Recently Bought the Ezio Collection for PS4 Posted: 17 Oct 2020 05:26 PM PDT I cannot tell you how weird it is to go back and play Desmond now as a character when I'm now physically older than he ever became. I was 14 when ACII came out, and I'm now 26. I've become older than the characters I played that made such an impact in my gaming history. It's weird, and amazing, and actually kind of disconcerting if I'm honest. On a different note, going back and playing ACII after actually Studying Abroad in Italy, specifically Florence, is amazing. The streets I walked, the places I visited, the historical locations that were important then and equally now. I've been there, even if mine was real life and not a video game. The art work and details that go into these games are so amazing. The artists and researchers who gather that information and create it digitally deserve all the credit. They do it so damn well [link] [comments]
Would you pay for a remake of the first Assassin's Creed game using the engine from AC Unity? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 09:35 PM PDT Many of the assets from AC Unity at the very beginning of the game make me think that Assassin's Creed 1 would look gorgeous if they redid it using the engine that powers assassin's Creed Unity. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
Dialogue settings for the dialogue options. Posted: 17 Oct 2020 11:56 AM PDT I wouldn't mind.. or well... I would prefer if we could tick a box in the game settings that would automatically just pick the dialogue option that suits the canon Eivor the most and not show the options. So we who prefer AC without dialogue options can enjoy the game without hiccups in the conversations. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Oct 2020 01:23 PM PDT I played both Origins and Odyssey so I don't know when the Tours were added to the game relative to its release date. [link] [comments]
Valhalla seems to be the perfect entry for COOP to return to the franchise Posted: 17 Oct 2020 09:33 AM PDT And I think it will, similar to how Ghost Of Tsushima added it post launch. What am I basing this on? Some of the mechanics we see in the game. A wealth of customization options, tattoos, hairstyles, hair colours, choosing your gender... Not only that, but the Jormsviking is essentially a character creator tool. These systems are almost too good to not use for coop. I think it may be a separate mode, similar almost to Red Dead/GTA online. Create your Viking, have access to the full open world, drop in with your friend and raid towns and villages, build your own settlement... I want my friend to be on the ground swinging his battle axe while I creep along the rooftops and take out enemies silently. It's just such a perfect iterations of the franchise for coop and I really hope Ubisoft capitalize on it. Edit: I've also just thought, Unity struggled with handling both crowds and coop, but now with the power of next gen that might not be an issue. [link] [comments]
What animals are going to be in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:56 PM PDT Okay I know this might be stupid but the animals are sorta one of the favorite things about the worlds in Assassin's Creed. They are pretty detailed, especially the ones in Origins. These are the ones that I know of. The devs said that their would be 45 animals. Imagine if we could go harpooning in Valhalla. What other animals do you guys think could be in the game?

AC Valhalla Deep Dive V.S. Influencers and Previewers Gameplay Videos Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:29 PM PDT First off before you guys say I'm here to bash AC, I've played EVERY SINGLE AC game to date and I've 100% all of them including putting over 150 hours into both Odyssey and Origins. A couple of days ago Ubisoft released a Deep Dive trailer and it absolutely blew my mind. The game lighting looked amazing like there's a glow to the game, landscape were colorful and the animation were great. Then I've seen gameplay videos from previewers like YongYea and also other random gameplay video and the game looks different like it looks less colorful and more stale and not as polished. I'm thinking about pre ordering Valhalla and I'm wondering was the Deep Dive trailer the actual way the game will look and play or is the game going to look and play like the videos the previewers showed off. I don't know if the Deep Dive trailer is using an older version of the game which looks different before they optimized it and gave it to the previewers to play or if the previewers played the older version and the Deep Dive is actually the latest version? Is the Deep Dive version of the game the next gen console and high end PC version of the game? I plan on getting the PS5 version of Valhalla. [link] [comments]
I'm getting worried about the cape physics in Valhalla Posted: 17 Oct 2020 04:19 AM PDT We're only a bit under a month before we get our hands on this game. From what I see in the latest build of the game, the cape physics leaves something left to be desired. And I'm getting kinda worried, since the game is right around the corner. I hope they fix it. How good would an Assassin's Creed in Moscow be? And which time period could it be in? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 07:58 PM PDT As someone looking and trying to get into the series, I am interested in seeing if a Moscow setting in an assassins' creed would work out. Why or why wouldn't it? Assassins creed odyssey new game plus is fun Posted: 17 Oct 2020 08:51 AM PDT So I just recently beat the game and decided to do a new game plus playthrough. And I must say it's a lot fun going through the beginning of the game with the enemies scaled to you (lvl 40). I like that cause then I won't get bored of being overpowered granted cause of my 50k assassin damage I can one hit assassinate normal enemies and captains, but combat wise I'm glad I can't just cut down enemies with one swing it makes it so much more fun [link] [comments]
ACIII Question - Are both sides patriots? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 04:24 PM PDT So I'm replaying the game for the first time since it came out and I've noticed both connor and the templars support the patriots. Can someone explain this Best I can come up with is enemies fighting on the same side, where connor is supporting washington while the templars are trying to replace him with Charles Lee [link] [comments]
Do you think Valhalla will reference odyssey? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 11:25 AM PDT Do you think any reference to anything in it will be in the game (except for modern day) [link] [comments]
What are some of the more obscure things in the lore a newcomer should know? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 11:43 PM PDT Hi all, so I've started my journey into the AC games with Odyssey (I know, but it was on sale a while back) and moved onto origins, completing the dlcs for both games and getting platinum trophies as well. I've since gone back and started playing assassins creed 3 remastered, and am not too far into sequence 4. I know the broad strokes of the overall lore through the games I've played and timeline videos I've found on youtube, but I know that only covers so much. So what are some things that aren't usually brought up that someone like me should know, to really grasp the overall lore of the franchise? (I don't care for spoilers, so don't hold back) [link] [comments]
What style of clothing is Assassin’s Creed? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:56 AM PDT I cosplayed as Ezio last year, but I wanted something close to that type of clothing again for this year. Another good example is the clothing from Dishonored. It's steampunk, but it's not. Does anybody know what the general style of the clothing is called? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Oct 2020 05:06 AM PDT So as we know Darby promised that Valhalla will not only encircle the franchise(will serve as a bridge between Origins and AC1) but also will answer some questions that we have for a long time.So I made a list of 21 most important, unanswered and interesting plot related questions that yet should be answered .My hope is that at least 5 out of these 21 questions will be answered in Valhalla. 1.What is the fate of Omega Team currated by Allan Rikkin from Heresy novel? Regarding Odyssey and Origins Combat Mechanics Posted: 17 Oct 2020 02:26 PM PDT Hello, I wanted to post here because I've been considering buying Odyssey and/or Origins now that they are on sale, but I have a few reservations for both games's combat mechanics. Specifically, Origins looks like it has bad AI. I mean, really bad AI. I mean, hilariously bad AI. I was watching a comparison video on YouTube that shows what I mean perfectly--it can be found here and in case there is a problem with the timestamp, I'm looking at 4:32. Then the problem I see with Odyssey is that the enemies look like damage sponges. I am mostly OK with mythical creatures being damage sponges, but the more human and "normal" an enemy is, the more I want my expert assassin to one-shot them. However, in that same video I embedded above, there's a clip at 3:48 where you can see some normal dude tanking hits like he's Hercules. All this being said, I understand that Ubisoft sometimes pulls out updates, patches, and remasters and attempts to fix some problems. Since it's been a few years post release (and a few years since the video I mentioned twice published), I was wondering if Ubisoft addressed these issues at all. To be more specific, I'm asking for combat comparisons and if Odyssey is still full of sponges and Origins AI is still terrible. [link] [comments]
cant become tier one merc in odyssey Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:50 PM PDT i killed the tier one merc and now it says undiscovered. im still in tier two and i keep killing all the mercs around me but nothing changes. there is nothing in tier two or three anymore. [link] [comments]
A theory about Sigurd turning the Order of Ancients into the Templars Posted: 17 Oct 2020 04:46 PM PDT As we can see on Sigurds armor, he clearly has a templar cross on his belt and his paldrons. Now many people assume that Sigurd is actually an order of ancient member since Eivor has the prophecy to betray Sigurd as mentioned by Darby McDevitt. I have a very interesting theory about how Darby will make the Sigurd storyline quite interesting and unpredictable. In his most recent interview, Darby McDevitt states that he always imagined that the Order of Ancients were similar to each other at the core but had slight differences which he said was something that was important for him to show on Valhalla. He mentions one of these old idea were the medallions that they wear. To make this unpredictable, I think Sigurd will side with you for the full story and help you and the assassins in the battle to tackle the order of ancients, which will then leave the player to have no doubt that Sigurd is not aligned with order of ancients. However, a twist could be that Sigurd, whos core value align with the acients, will have certain things that he doesn't like about them and will want to change, as the order of ancients are powered by greed, Sigurd will try throughout the game to side with the kings and promote his new idea of the Templars. At first they will refuse the idea, so Sigurd will side with you and help you defeat the order of the ancients. After this the story will seem to suit Eivor, and the assassins will celebrate, however Sigurd has been forming the Templars all this time. This would be a great twist that instead of the Order of ancients evolving into the Templars, they are actually defeated by the Templars, who then use their core value but the adds to them and changes things to allow them to evolve to be even bigger. This could be interesting [link] [comments]
Will we be able to name our custom raiders and change their tattoos/hair? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 07:41 AM PDT I'm a huge simp for having totally custom groups, however all the videos I find just change the equiptment loadout and skip through presets. [link] [comments]
Possible new legacy outfit in Assassin's Creed Valhalla Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:20 AM PDT Hello dear assassins or templars. After the release of a new video where they showed an native american , as well as after the words that the main character will visit America. The question arose: will Connor's suit and possibly his tomahawk be added? In my opinion, now is the perfect opportunity to add them. Since in the game, as never before, many axes, including throwing ones, have appeared. Connor's costume, in my opinion, in a northern theme would also look good! To be honest, Ezio's costume is already pretty tired.Do you think this is possible? [link] [comments]
Is Assassins Creed Valhalla Related to Previous Games? Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:05 PM PDT I used to be a fan of Assassins Creed games and I thoroughly enjoyed the first few games but I stopped playing after Assassins Creed Black Flag bcoz imo the upcoming games were nowhere near as good as the first 3. However AC Valhalla looks better. Any ideas if it's story is connected somehow with the previous games that I've not played or it's a separate story and I won't miss anything even if I haven't played the last few games? Thanks [link] [comments] |
