So... I'm playing Unity for the first time.

    Posted:

I never bothered to pick up Rogue or Unity after Black Flag and have played them all out of order. I just finished Rogue and started Unity to say... Holy shit. This game is absolutely phenomenal so far. The story is simply eh, but the game itself is one the most beautiful games I've ever played. It feels insanely immersive and the parkour is some of the best I've ever experienced in the series. Everything from the architecture to the kills to the damn blood spatter on the walls simply is astounding so far.

I'm curious, what exactly was the general hate for this game? Does anyone else feel like this?

Where to find assassin tombs ac2

    Posted:

So I'm playing ac 2 for the first time and was wondering when I can find the rest of the tombs. I'm in sequence 5 and have gotten 3 of the tombs. Where and when can I find the last 3? Thanks

Captain Cooks voice makes me want to quit.

    Posted:

Ughhhhhhhhhh. I'm from Scotland and this Captain Cook in AC Rogue has the weirdest, most forced accent I have ever heard. It's clear it's an American trying to do some sort of Scottish accent, but coming from Scotland myself, everytime I hear his voice it just infuriates me.

    What’s with the trapped wolves?

    Posted:

Does anyone know what's up with freeing the wolves you tend to come across randomly when either exploring or looking for supplies? I've come across this twice now and after you free the wolves they tend to just follow you around. Does anyone know why they follow you around? or why you have an option of saving them? is just something you can do one free time or is it apart of something?

Jean Guesdon, one of the creative directors for Assassins Creed Origins, was spotted at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California, confirming the latest leaks that we will have an Assassin's Creed set on the moon.

The leaks indicated that a new game in the franchise set in the cold war, more specifically in the space race between the United States and the USSR, is being developed.

Art director Raphael Lacoste, who is a super fan of space concept art, has already had a post deleted on his Instagram in which he was dressing a NASA space suit with the following description:

    "The best working progress ever".

Recalling that we already saw in AC2 that the Apollo 11 mission was orchestrated by Abstergo to rescue a piece from Eden. Will this mystery be revealed?

What did u enjoyed the most from each AC game you have played?

    Posted:

As someone who never played the first 3 AC games (which I'm told are the best) I hate hearing how much the later AC games suck. Instead of rating the AC games from best to worst this post is about the highlight of each game, what is the most outstanding thing that each AC game did?

Here is my list of what I enjoyed the most from each AC game:

    • I only played from part 3 to Valhalla (still have not finished Valhalla, Rogue or 3)

AC 3: The Plot Twist (The reveal of the person I was playing as caught me off guard)

AC Black Flag: The Ship Combat

AC Rogue: Playing as a Templar

    AC Unity: Large Crowds

AC Syndicate: The Mobile Base (Train)

    AC Origins: The Music

    AC Odyssey: The Female Protagonist

AC Valhalla: Calling in your Clan to Raid

I love punishment. Plan to 1000/1000 every AC game

    Posted:

Whilst waiting for the Mass Effect game to release and being bored asf due to the stay at home malarkey, I've decided to play Assassin's Creed from 1 straight through to Valhalla.

It did start off rough due to both 1 and 2 being dated asf, even though AC2 did receive a remaster. I've 1000/1000 AC1, AC2, AC Syndicate (that was done out of order), and I'm currently at around 520/1000 for Brotherhood so far.

I'm assuming the most difficult ones will be both Unity and Black Flag due to their online requirements. Odyssey won't be so bad as I was midway through that game before i stopped a few months ago and i plat'd that on PS4. Never played 3, Valhalla or Origins so those will be new experiences.

The stealth in Odyssey is... Disappointing.

    Posted:

I've been playing Odyssey for the first time, and I've been enjoying it, but I find myself disappointed with the stealth mechanics. It's still fun, don't get me wrong, it's just simple. Going into a fort, all you really need to do is tag all the enemies and take them out one by one. If you have an objective in a fort or camp, your only option is to sneak around and kill people, which granted is kinda the point, but I feel there's a missed opportunity. Wouldn't it be cool of you could dress up as a Spartan soldier and walk around a camp in unotticed, sabotaging as you go! What happened to mingling in crowds to escape your persuers? Or hiring prostuites to distract guards?

Even stuff like opening cages to let out animals barely does anything, I opened a bear cage and expected it to maul nearby enemies, but they put it down in a few seconds.

Also some of the upgrades make stealth pathetically easy, like the on the hides bodies and the one where you can chain spear assassinations, don't get me started on the one that makes you FUCKING INVISIBLE.

Assasins Creed Unity has good concepts, badly done.

    Posted:

I am in Sequence 6 now.

In the beginning for around the first 4 sequences the game was fine. It was fun, few glitches that kill you here and there, which is bad enough but acceptable.

Now, it is just bad. By far the worst, most frustrating AC experience I have ever had.

The Mission design is horrendous. Last mission I played was legit unplayable unless you have lockpicking 2 or you are more lucky than a guy that won lottery, yet you have no hint that you shall skill that before doing the mission.

The only reason I managed to escape was because I ran and WAS lucky.

If you fight, good luck, there are 3 billion enemies in small indoor areas, where you can at best kill one of each group stealth, then the entire complex is alarmed (I wonder what the alarm bells are for when they already got wireless communications 1791 apparently)

You get raped from all angles while your combat cam is zoomed onto your shithead as if it is a point of interest in a multi person fight. You see absolutely NOTHING.

Trying to escape stealth? Well good luck, I have yet to find a stealth mechanic that works other than the standard ones that DO work, but inconsistently unlike in other AC's.

For example, the cherry bomb says to attract enemies to its location. Spoiler alert: it never did.

Enemies look at it for a second and go back to work. They barely move an inch.

Smoke bomb? Well, its cool, however, you cant assassinate in smoke, you have to regularly fight.

Air assasination? Well good luck its a 50:50 chance you assasinate the highlighted target or someone else.

Double assasination on ground? Well good luck 50:50 chance you assasinate both simultaneously or assasinate one guy and the other gets alerted.

Trying to efficiently move from cover to cover? Good luck 50:50 chance you get stuck in an object for no apparent reason and have to try to undo yourself which usually results in being spotted.

Trying to disguise yourself? Well good luck it appears enemies don't give a flying poop if you are disguised or not 50% of the time.

Phantom blade stealth ranged assasination? Well, matter of fact is it doesn't assassinate based on the enemies level.

Accidently started the dlc as a low level guy? Well, good luck, you have to somehow finish the first mission with these horrible stealth "mechanics" or running and being lucky since you cannot block or fight anything in any way shape or form because it is too high level, otherwise you cannot quit the DLC map, or even the first mission there.

It feels like the game wants me to do missions in a Hitman style way, yet it fails to supply even barely 1/100 of the stealth mechanics you would find in a Hitman game.Just a terrible terrible experience extremely frustrating and annoying. It is not that you could do anything with more skill when every mechanic is in fact so glitchy and badly implemented.

It had so much potential but I am glad now that I bought it for 5 bucks now instead of the full price back in the day.

The Truth: What does it mean?

    Posted:

In the last 2 years I started to play AC and, when I played AC II, The Truth thing really captured my attention, even though I couldn't understand almost anything. Then I discovered that the thing continues in AC Brotherhood (that was the next AC on my list, so great!).

Now I've finished the glyphs in Brotherhood too and I understood even less the whole thing… 😅

Is there someone who understood what happened and maybe have made a video about it? Because now I'm too curious to give up understanding it…

If your crew doesn't follow you during monastery raids:

    Posted:

I've had this happen at times, crew doesn't follow enough to help with chests/doors sometimes. Most recently Wenloch Abbey had me so confused and annoyed, I almost went to bed. Alas, I decided to toot my horn on ground level outside, and continued to do so until I had arrived at my pre-baked pie destination.

Dual wield spear combo won't work on most enemies. Knock back happens before final hit

    Posted:

Has anyone else noticed this issue where if you attack with dual spears, most enemies will get knocked back right before the final finisher and you'll miss? This results in decreased damage output and it's my only gripe with spear dual wielding, which for all intents and purposes is already quite powerful.

I was hoping it'd get fixed with the latest patches, but it didn't.

SPOILER Something is bothering me about The Truth video in Valhalla

    Posted:

We see Odin and others transfers their minds and they go to face Solar flare. The thing is... if they are about to go extinct, why would they need swords ? They were just about to die and they went to war with something ? My guts tell me that there is another threat and were fighting against it. Like ubisoft is preparing for another threat for humans and ISU(how many of them are left to live in MD). Maybe another third race ?

What would you think about a stealth only AC game?

    Posted:

I've been playing valhalla alot recently and as an old AC fan I could not ignore how bad the stealth in this game is.

If you want to know more about my criticism you should check my previous post.

So I couldn't help but wishing if ubisoft made an stealth only AC game. Not like the chronicles triology tho. Like a full Ac game but this time it doesnt even give any melee weapons to the player but the hidden blade. That would make it boring right? Instead they can try developing stealth mechanics and the ways that you can assassinate your targets. If not limiting the player with hidden blade at least make detection very punishing so that would discourage players to go loud. Also it would please me if they tried to make the parkour more complex, something like mirror's edge so its not just holding directions to climb buildings.

I understand why ubisoft doesnt do that since most players dont even bother with stealth in the series. But would you look forward to this sorta AC game or not?

Assassin’s Creed Unity: is there a way I can reveal all collectibles’ locations without purchasing Helix Credits or interacting with Uplay?

    Posted:

Basically, I will be playing this game completely offline, so purchasing Helix Credits or getting them through Uplay is not an option. Is there another effective way to reveal collectibles without buying these maps with Helix Credits? These same maps were purchasable for 300 florins in Assassin's Creed II, an actual in-game currency that doesn't require an online connection or the spending of real money. But then again, Unity is made by Ubisoft so I'm not surprised by their microtransactions policy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Was AC3 always like this?

    Posted:

So I've been replaying AC3 remastered, it holds a special place in my heart because it's the first one I've ever played. I've managed to get to the actual free roaming part as Connor, and as I'm clearing the forts, I notice something.

It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to clear these with stealth. Killing lone enemies on the outskirts will trigger the alarms, guards are put on every viewpoint so there's no way to get in unseen. Enemies will almost always detect me killing someone, regardless if they can see me or not. It's driving me insane, was it always like this?

What do you reckon is the most realistic-viking-looking armor? What upgrade?

    Posted:

    Hi,

For me it's the Berseker or the Huldufolk. But those need to be bought.

I've downgraded them all. I would order them from the more-like to the least-like, like this:

    1. Raven, upgrade 0
    2. Huntsman, upgrade 0
    3. Magister, upgrade 0
    4. Galloglach, upgrade 0
    5. Brigandine, upgrade 0
    6. Thegn, upgrade 0
    7. Thor
    8. Mentor, upgrade 0
    9. Hidden

    What would be yours?

[SPOILERS] AC: Valhalla: What's going on in the Gray?

    Posted:

I'm gonna get this out of the way lol. I miss Desmond. I was psyched when I heard that familiar voice. Anyway, so it seems they're trying to either change the timeline or something. I have a chore of theories or speculations as to what could happen. I'm wondering, seeing how they are both descendants of Isu, will they change the timeline or go back and we see that they are the ones we see as Adam and Eve escaping with an Apple we saw in 2's Truth puzzle. Or, could we see them going back and interfering with....shit I don't know. I'm just very intrigued now and Layla has finally grown on me but seeing Desmond even if it was a weird shell of him. I do have a question though. I thought Shaun was going to send Layla to the vault we saw in the frontier near Boston as I believed that was the machine they were talking about, but the area looked nothing like in 3. I love this series though. Been a fan since the 1st.
