Ubisoft is getting rid of a lot of the shitty people including Serge Hascoet the Creative Head of all Ubisoft games

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 04:48 PM PDT

Serge Hascoet is behind all the shitty creative decisions at the company on top of the horrible shit that came out about him and others at Ubisoft. Good riddance to these horrid people.

Ubisoft needs to get rid of all of the shit birds there.

I ABSOLUTELY love how Edward's selfish desire for money is humanized.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 06:16 PM PDT

Before he becomes an assassin Edward is by his own admission a selfish person who only wants to better himself. And while the game makes it clear that it's still wrong it doesn't vilify his actions. It goes out of its way to humanize it actually. The second cutscene of the game establishes why he does it, all he wants is a good life he doesn't want to be a peasant in England. Can you blame him? Is he wrong for wanting to live a good life rather than working for 70 years 24/7, you end up kind of rooting for him even if you understand why its still wrong, he may hurt people along the way but we can all relate to his desire. But it doesnt also portray him as trapped with no way out, really his struggles aren't different than 99% of other people living in the world at the time. But its understandable that he wanted to be in tne 1%.

How likely do you think it will be that we'll get mjolnir as the 'Hammer of Eden'?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 01:12 PM PDT

I feel like it could work the same as the Sword of Eden in Unity - broken, so no special powers, but still highly effective.

I said it...Bayek Of SIWA is the best protagonist

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 11:14 AM PDT

I know the backlash is big on this one, but man bayek is just a great protagonist, the first reason is the actor, which is undeniably a great actor and shapes an amazing character, the way he's able to express rage, anger, love and many more feelings in such a flawless way really adds to Bayek and all his scenes. The writing for Bayek is also superb, nothing is inconsistent and even if the story has its bumps (overall good imo) - Bayek lifts it high, the acting, writing and even design of the character just add up and made me resonate with him more than any protagonist.

I just finished my replay of Brotherhood. The last modern day sequence in the Colosseum reminded me of what i love(d) about AC.

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 01:09 PM PDT

Playing through that sequence again was really emotional for me. I was immediately transported back to when i was hyped for every release. This sequence encapsulates what AC is all about.

There is the obvious connection between the times by re-visiting a location Ezio has been to before but it's so much more. The characters and their relationships feel so ... natural in a way. The banter between Shaun and Rebecca just works, and overall i am am never taken out of the expierence by weird writing. There is this sense that something important is about to happen, like it was all meant to happen in that exact time. Everything is there to support that moment, from the music that connects technology with classical instruments, over the Isu architecture that only activates because Desmond is there to do it, to the twist that happens at the end, it's all relevant.

This feeling of uncovering secrets that have been hidden under the peoples eyes for hundreds of years, all connected with that mysterious conspiray vibe and the fate of individuals intertwined with forces they don't really understand is why i love AC. This modern day sequence alone had me more invested than anything from Black Flag to Odyssey. Playing through it again made me realize how much i just wish for a coherent story, an overall vision and good characters.

I don't even know what i want to achieve with this post, i just wanted to share my experience. This is not do deny anyone any fun he has with any title.

I really had forgotten how much i loved this stuff. Just parkouring around the Colosseum while hearing the Desmond theme and accessing secret temples is extremely nostalgic for me, yes, but it's still grabbing me like few things have in the last years. Sorry for the rambling, i don't expect many people to understand this, but i had to get it out.

I feel like every one of these glorious assassins deserve their own place in future AC games. We have Amunet and Darius (and of course Altaïr) but we should see more. So who’s next?

[AC Unity] Bottom of the Barrel - Stealth Reaper [2020]

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 06:51 PM PDT

Can eivor please get a robe?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 09:32 PM PDT

All the trailers show him/her in gorgeous outfits but nothing else. We've now seen them in a hood but that still isn't a robe. So many robes have bean beautiful in the past so I'd hate it if he/she just wears a hood on top of normal vikings outfits. Even if they aren't exactly super assassin-y like bayeks id still love to see eivor where one eventually.

Loving Assassin's Creed Black Flag - Do the series continue like this?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 03:04 PM PDT

I've recently been playing through all the Assassin's creed and currently on Black Flag and I'm loving it so far. I'm trying to collect everything and the game is just huge and beautiful. Loving the ship battles the most. How is each Assassin's Creed after Black Flag (Rogue, Syndicate, Unity, etc...)? It seems that Black Flag is the longest Assassin's Creed game I've played thus far with the most collectibles and side events. I'm currently at 22 hours and think I can easily put in at least 20 more hours in this game before completing it.

Is Black Flag considered to be one of the longest in the series? I'm looking forward to playing the next Creed games but I'm a bit afraid of burning myself out (hasn't happened yet!). The collectibles in Black Flag can feel daunting at times but the game is fun enough to make me want to get them all and complete the entire game, or at least most of it. Hoping to be able to catch up to Valhalla before it releases later this year.

Whom would read this if it was a full story?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 07:00 PM PDT

Honest questions to fellow assassin's in this sub. Who would read a fanfic of an assassin alive during the rule of vlad the impaler which then i feel would just rip off the character of vali cel Tradat but I truly wouldn't want to have my work being called a rip off here's a link to the comment thread I'm referring to would there be any ways i could make this fan fiction fun and interesting, yet still keeping within the timeline of revelations or should I change my time period in my story? Any advice for making my story fun and interesting; yet letting me have ezio make small cameos. Any tips and advice/criticisms of the idea would be greatly appreciated.

Middle Ages Romania As A Setting

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 07:43 PM PDT

I was thinking it would be interesting to see a Romanian Assassin's Creed game set during the Middle Ages with Vlad the Impaler antagonist. Romania has a lot of interesting, yet dark medieval architecture to explore such as Dracula's castle.

It would certainly make for an intriguing Assassin's Creed game.

What’s an event/mission in any ac game that absolutely infuriated you (and did you overcome or chuck the controller out the window)?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 08:39 AM PDT

Just what the title says! For me it's anything that is timed and requires collection of items...looking at you capture-the-flag missions...

When I encountered the flag capture event in 2, I actually swore out loud at 5 am - I was so angry haha (but I got it eventually).

Feeling depressed and burned out after beating AC 3

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 08:30 PM PDT

Being as I've played Odyssey and Origins, I know AC 3 shouldn't have felt long, but it did. Even if it only took 2 days, it felt like an eternity between the start and the finish. I actually enjoyed AC 3 unlike many others. No, I'm not saying it deserves to be in a conversation with AC 2 or Black Flag, but having it in the basement with Unity just isn't right. I've played all of them except for Brotherhood, and I honestly enjoyed 3 more than Odyssey.

Valhalla: Do the leaks suggest another Odyssey?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 11:49 PM PDT

I got around to watching the leaks and granted this is an early build, but it felt just as whimsical as Odyssey. I liked Odyssey but it just wasn't as gritty and Grounded as precious games. Even Origins some how hat more weight and bite to its combat. I was wondering what everyone's take is on this?

was Callum Lynch and his mother really Aguilar De Nerha's last living descendants?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 09:14 AM PDT

was Callum Lynch and his mother really Aguilar De Nerha's last living descendants? in the AC Movie, they say this, but would that actually be true? I feel like it wouldn't be, since I don't think it's even possible for a person's bloodline to just eventually mostly die out, leaving only a couple members of their bloodline alive in the far future, it just seems too unrealistic to me.

Assassins in Latin America? What are the opinions on a game here?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 05:31 PM PDT

(Obviously excluding Black Flag here). From Brazil to Mexico or any other country, during ANY ERA would make such insane games. The native weaponry and mythos, plus all the revolutions and crazy characters that rose to fame during and after colonization. Like seriously guys, can you imagine Zapata being an assassin? Or Che Guevara being an assassin, with Castro being an undercover Templar? Even the development of Capoeira by runaway slaves joining up with the natives and having the Assassins learn from them or even be involved with defending those villages. How awesome would that be? The settings would be beautiful to boot. Only hope is they would make the lead assassin Latino, not a "white saviour" scenario.

Anyone interested in AC in Transilvanya or Walachia around 1450-1500?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 02:15 AM PDT

In Walachia and Transilvanya would be interesting the fights between Romanians (and Vampires) vs the Ottoman Empire. There would be many mountains and rivers and castles .

So, Is Eivor going to be a Templar?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 11:04 PM PDT

I have this strong hunch that in Valhalla, we are going to see the inception of the modern Templar Order. Or at least the idea of it.

Think about it, a viking would definitely be attracted to the ideology of the Templars. Vikings loved power and gold. They were materialistic unlike the Assassin's. They raided for wealth and they were also settlers, which means they cherished order.

It could be that Eivor came in contact with the Assassins first but turned against them like Shay. That might explain why he wears the hidden blade the way he does. We've already seen Templars using hidden blades, Eivor could be the very first one.

Also, if we take the leaked gameplay into consideration, Eivor is working with the Saxons. Working for the establishment is what Templars do!

Then there's this unlockable axe. Which definitely has the Templar aesthetic.

So what do you guys think?

Somewhere, in a parallel universe, Unity was released in a perfect state, and it was glorious

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 05:47 AM PDT

There were no prevalent bugs or graphical glitches. The enemy AI and interactions were polished to Syndicate-levels. The Coop worked perfectly and seamlessly without desynch or bugs on dedicated servers. It was regarded as a revolutionary leap for the genre and received high acclaim. The game got regular updates and expansions, pioneering (good) live services like For Honor's, with lots of new gear and colors to choose, the ability to customize the gender and facial appearance of your coop character, as well as new heists, multiplayer missions, and coop black box assassination contracts like the demos.

Dead kings was broader in scope and design, bringing us a bigger and more fleshed out Franciade, with a longer storyline. It featured vast sections of the French countryside, where you could use horses similar to AC1, 2, and 3. It had even more coop missions and gear, utilizing the mount mechanics and featuring infantry battles from the revolutionary war and early Napoleonic wars like the Bunker Hill memory in AC3, working together to assassinate captains and generals, and turn the tide of battle. The underground tunnels of Franciade were more properly integrated into the gameplay, and you could orchestrate missions with your friends, sneaking around like rats in the shadows before striking. The game lived a long and healthy life until it was finally seceded by Syndicate, which built upon and improved the mechanics Unity had introduced.

Having just watched the Valhalla leak, I can say with confidence that we live in the darkest timeline.
