| Are there people here who enjoyed playing Odyssey more than Origins? Posted: 21 Sep 2020 06:59 AM PDT My first AC in Layla series was in Ancient Greece, I was stunned by the graphics, mechanics, maybe the plot was not the best one. But I just really enjoyed overall gameplay. Got 100% in 170 hrs. Took a 3-month break and started Origins. But I don't enjoy it as much as Odyssey. The plot was good, but in some moments plot was rushed. I want to love this game. But I just cannot. Can you share your experiences? [link] [comments] | ||

| I would've liked to have seen a game set in ancient Rome as well Posted: 21 Sep 2020 04:35 PM PDT As per the title, after playing through the stories of both origins and odyssey, I definitely wouldn't have minded another RPG AC set in and around ancient Rome as well. According to the original leaker who leaked origins, he said there would be a trilogy of games with the first one being set in Egypt, then Greece and then Rome. We've gotten the first 2 but it seems we never actually got the 3rd setting which is a shame. That last mission on origins really clinched my interest in an entire game set during then. | The last assassin’s creed game will be about the first civilization Posted: 21 Sep 2020 04:38 PM PDT I just finished playing ac syndicate and as I was reading through the database I remembered what the Phoenix Project is about: "to sequence the triple-helix genome of the First Civilization". So my theory is that in the last ac we'll go through the memory of someone from the first civilization (probably the sage?) and we'll see firsthand what happened to the first civ (probably Juno, Minerva, and Jupiter), the humans, and that solar explosion thingy that killed everyone. | [AC3 TOKW] How do you 100% the mission “Dark Waters”? Posted: 21 Sep 2020 11:03 PM PDT Specifically the "destroy 80% of Washington's armada in the upper bay" objective. I've been googling this and there doesn't seem to be a consensus as to what causes the next cutscene to trigger and the objective to be missed. I've seen "don't move too far away from the minefield", I've seen "once the second wave spawns hurry to them and sink as many of them as you can", but no matter what I do the cutscene triggers and it seems basically random. Posted: 21 Sep 2020 07:18 AM PDT As a original AC fan in my opinion (yes it's just an opinion) the recent AC games have strayed so far from what AC was all along that I feel the franchise had lost its step. Odyssey was a great game but if I was to jump in without knowing the title 95% of the game wouldn't even feel like an AC game. There's no hidden blade, there's no mention of the order till DLC, and it lacked that down to earth feel because you were a Demigod with abilities that reflected this. Now this is where I feel Valhalla may come in to "save the day". The producers have said that this game is supposed to be a more down to earth xp with footage that reflects this. I feel like this game could be the game that gets the franchise back on track to a more human feel. That I as an original AC fan absolutely loved about the earlier games. [link] [comments] | ||

I have played some of the AC games on console (1, the Ezio games, 3, some of black flag, almost finished with Unity) and I know there are some non console games like Bloodlines. I have 0 experience with handheld systems and own none of them. Is there a way to play any of these, preferably on a PC or console (ps 2-4 please, we have particular standards in my household 😋)? I'm very handheld stupid so I've done a little googling, but I'm not sure if there's something particular I need to look up. | AC Origins Fall and Rise of an Empire loading screen glitch still present on Xbox one 2 years later Posted: 21 Sep 2020 06:31 AM PDT So I've been playing and came across this infinite loading screen glitch. Exact problem ppl were having 2 years and is now happening to me. I've tried all the solutions they listed and they don't work. Restart obj, restart app, hard reboot Xbox. Only thing I haven't done is uninstall because if I do that then I'm probably just going to be done with the game. Truly is a shame because it's such a good game but if Ubisoft can't even patch a problem that was prevalent 2 years ago then I'm not going to go outta my way to resolve it. Any advice that doesn't involve uninstalling would be appreciated. Also don't want to start another play through as I've already done so much and do not feel like going through it all again. Edit: for anyone who comes across this problem on the Xbox one in the future, I solved it. Idk I'd this works 100% of the time but it worked for me when nothing else did. I uninstalled both DLCs then redownloaded them. After that I loaded up the game like normal and once back into the game I restarted the quest obj twice. | Can the assassin's creed odyssey permanent xp boost be turned off? Posted: 21 Sep 2020 05:22 AM PDT I got the game when it was released as a promo with my graphics card but only started playing it this year (benefit from all the patches and higher level cap though). I just bought the season pass and I've searched the sub with google and all the results are quite old and in some cases unclear. I want to buy the xp and drachmae boost but I think it likely I'll turn off the xp boost as I've been playing on hard and only felt under leveled once. I feel constantly short of drachmae but not xp but I don't want to buy the drachmae boost and then wish I'd got the xp boost too as they've priced them together with 25% off if you buy both together.
