Why is Ubi love introducing cool features in these games that never make a return? Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:15 AM PDT There are some on off gimmicks I'm glad didnt make a return, like the castle defense game in Revelations. But there are some great ideas that come into these games and you never see them again, and it makes you feel like these games don't builds on one another. Most recently this would be the Transmog feature from odyssey. Why isnt this in valhalla? You know what would of been amazing to see a return in this game to? The homestead mission in AC3 were some of the best parts of that game and would of been perfect to see something similar in Raventhorpe. I know we havent been an assassin for a few games now, but the assassin initiation scenes in brotherhood where you leveled up your initiates were another highlight that was a great addition but hasnt been reintroduced. Valhalla: IMO for more immersive gameplay, switch off the Compass HUD Posted: 26 Apr 2021 12:54 PM PDT With the compass on I felt like I was just mindlessly going from waypoint to waypoint. Aside from decluttering the HUD, I found that after I switched it off I was relying almost entirely on the Raven to find points of interest and orient myself. Up until this point the Raven had been completely pointless. Also, by using the raven I found there were way more titanium and opals around than I had ever noticed. It's a small switch, but helps to mitigate the repetitive/ mindlessness that can happen after a while. [link] [comments]
Tree Parkour in Valhalla Had a Lot of Potential Posted: 26 Apr 2021 06:45 AM PDT Valhalla has a bunch of new and unique tree models that are actually pretty fun to climb, when you can do it. They're full of winding and twisting branches which leads to lots of potential routes through them. Tree parkour route through 5 trees: https://gfycat.com/windyantiquebarb More advanced route through some of the trees: https://gfycat.com/mintycoarsebellfrog These clips are taken from the eastern forest in Glowecestrescire.
Now there's quite a bit of jank on the trees, you can see me get stuck a few times, but to an extent that's part of the fun. It brings back some of the potential danger of falling while climbing/parkouring that had been missing since the Ezio games. Obviously though, if any of you have tried to climb the trees as much as I have, there is way too much jank. Many trees are strangely unclimbable from the ground even if they have obvious handholds, while others you can scale without anything clear to grab onto. You can easily get stuck or miss a branch. You can see me attempt the same climb twice early in the first clip. For some reason it fails the first time but succeeds the second. And of course, there aren't really any true paths through the trees, and any that do occur seem to happen by accident. But if they just smoothed out all these trees, and there are a good number of models, mapped out all the parkourable endpoints on each model (basically, the tips of all the branches) and then setup an automated system that connected these endpoints together when placing models, they could create entire forests that are parkourable with their landscape generation tool and not even really need to plan out routes manually. It would add some cool gameplay opportunities to free roam content like hunting, killing roaming enemies, mysteries (the one where the crow steals a ring from a little girl I found a way to get to the nest by climbing the nearby tree), and even be something they could have leveraged more for main missions if the developers knew it was available. Plus, it'd be fun in its own right. What do people think? Would this have been worth doing for Ubisoft? [link] [comments]
Just wondering what Game is your guys favorite Posted: 26 Apr 2021 07:57 PM PDT So I was wondering which attack on titan game is your guys favorite like I Personally love Attack On Titan Valhalla and Attack On Titan 2 u guys know right? The one with Ezio as the main character using the ODM gear (otherwise known as the Hidden blade I believe) so I was just wondering thanks! [link] [comments]
New article on Popular Science about building the world in AC Valhalla Posted: 26 Apr 2021 06:04 PM PDT Definitely worth reading! ... "From Research to Reality" - How UbiSoft built the world of AC Valhalla. I found it particularly interesting that all the recent games started with Google Earth meshes. But, lots of interesting info in here. https://www.popsci.com/story/technology/making-assassins-creed-valhalla/ [link] [comments]
Black Flag Remastered be the AC of 2021 Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:55 AM PDT So I'm REALLY hoping that the AC they release this year is ACB remastered. Since the likelihood of a brand new title is slim to none, and they've already remastered 2-3 I think logically BF would be next. I think it would be so amazing to have upgraded visuals and mechanics to the already outstanding game. [link] [comments]

How long does it take Warehouses to reset in AC Rogue? Posted: 26 Apr 2021 04:18 PM PDT It seems like a couple that i have done are still listed as "Empty" and it's been several days, both in game and real life. Is there something that i need to do to trigger them to be full again or will it just happen randomly? [link] [comments]
[Origins] Trials of Sobek and Anubis Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:47 PM PDT I bought origins a few days ago and I've been grinding out levels as fast as I can to try to beat the timed quests before they end but I was just wondering what they actually are and what the reward for doing them is just to know wether I should just start ng+ or wait until I finish them [link] [comments]
I bought the gold edition of ac origins on my ps4, how do i access the season pass? Are there any comics about the Indian brother hood of assassins? Posted: 26 Apr 2021 08:37 AM PDT I thought there was one with Evie but I don't remember [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:41 AM PDT What happens to the armor of Brutus after brotherhood? Did he just leave it for a recruit or was it lost? Has this been answered? [link] [comments]
Is the St. George Armor worth investing in? Posted: 26 Apr 2021 03:01 PM PDT I've just managed to get the complete set. Story-wise I am at Oxenefordscire. Previously I was using the Raven Clan Armour with dual wield Varin Axe and Housecarl Axe. Would appreciate your view Reddit. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:51 AM PDT So I got back from Norway at the end of the game where I managed to get the "good" ending. However I dont understand how Eivor isn't able to piece together the fact that Basim is Loki reincarnate and that he wants revenge. I finished the Asgard arc and Eivor remembers everything that happens when he wakes up. Should'nt he have realised the first time he was in Asgard that Tyr is Sigurd and that Loki is Basim. The face and voice are obvious giveaways aren't they? Anyways maybe there's a logical explanation for this but I just found it weird that Eivor wasnt at all able to piece things together [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Apr 2021 03:51 AM PDT Does bonus apply when I have 5 pieces of armor or do I have to equip a weapon with the same alignment too to get the bonus? "Hero stats" doesn't reflect the changes from all aligned gear [link] [comments] |
