Just want to give a little love to Black Flag's sea shanties Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:12 AM PST They were my favorite music in the Assassins Creed series. They were catchy as hell and they sounded like they were sung by a pirate crew. I would avoid combat just so I could listen to entire shanties, which would backfire because the next one would start and I wouldn't want to stop it lol. [link] [comments]

Male Eivor has an amazing voice and it really fits his character Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:13 PM PST When he speaks he sounds really smooth and kind yet you can tell he's strong. He's like some kind of bear. But then he yells and he sounds badass and like he can tear you into two. It's honestly really awesome and I sincerely think it fits his character a lot more than the female Eivor does. Am I the only one who thinks so? [link] [comments]
Brotherhood assassin recruit system is awesome Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:46 PM PST Playing brotherhood for the first time, and was just introduced to the recruit system. This alone makes this one of my favorite ac games ever and Idk why. [link] [comments]

Evolution of the parkour (for the worst IMO) Posted: 09 Jan 2021 01:07 PM PST Has anyone else recently played the older games (AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations) and noticed how the parkour/free running is exactly that? Compared to the newer games where you can climb literally anything at any point/angle in about 10 seconds? The original parkour system definitely added an element of realism to the game due to the fact you can only climb up if there's a ledge or hand hole above you! I feel like the newer games have made me more impatient due to this. But after a while it really made me appreciate the older games more, having to take my time climbing a building and then having more time to take in the scenery! [link] [comments]
[Listing] New to the series. Was wondering what your personal rankings for the games are? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 10:43 PM PST So, I recently just finished my first AC game. I started with II, since I've heard that the first is a bit dated and II improves upon a lot of features from it (got the gist from walkthroughs and such). I bought pretty much every other mainline game from the Steam sale, and was thinking of getting into it. So, I was wondering what people's listings of the games are, just so I can get an idea what to expect. Even something like a top 5, or even a top 3 would also work. For a newbie, what would your rankings for the games in the series be? [link] [comments]
I love the mythological trilogy Posted: 09 Jan 2021 08:05 AM PST As the title states I love the new trilogy of ac games. From origins to Valhalla I've played them all and I love them. To me they are the best and yes I've played the og games but I find myself playing the trilogy a lot more and having more fun with it. Well that's my thoughts hope you all enjoy [link] [comments]
AC Valhalla Gear Upgrade Gallery? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:49 PM PST Anyone have a link to a consice and visual gallery of what armor and weapons? I'm incredibly hesitant to upgrade any of my gear, since there's no transmog or glamour options like in Oddessy. So before I waste material and get stuck with something hideous, I'd like to know what I would be stuck with. So far I can't find any decent images for the different upgrade stages for gear. Anybody have better luck than me? I'd compile one myself but 1. I have no pc to create those kinds of files with and 2. I don't even have all the gear yet... I know I can't be the only one who wants to look good while I do crimes, save the world, &c. [link] [comments]
Future period, Assassins Creed: Rome ? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:07 AM PST What are your thoughts on an Assassins Creed set in the Roman era during the period of Julius Ceasar? The map could take place in Italia, Rome, and move to places Julius Ceasar conquered, such as Spain, Gaul (Germany/France) and North Africa ( As Origins have Egypt and Odyssey have greece ) You could play as a Roman who supported Julius and have to conquer territories with him or as a Gaul/Spanish/Carthaganian who try to stop Julius in his conquest. There would be good options to implement assassins / templar lore in the period as well, since previous games references the old romans a lot. [link] [comments]
The Paradox between The Animus and The RPG Genre Posted: 09 Jan 2021 11:00 PM PST We all remember the time when Dr. Vidic gave Desmond the explanation of how the Animus works: "A projector which renders Genetic Memories in three dimensions." and as Desmond said: "The Animus lets you decode and read these DNA files." So we can all say that with the help of the Animus one person can "Relive the memories of his/her or someone else's ancestors." That was about the old versions of the Animus but it seems that Layla is using a new Animus called "Animus HR-8" which it seems can explore simulations of what might have been. But that really is pointless since the Assassins and Templars are in a race for knowledge of the First Civilization and it would be time-consuming and stupid to waste time exploring what might have been, which never was in the first place. In an RPG you have the control to change the outcome of situations whether it's as major as the main story or as minor as a simple conversation. But Assassin's Creed has always been about history (even if nowadays it's not that much as the early games were) and with the Animus you cannot change History since it's just a "Projector" and cannot alter the past. We can all say that Ubisoft made this irrational decision for its financial purposes since RPG genre is popular these days and sells better than a simple linear story but the whole point of the Animus cannot fit into this structure and it only does if the Animus has become a Time Machine and not a device merely meant for reliving genetic memories. now here me out... a triple A Shao jun assassins creed game Posted: 09 Jan 2021 06:01 PM PST imagine a Shao jun triple A game, where your with Ezio at the beginning for the prologue. then there is a time jump where you get filled in on the event of assassins creed china and then you go off to do the main story of the game. it would be so good, cause we haven't played as a proper assassin since syndicate (talking about Evie) and we have all seen so many different characters become assassins so many times, so playing as Shao jun we would skip all that. and best of all, she was trained by Ezio, so it would allow Ubisoft to bring back the parkour mechanics from the first 4 games (which is the best parkour). furthermore, if they added the rope dart from assassins creed Chronicles china, they could add it to the players parkour, by incorporating new mechanics to be able to use the rope dart in your parkour. They could also add an elegant flare to the parkour in this game, with Shao being so nimble and elegant with her movement. it would be such a great way to bring back original fans of the franchise and tell a new story focused more on the assassins and Templar. anyone have any thoughts? Is the distance in all ac games the same? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 06:00 PM PST if in origins it says the mission is 500 meters away, is it the same for the other games such as syndicate? [link] [comments]
An Assassin's Creed game set in Estonia Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:58 PM PST So, I know Estonia is probably too small and historically insignificant for Ubi to consider making a game set here, plus, our country's flatness would leave few places outside the cities to parkour on, but God damn it, it would be really cool and not just because I'm a patriot. There are several times in Estonian history where its people fought for freedom (something the Assassins could get behind):
In terms of gameplay, the Livonian Crusade IMO would work with the current RPG mechanics, but the Independence War game should definitely use the "classic" AC formula, with more emphasis on gunplay. The birb could find a way to return, but having traditional Eagle Vision would be nice. What do you folks think? [link] [comments]
Is it normal for odyssey to have such a long boot time on ps5? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 06:38 PM PST I've got this game plus all the dlc loaded on the the internal ssd and this game takes atleast 2 minutes from the PS5 Home Screen to gameplay. Is this normal? It seems way too long considering Spider-Man loads into gameplay within 15 seconds from the ps5 home. [link] [comments]
What if the in next game you were given the choice to become an assassin or templar? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 11:28 AM PST As the title says,I was wondering what it would be like if Ubisoft decided to switch up the flow and gave you the choice to become a templar or assassin. You basically start off as a theif which would help give you a basic story explanation of sneaking and traversing the city. Then somewhere in the first 5 or so hours of the game, you come across an isu artifact. You're approached by two factions (The Creed and the Templars) and based off your decision on who to give the artifact to, the game changes. For example depending on who you choose, your fighting style, traversal, gear, and skills could all be tailored to how that factions operates.Like if you're a templar, you can't sneak, but you do more damage with weapons etc Edit: I wanted to add that maybe having two characters who are either relatives or friends at the start of the game with one being an assassin and the other being a templar would make it easier for design purposes. Not sure how hard it was,but the closest example would be how Haytham couldn't traverse trees, but Connor could. Valhalla: When should I complete this location (Mid-Game Spoilers). Posted: 09 Jan 2021 09:19 PM PST I'm about 85 hours into the game. I'm currently on the Wincestre arc. I'm about level 360. The only pledge I have left after this is Hamtunscire. I already finished Asgard much earlier in the game. Should I do Jountunheim right after Wincestre? It's level 180, but I heard there is a very difficult boss fight. For context, I have killed all the order members except for the last 3 which are in the Wincestre arc, and all father. I have only killed 4 Zealots. I have completed 8/10 Animus Anomalies. I am planning on completing them before I finish the game. [link] [comments]
Why is Ubisoft so against an Assassin's Creed in asia/eastern Asia? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 02:12 PM PST Like honestly, imagine the world that Ubisoft could craft: snowy mountains, deep forests of pink, bamboo forests, plains and even large cities which could bring back certain aspects of the franchise:social stealth and parkour. I know that Ubisoft's chances have sort of been ruined by Ghost Of Tsushima for a game in Japan anyway but what about one in China? The map would be very diverse like Red Dead 2 and would add lore. If they made unsteriotypical (looking at you Valhalla) then it wouldn't be so silly like Ubisoft claims it would be. [link] [comments]
An AC India game has to happen Posted: 09 Jan 2021 04:30 AM PST The Indian subcontinent is the best setting for a unique game that doesn't stray too far from the basics of the franchise, with India having connections with the British empire, Mongols, Alexander the Great and many Muslim dynasties who had connections with the Middle East, so it could expand upon some lore, linking certain games together. The landscape and animals are unique and some ancient Indian martial arts and some amazing weapons like the Chakram could be involved [link] [comments]
The Isu inconsistency I’ve noticed throughout the series. ( MAJOR VALHALLA SPOILERS ) Posted: 09 Jan 2021 01:52 PM PST When we're first introduced to the Isu in AC2, we meet Minerva who's substantially taller and just overall larger than Ezio who was 6ft tall, putting him above average. This is continued in Brotherhood and Revelations where Juno and Jupiter tower over Ezio and Desmond. ( there's not a picture with Jupiter standing next to Desmond ) The first time the actual size of the Isu's is changed or maybe even retconned is AC3, where Juno who once made Desmond look like a child is not only near his height but now shorter. The same can be said for Minerva and Jupiter who are now the size of regular humans. ( once again couldn't find a good pic of Jupiter but there is a video Skip to 5:22 The actual size of the Isu is then brought into question yet again in Unity, when the first clear photo of the world during the time of the first civilization was shown, and Alvaro Grammatica notes how the guards ( likely Isu ) are, once again, noticeably taller. Later on in both syndicate and Origins, Evie and Bayek acquire Isu outfits that somehow fit them, but I don't take these as literal since there just outfits for the rule of cool. In Odyssey when we first see Aletheia's projection from the staff, she towers over Kassandra who we all know is quite the unit herself. And in the fate of Atlantis DLC ( EP 3) we witness both Isu and humans side by side where the Isu are, again, way larger in size. Also there's the weird glowy lines that were introduced in Odyssey, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they could be the Isu's version of tattoos. Lastly we have Valhalla which bares two inconsistencies. I can't find any pictures so I'll just put the entire clip. Not only are the servants, who we can only guess are humans, about the same size, but the Isu are wearing the same suits as the human slaves in AC2. Ironically the servants look more high ranking than the Isu they're dressing up. It can't be that hard to keep the Isu consistent. All you gotta do is make them tall, give them fancy clothes, and make them talk all high and mighty. Anyway this is just stuff I've noticed. Feel free to add. EDIT: I forgot to add in that Isu skulls are said to be twice the size of a human's, this is something we KNOW for a fact because of remains found in the modern day by Abstergo. For them to have large skulls, but regular bodies would not only be grotesque but not make any sense. [link] [comments]
Alexander Hamilton, Assassin or Templar? Posted: 09 Jan 2021 04:11 PM PST I made a post asking the same question about Talleyrand a few weeks ago, and now I'm presenting a similar one. Hamilton's pretty well-known in the public conscience due to the musical so I don't think I have to give much information, but I'm still curious. First of all, he was the leading figure in the Federalist Party, which seems to give off much more Templar energy than the opposing Republican party, as the Federalists stood for a more centralised power and were accused of being monarchists. George Washington, although nominally non-partisan, was more aligned with the Federalist policies, and in Assassin's Creed III he is more or less aligned with the Assassin cause. Hamilton was also the proponent of the whiskey tax, and therefore instigator of the whiskey rebellion. In his younger years, he was a massive advocate of the ideals of liberty, which strike me as Assassin ideals, but the Jacobins are Templars in Unity, so that may not mean that much. Despite the Federalists seeming more Templar-like, Hamilton's Democratic-Republican enemies have more obviously Templar signs. According to AC: Last Descendants, Boss Tweed was a Templar Grand Master, meaning Tammany Hall was Templar-run. In the election of 1800, Tammany Hall backed Hamilton's killer and the eventual vice president Aaron Burr. Hamilton was also a vocal opponent of the Clinton family, including the governors of New York George Clinton and his nephew DeWitt Clinton. DeWitt was historically the first Grand Master of the Knights Templar in America, which may or may not be related to the Templars of the franchise. I'm going off on a bit of a tangent, so what do you think? Was Alexander Hamilton an Assassin or Templar? [link] [comments]
The influence of the Isu on humanity Posted: 09 Jan 2021 11:38 AM PST So considering the fact that the Norse gods were Isu,does that mean that most of the gods in myth were Isu as well? And that all religions are basically made up and false? [link] [comments] |
