black Flag where you were an Assassin having interactions with the Assassin's world, while trying to achieve a goal in the region you were based in.

Overall, AC Valhalla played like a Viking game, and as a Viking RPG game it does a good job. The Assassins' fluff and title just distracted the game from what it should have been.
