How the names of the last three games highlight they're a trilogy

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 12:14 PM PDT

So the names of the last three games seem to nicely highlight the fact that they're a trilogy of sorts:

Origins - a beginning, a starting point of a journey

Odyssey - the middle, a long voyage and wandering, full of adventures and dangers

Valhalla - the final resting place of warriors, the end of the journey

They all have ties to mythology as well (odyssey and valhalla are obvious, origins less so, but myths and mythology were used to explain the origins of the world and various phenomena)

I believe this also proves that the next game will start a new era with a new leading motif, since the mythological journey seems to end here with Valhalla. Might also mean we change the modern day protagonist?

Soooo I just got origins and I love it

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 08:50 PM PDT

As the title says I recently got origins finally and it's really fun it's my second favorite to odyssey. Still wish odyssey had the hidden blade like origins. But one thing I noticed is that every time you upgrade the hidden blade...it changes appearance does anyone else love that

"Journey Into Valhalla": an introduction to the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla!

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 07:19 AM PDT

With the current style of ac games I’d really love to see a game set in Scotland

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 10:41 AM PDT

Just think about it, roaming the Scottish highlands, pillaging rival clans castles, maybe even doing something like oddesy where you can decide which clans to fight for? Just a thought, I'd love to hear other peoples opinions,

The old combat system was bad

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 05:30 PM PDT

In my opinion the old combat system apart from unity and 1 was to easy and lacking any challenge, in brotherhood if you get the time right you could wipe a platoon of soldiers with just the hidden blade, not that the new combat system is the best but at least it offers some challenge. What do you all think about this.

How to play the Kenway Saga in chronological order.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:25 PM PDT

I made myself a guide for how to play all missions of the games set in America in chronological order.

Only recommended after you played them all before, spoilers ahead.

Decluttered Version: (This way some events are not in order, but you change games less frequently, which benefits the narrative)

First you play all of Black Flag, then all of Freedom Cry.

Then you start with Assassin's Creed Rogue and play until Shay falls into a coma.

Then you start Assassin's Creed 3 and play every mission with Haytham.

Play the rest of Assassins Creed Rogue.

Start Liberation and play until Aveline kills De Ferrer.

Play AC3 until the Declaration of Independence.

    Finish Liberation.

    Finish Assassin's Creed 3.

Play the Aveline DLC for Black Flag.

Play the Tyranny of King George Washington.

Full version: (Detailed, all events in order.)

First you play all of Black Flag, then all of Freedom Cry.

Then you start with Assassin's Creed Rogue and play until you kill Lawrence Washington.

Then you start Assassin's Creed 3 and play the mission with Haytham in the theater.

Change back to Rogue and play until Shay and Hope discover the world map.

Play the rest of the Haytham Missions.

Play the rest of Assassins Creed Rogue.

Change to AC3 and play the mission where Connor is a child.

Start Liberation and play until Aveline kills De Ferrer.

Play AC3 until the Declaration of Independence.

Play Liberation until the Mission where you meet Connor.

Play the last mission of Rogue and kill Arno's father in Versailles. (Optionally play the first mission of Unity)

    Finish Liberation.

    Finish Assassin's Creed 3.

Play the Aveline DLC for Black Flag.

Play the Tyranny of King George Washington.

[Spoiler of AC Valhalla: Song of Glory, issue #1] "The big boom" in Valhalla comic book: I think not enough people are talking about it

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 07:17 PM PDT

What do you guys think about Gull, the mysterious woman that Eivor knows in Norway? I mean, what's the thing with her?

    https://preview.redd.it/rl92br4qbyu51.png?width=1374&format=png&auto=webp&s=3679551db57287c4d3e83092a04b67e8b0395ca7

For those who haven't read the newest Song of Glory comic book (prequel of the game): after an invasion of a village in Norway, the female Eivor encounters a pale and tattooed woman, who somehow "sees" Eivor's two genders. The reason is a big mystery, and it puzzled the fanbase this week. Simply because, at this point, it SEEMS that two Eivor genders no longer have to do with Animus, but something more deep and complex.

    https://preview.redd.it/pig99pd2cyu51.jpg?width=2335&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=400ba01e0c98366806a7881db56a62ee5b1d0bdb

The question is: what's the essence of Gull? A Piece of Eden? A temporal channel? An Isu? I really don't know, and I want to understand your opinion/speculation on this topic.

AC Unity | Simplifying Stun Bombs [Guide/Tutorial] [3 minutes]

What do you guys think about AC remasters for the next-gen?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2020 12:37 AM PDT

I've been really wanting ubi to make an AC4 remaster for a while (best game in the series imo don't @ me) but they really haven't had much incentive until now when the PS5 and Xbox Series are coming out in a couple weeks. Based on the latest remasters (AC3 & Rogue) AC4 seems like the natural next step for the series. Textures in the game are a bit outdated and a frame rate boost to a locked 60 plus 4K would be a perfect use of the next-gen hardware. What do you guys think? And do you think the previous remasters will get an update or patch for next-gen power?

Altair's different voice in AC 1.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 05:50 PM PDT

did the Animus in AC 1 change Altair's voice? since he sounded American in the first game, even though he wasn't, and since Clay had used the same Animus that Desmond used, does this mean that Clay heard Ezio with an American voice? maybe.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 01:49 PM PDT

Strange moments with the cloak glitching through the horse and other items is really frustrating as it should be one of the first things to be fixed. Am I the only one that cares about this?

Blowing up Oil pots looks like it will finally be useful

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 11:33 AM PDT

One of my favorite dumb things to do in both Origins and Odyssey is after I clear a camp or a fort, I like to line up all the red pots and create a chain reaction that burns as much stuff as possible. I guess I am an arsonist at heart.

Does it look to anyone else that doing this will finally mean something in Valhalla? It appears you will be able to blow open walls and doors, but I can't find an article confirming that. You guys never miss anything, so I thought I'd ask if my explosives habit will finally be useful!

What could be the significance of Norway being a location featured in AC Valhalla - both in the historic, but also in the modern-day plotline?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 12:13 PM PDT

I was replaying the Ezio trilogy earlier this year, and I've been cautiously optimistic towards Valhalla ever since it was announced. But, as more of it has been revealed, I've started speculating what they could do in such a setting. Then I remembered it partially takes place in Norway, and the codex map from AC2 came to mind (https://i.redd.it/nayuxyyybuu51.jpg).

Notice the Assassin's Creed symbols dotted around the map. While the white dots most likely represent Pieces of Eden, the Creed symbols are never explained - as far as I know. We know nothing of the ones in Australia, Africa, and Europe. Nor do we know anything of those in South-America or Asia.

The one we DO know something about is the one in North-America, as that is where the Grand Temple - a pivotal location for the "end of the world" plot - is located. Based on this information, the Creed symbols indicate where very important Isu structures are located.

There just happens to be one of these important Isu structures in Norway, around the present-day county of Nordland, which was settled by the Scandinavians during the 9th century (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_expansion#/media/File:Viking_Expansion.svg), a century which is drawing to a close during the events of Valhalla.

Could this be an indication of where the modern-day storyline could be going in Valhalla, or am I just reaching as hard as I possibly can in order to make my home country as important as possible in the AC universe? Who knows.

Never played an AC game before, but im totally excited for Valhalla - i have some questions tho

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 05:10 PM PDT

    • is there legendary' loot? ie. stuff you could get from strong enemies
    • is it important to decide early where you put your skillpoints in the skilltree? or can you always reset that and distribute the points again?
    • i heard that the currency is fairly limited early on, how do i know where to spend it? (-i assume there will be guides for that once the game drops anyways)

The history of the Precursor Box.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 04:46 PM PDT

The Precursor Box is probably the second most famous MacGuffin in the AC Series after the Apples.

Spoilers ahead, for pretty much every game.

It's very interesting to piece it's story together chronologically.

It starts, according to not confirmed fan theory in Altairs possession. Ezio finds it, in Altairs grave, during AC Revelations.

Ezio gives it to his last pupil Shao Jun, during the short film AC Embers.

She looses the box to the templars during AC Chronicals China.

Hunderts of years later Adewale steals it back from French templars in Port-au-Prince in Freedom Cry. The assassins cause an earth quake there by activating the box.

Laurence Washington steals it for the templars, Shay Patrick Cormac steals it back, but then leaves the Assassins after triggering an earthquake in Lissabon in Rogue.

Though Shay hunts them down, the Assassins hide the box for years, until Shay kills Arnos father in Paris and gets it back. This is also the prologue for Unity.

It is past down to the britisch Templar William Sleeman in AC Chronical India, who discoveres one needs the Koh-i-Nohr to unlock it's true power. The stone is stolen back by Abraz Mir.

He gives it to the father of the Fry twins from Syndicate.

The box stays in templar hands and ends up with Zar Nikolajj II. After his execution his daughter accidentaly activates it in AC Chronicles Russia and is possessed by Shao Juns spirit.

The box is left in Assassin Hands.

In 2014 Otso Berg steals it back and the box has been with Abstergo ever since, as part of Project Phoenix.
