What assassins creed is to me..really touched me deeply..

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 11:35 AM PDT

Well for me ac is not just a video game..i pretty much grew up with this universe..I remember the day i first played this..(ahhhh memories🥺..)i was too little to play this.but I continued nonetheless..i played every single ac game till it's first came out.i was 12 years of age when i first played this..now i'm 21...still in love with this..for me when i play this, the experience is pretty much real.i live in every moment..it's like living inside it and feeling everything that happens as if it is me.. it's not a game but it was a lesson for me.it taught me many things in life..watching these characters grow..specially ezio and edward kenway..there stories show us that anger and hate will lead us nowhere but never ending suffring..they finally understands this and become more wise and act witout attaching to the result..after they became masters and so wise, they took action but without anger, without any concern for themselves but the good of the world..but it became different after syndicate..origins was fine..they really ruined it in odyssey..devs should not have gone beyond that in odyssey in order to making ac an rpg title..i have hopes for valhalla..so let's see what eivor brings🌹

Ps-i used to play this with my brother..well he is no more..he passed away recently(about a month now)..we loved this series...i remember..we were very hyped for ac3 back at 2012..but was really frustrated to see haythem instead or conor..my brother asked me..hey he looks so older than the one shown in the trailers..😂😂😂when are we getting the assassin outfit..😂we spent hours reaching sequence 5 and getting introduced to conor😂😂ahhh memories..reques cat in pace my brother..i'll see u again..🥺🌹

Feel free to disagree but Origins' ISU stuff is really strong and just makes Odyssey's stuff look even worse.

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 05:21 AM PDT

It's really mysterious and thought provoking and was setting up some really interesting stuff. It was even lore accurate in regards to the ISU's sixth sense.

    Then Odyssey... Yeah...

Ubisoft should’ve done a DLC involving Alexander the Great. Here’s why: [Odyssey Spoilers]

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 03:50 PM PDT

I loved the mythological setting and content of Atlantis' DLCs, but the other one involving the Persians could've been better. For us history geeks out there, I can't think of anything cooler for this setting than having a DLC in which the Eagle Bearer (who is effectively immortal with the Staff of Hermes) accompanies Alexander through his conquests of Asia - which happened roughly 100 years after the events of Odyssey. Not necessarily to join in the conquests, but perhaps even to supervise him, as Alexander (in the assassins creed universe) would've likely been in possession of a powerful piece of Eden, and the most powerful man in the world at the time.

Alexander the Great rose to greatness after the death of his father, Phillip of Macedonia, was killed - Alexander was only a teenager when he threw a fucking spear into the dirt when he landed in the Persian Empire with his army and declared; "All of Asia is now mine, by right of conquest!"

The dude lived an absolutely insane life. He was the King of Greece, King of Persia, and a fucking Pharaoh of Egypt - simultaneously. As a Spartan, it would make sense to me that the Misthios would be okay accompanying the young Alexander through a complete and total dismantling of the Persian Empire - the ultimate revenge for what happened to their grandfather Leonidas at Thermopylae. Obviously this will never happen, but exploring Makedonia in Odyssey made me think of how cool this would be, especially considering the description given to us in the game for the region of Makedonia:

    "Roots of an Empire."

Stabbing someone through the throat in odyssey doesn’t kill them

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 01:23 PM PDT

Before I'd start I like to say that this is just an opinion an odyssey does have strengths. Now that is over let me just say that the cultist system is infuriating. I went through 4 crappy side quests just to kill 1 guy. I then repeated this process for another cultist. Then it was time for me to kill the sage. And what part of pulling a spear through someone's throat does not kill you. It's ridiculous people complain about how you could stab someone ten times in syndicate and they would not be dead well I mean this is even worse. I am truly grateful for the powers of Insta kill from a hidden blade as of course you would die instantly if you got stabbed in the throat or the heart. Anyone else know the feeling?

An Assassin's Creed 1 Remake should reuse assets from AC: Unity through AC: Valhalla

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 06:02 PM PDT

Most people see the pattern of development at Ubisoft and especially in the AC series. There are groups of AC games that clearly use assets from previous games. These are the groups AFAIK:

    1. AC1-AC: Rev (4 games)
    2. ACIII - AC: Rog (3 games)
    3. AC: Unity - AC: Syn (2 games)
    4. ACO - ACV (3 games)

Imagine the graphics of Unity with the wilderness/AC1kingdom map using the newer iteration of games' assets. Origins, Odyssey and their DLCs have tons of biomes that are similar to the Holy Land from the Third Crusade. I feel like it would be a no brainer. They would save money by not developing a new engine and stuff.

    Please Ubisoft

I only say this because I doubt Ubisoft would ever invest a lot of money into a remake of anything.

    What I liked about Odyssey

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 08:38 AM PDT

I recently got Stadia and was able to play through Odyssey for the first time.

What I really liked about the game is how much impact your choice of gear made on the gameplay difficulty. The game made a good job at making you feel smart at figuring out your optimal build.

In the early game same-level enemies were damage sponges. But when I reached levels 50-60 I had no problem easily killing enemies who were 30-40 levels above me. All because of my gear choices with max crit chance/crit damage build.

Also I love how beautiful this game's visuals and music are. I know it's considered an old game by now but I thought I'd share my 2 cents.

AC Game Idea - Assassin's Creed New World: Discovery

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 11:30 PM PDT

Salvador Fernandes Zarco, a Portuguese sailor, sets sail in 1492. Zarco, bastard son of the Duke of Beja, is secretly a spy for and second cousin to King John II of Portugal. King John has directed Zarco to coax the King and Queen of Spain into funding a voyage in search for unimaginable wealth and new lands to conquer.

In truth, Salvador was on a secret mission to find a new home for the 800,000 Jews soon to be purged and to bring about the next step in fulfilling biblical prophecy for The Order of Christ aka The Knights Templar by locating another piece of the Apple of Eden said to be in the West. Zarcos' father, Duke of Beja, was Catholic, but his mother was a Jew, hence the bastardization of Zarco and his reasoning for being sympathetic to the Jews.

That plays well into the story of his hidden identity, which can work perfectly for AC: Discovery as he can be the New World's first double agent.

Fun Fact: Salvador Fernandes Zarco was, in real life, who we all know today as Christopher Columbus.

He wasn't from Italy and couldn't speak or write Italian, but he did know how to write Greek, Latin, and Hebrew as well as Portuguese. Upon his deathbed his two sons begged him to share his true identity, but he never did. His corpse was moved from place to place about 6-7 times so no one today truly knows where his corpse is for DNA sampling.

I personally think there's a lot of potential to reach back in time to connect some of the Ezio storyline to it. What do you think?

Attention: If this post is somehow against the rules for posting, I apologise. Just let me know and I'll remove it.

After replaying some of the old games, one innovation that doesn't get enough credit is manually saving and loading games.

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 02:42 PM PDT

In syndicate for example ive hit a point that made the game unbeatable without restarting. I literally can't beat a mission because I'm slightly under leveled, and there's no way to go back to before it.

Why do Arno and the Frey twins have only one hidden blade?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 05:58 AM PDT

Ezio has had two hidden blades since the 15th century. So why do the 19th century Frey twins and all the assassins for that matter only have one hidden blade. Also Arno only had one and was not that far behind the Frey twins in time. And if it is so easy for them to do double assassinations why did Altaiir not. I just feel the thought that the games had different engines is a good enough explanation. I get that Ubisoft had not thought about the double assassinations yet, but that's still a crap explanation. Also why does Connor whose game is before Unity in time has two hidden blades. Also Edward and Ezio. Hell even Altaiir had two hidden blades when he was an old man. If anyone could clarify for me that would be great.

When they say Build Our village, does it mean that or does it pretty much just like the train was in Syndicate? Like just upgrading them to get coin, or blacksmiths for better stuff ect or does it littelry let is design what we want? Like put building where we want(Not expeticing this but would be

I gave up on AC Syndicate

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 11:12 PM PDT

Assassin's creed games have a special place in my heart. I've played most games on my friends pc. After I finally got a pc I started revisiting some of my favorites. Epic store gave syndicate for free and I was really excited to play it. But when I installed the game, it didn't run. Whenever I try to launch the game it just shows me the icon then nothing happens. I've checked task manager and found that the process just closes itself. It's not a hardware or software issue. I've got a very potent pc and latest version of drivers. I searched the web and found similar instances of the game not running. I've reinstalled the game, reinstalled uplay, installed uplay and the game in the same drive and every other option I found/could think of. Now I'm completely done. I've wasted enough time.

Something I want to add, Uplay is the worst 😐

Getting to sync points is such a pain, especially on those trees! I've jumped off the whole damn tree near the top multiple times and died. There's separate controls for climbing trees?

Is there a way to put your hood up in origins' discovery mode?

Could the Kenway Saga games have a dedicated stealth button?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 08:54 PM PDT

It's something I think could work. Much like in Syndicate, the A/X button could be used to enter a stealth mode. The only issue is in Rogue, where that button is used to put on the mask to counteract smoke and poison. My solution to that would be to simple have the mask auto equip when smoke or poison is dispersed.

I also believe that it can be used as a means to pull up/down the hood/collar. In Syndicate, it was ridiculous that the hood would only be equipped in stealth mode. An easy solution to use is to hold the stealth button to deploy the hood. A tap of A/X enters stealth mode, while holding A/X pulls up/down the hood/collar.

This seems like a simple concept that can be easily executed. There would be no need to go into a menu to equip the hood like in Origins, and a crouching stealth animation already exists in the Kenway Saga games. Perhaps I am crazy and/or a fool. If you think I am, don't refrain from saying so. I would love read your thoughts on the matter. Thanks for reading.

[Spoilers] I just finished AC Brotherhood but I didn't really understand the ending

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 08:16 AM PDT

I didn't really understand the ending. What reason did the Apple of Eden have to make Demond kill Lucy? Maybe I will understand it when I play AC Revelations.

    Just finished Fate of Atlantis.

    Posted: 09 Oct 2020 03:03 PM PDT

I had a horrible time. Genuinely a horrible time. The base game? Fantastic, even if it's not quite an AC game. Legacy of The First Blade was agonizingly boring and contrived but mercifully short. Fate of Atlantis? Not only was it boring and contrived with recycled gimmicks, but it was soooo long.

I don't remember Elysium. I know it shared the same power mechanic as the base game but it was so forgettable, I genuinely don't remember my time there. It was pretty, yes, but it's 2020. Every game is pretty.

The underworld was weird. You had to get a unique armor to progress the game, but the armor was acquired by targets anyway. It just felt like a lot of busy work. It was more interesting than Elysium, but that's no accomplishment.

Atlantis was the only one that held my attention. Mostly because it felt like I was back in Greece. At the same time, I don't care for the modern day/Isu stories. I just want to play history. So all of this was completely lost on me. Then you add the recycled puzzles, like investigating an clearly laid out crime scene, move a box, shine a light and the whole thing just falls apart to me.

But the worst is Layla. I genuinely hate Layla. Mostly because I don't understand why she's here. She feels like a Mary Sue. A Mary Sue is a self insert character who is overly perfect and makes no sense. Layla has done nothing to warrant the reputation she has in the assassins. She talks like a super villain, she's petty and narcissistic and she gets her allies killed. Or she murders her allies outright. And yet everyone treats her like she's their best friend and like she's the greatest thing ever. I don't get it. I genuinely don't get it.

And then there's how the whole thing ends. Spoilers to follow.

Layla has murdered Victoria and fought Otso, cruelly paralyzing him. So she decides "well I'm going back in the animus, because this is all a game to me." She genuinely does not care. She's a horrible person.
