Today, we meet some unexpected people from our past and we have to help them, and decide their fate. After finding all the requested Guardians for Hades, and the Keeper's Insights, we should then be ready to take on Hades himself. Finally, we're back to the Modern Day with Layla. Today's Targets: The Cyclops, Hounds of Hades, Bane of Brasidas, HadesODYSSEY NOTESPlease note, it is strongly recommended to play on New Game Plus. It'll be easier to keep up with the fast pace of the Marathon not having to worry as much about resources, money & gear, and leveling up your character and ship. During the Marathon, we will be playing the family story, and the First Civ story. We will not be covering the elimination of all the Cultists, only the ones as defeated during the other two story lines. There are several continuous quests that you will need to complete on your own in order to proceed with the last quest, 'Labors of the Keeper'. They are listed in today's quest list, but if you've been doing them through Episode 2 you may have already completed them. Assassin's Creed 1 was designed to be played without a HUD and many people don't know/overlook this Posted: 06 Nov 2020 10:30 AM PST The game is at its best when played with all HUD turned off. It is the most stripped back for a reason. It isn't suppsed to play like a game, it's a simulation with game mechanics. It is completely overlooked that Assassin's Creed is designed to be played without a HUD. AC1 was designed to make you feel like an Assassin rather than to tell an interesting story, or entertain you with its mechanics. Most of the game's loops are rendered repetitive and boring by the inclusion of the HUD late in development, because you are always told where to go and what to do, so you are mostly passive in the experience. When you turn off the HUD, those loops actually work much better towards making you feel like Altaïr. Take the first investigation in Masyaf after you've been stripped of your rank. With the HUD, you just run straight to the marker, then to the next marker, and then investigation over. Without the HUD, you get told at the fortress gate to look around the market. You go to the market, and see two people talking suspiciously. You then learn from them that the basketweaver was involved. So, you look around and see a building with tonnes of baskets outside, so you know you've found them. You then get the information from them and overhear the herald ranting about Al Mualim and thus know to interrogate him. Every sequence plays out like this. Listening to the dialogue tells you exactly where you need to go. Hearing a loop hints to you you're in an area for an interrogation for example. Most people also just immediately start doing the 6 tasks building up to the assassination. This is not what's supposed to be done (as you wouldn't know since there'd be no HUD). You're supposed to go to the Bureau and the Bureau Leader will tell you where to start. You go there, do the task and you will find out where to go next until you have gathered enough info. [Spoilers] Maps Of All Regions + Some New Info Posted: 06 Nov 2020 04:38 PM PST Contains some story spoilers and the maps itself can be considered as spoilers, so view at you own risk. https://www.powerpyx.com/assassins-creed-valhalla-full-world-map/ Some new info for people who don't want to click on the link: -All regions in the game are open and fully explorable, even the mythical ones -Sadly no Scotland/Syria/Iceland and other regions people wanted to see in the game (it's also confirmed by the files in game folder) -There might be one surprise region tho. The game folder contains another region labeled as "endgame". Maybe it's the location for modern day story, so don't get your hopes up. My guess: Valhalla, since the artbook had a whole section dedicated to it Edit: added additional spoiler tags [link] [comments]

What are your opinions on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, 5 years later? Posted: 06 Nov 2020 03:56 PM PST The only Assassin's Creed games I've played were Unity and Syndicate, 5 years after their release. Each game has its pros and cons. Unity had gorgeous graphics and great combat, but had a predictable story and clunky parkour. Syndicate had cool gameplay mechanics, but it's story was ok, maybe a little better than Unity's. After playing the two, I prefer Syndicate over Unity. Probably because 70% of my time in Unity was spent yelling at Arno for not jumping onto the FREAKING ledge. I don't prefer Syndicate because of its story or mechanics, but because of the characters. Each character was interesting and charismatic in their own way. (Except for Greenie. The romance between him and Evie was horrible.) Both of these games received hate and love from the fan base, so I was wondering what are your opinions on Syndicate? And do you prefer Syndicate or Unity? [link] [comments]

Interview Questions for Raphael Lacoste Posted: 06 Nov 2020 12:25 PM PST Hey guys! I've recently been given the amazing opportunity to interview Raphael Lacoste on behalf of Ubisoft's Export countries and as their female Eivor cosplayer for South Africa. As someone who's been in the AC community for a while, I wanted to extend the opportunity to you guys and find out whether there's any questions that you'd like me to ask him; or if there's anything that you'd like to know about his work, both past and present (Valhalla). Obviously with Valhalla's release coming up, they'll want me to stick to that topic as much as possible; but I'm sure they won't mind branching off into the other AC games that he's worked on. Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with! :) [link] [comments]

Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Facial Animations are 100% improved Posted: 06 Nov 2020 02:25 AM PST Ok, so you can find lots of new gameplay from the final build of the game on YouTube. In those gameplay segments the facial animations look miles better than anything we've seen so far. I'd even go so far as to call the Witcher 3 level [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Nov 2020 10:55 PM PST I Have just completed assasins creed origins for the 3rd time this month, and i still freaking love it First, Bayek and his motivations are really interesting to me and his relationship with Aya. Second i like the combat system, i like the combos the skill tree and i would very much be happy to see ubisoft make a sequel for Bayek and Aya. Last, I would like to know how they got back together because they were buried together and their adventures. [link] [comments]
