    PSA: New Reddit Flairs Available!

    Hello everyone!

We're excited to announce that user flairs are now available on New Reddit as well as Old Reddit. If you're using Old Reddit, these are the same flairs that we've transferred over! These flairs will show up on both new and old Reddit, so you can choose whichever option appeals to you.

This guide is for New Reddit users:

How do you set your user flair on desktop?

    1. Select "Community Options" on the main sidebar.
    2. Select the pencil next to "User Flair Preview" to pull up the flairs.
    3. Select any of the flairs available! If you don't want to scroll through all the options, select one and start typing the name of the character. For example, :ezio:. You can also add text next to the images if you'd like to!
    4. You can add more than one image to your flair just by typing the flair tag - so :ezio::altair: if you'd like both.
    5. Select "Apply" and you're done!

    Select Community Options

    User Flair Preview

    Selecting a Flair

    Editing a Flair

How do you set your user flair on mobile?

    1. The flair menu is located in a different place (see below).
    2. Select "Change User Flair."
    3. Follow the same steps from above!

    Accessing Flair Menu on mobile

This is a great way to show off your favorite characters so we encourage you to set your own! If you have any problems or want to request another character, feel free to ask!

Note: We'll add female Eivor after we get clear pictures of her.

Assassin's Creed Emu War. Alright just hear me out

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 03:43 PM PDT

    AC EMU WAR

so basically the game would start with a huge battle between the australian army and the emu, right, and you are one of the soldiers. So you start killing Emu, bam, bam, bam, Emu dead all over the battlefield and then the protagonist would look horrified at what he did. As the AC title plays, he notices hooded Emu looking at him. Yeah, thats right, Assassin Emus.

The story would take us on a journey of redemption, eventually realizing the australian army destroyed the crops on purpose to blame the emu because the army is part of the templar forces. And the emu are allied with the assassins.

You'd also have to find memory seals of a sage that was actually born Emu instead of human. Narrative! Instead of an eagle you'd get Emus that you could call to attack your enemies. The goal would be to reveal the truth. How the emus were unfairly targeted as the destroyers of the crops when it was actually a templar plot to force the farmers to buy from Abstergo.

I dunno about you but this feels like a goty.

A Tribute To Every Assassin In The Entire Franchise

Black Flag has reminded me how terrible tailing missions were

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 08:06 PM PDT

    I hope they never return

Black Flag is great game still but the main missions have not aged very well

You're either tailing on foot or ship lmfao

The post assassination cut scenes in Origins are by FAR the best in the series.

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:54 AM PDT

The contrast between previous confession/post assassination scenes is stunning. The switch to black from the OG white makes them feel so much more gritty and dramatic. They're isn't one where Bayek or his victim doesn't give me goosebumps.

Finally picked up the Ezio trilogy, no regrets so far!

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 04:53 PM PDT

Having only played II and never much of Brotherhood and Revelations I finally got the Ezio trilogy (on sale for $10US too lol). The game looks great compared to when I played it 5+ years ago and the early story mission bring back so much nostalgia, I'm so excited to play through all 3 games in a row now that I'm older and can fully understand the story and still be surprised by it.

Oddly enough the game plays smoother than ACIII Remastered and I've always loved the upgrades in this game especially now with Ubisoft Club rewards too, will be rocking Altaïr's robes for most of the play through I'm hoping.

Anyone that is on the fence about playing this game whether as a replay or first time I highly recommend. The first 30-60 minutes are boring to get through but the open world is great and beautiful in this game even in Xbox One and it being on sale (along with all AC games being like 75% off right now) is a no brainer!

A game set in India would be dope.

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 08:03 AM PDT

And this time I want some real AC and not that chronicles crap. We could have the British Raj, the Mughal empire, but I think the Maratha empire is the best option since its founder Shivaji was an assassin. What are your thoughts?

    AC: Judea - historical correlate

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 12:24 AM PDT

While playing Origins, I noticed some foreshadowing of a future setting in Judea. Some have argued that this may center around the story of Jesus, but I believe that any version of Assassins Creed that takes place in Judea will most likely be based upon the story of the Sicarii

People who’ve actually studied the classical era, what are your opinions of Odyssey?

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:11 AM PDT

I got a degree in Classics myself and I thoroughly enjoy the game in spite of some inaccuracies and embellishments. I was curious to know what others in the field thought of it.

Curious why people didn't like Revelations

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:38 PM PDT

I see a lot of rankings of the games and a lot of lists put Revelations near the bottom, how come people didn't like Revelations? I thought it was a pretty good ending to the Ezio trilogy and had a good story, not to mention I like the hookblade

When did the assassins start working together globally

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 05:33 PM PDT

By this , I mean when did they stop having autonomous branches located in each country and instead started being organized globally?

Weird dog bark sound effect in origins

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 12:26 AM PDT

I don't know how to cue this but when I'm randomly going on about on my errands, a weird dog bark sound effect plays. It happens very rarely but i have spotted it multiple times. Weird thing the sound plays where a dog isn't present. Has anyone encountered this while playing? The sound isn't a "woof", more of a "aWFFF"

What do the Assassins/Templars make of the pandemic?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 12:14 AM PDT

So in a future game when the timeline is updated to include what the assassins and Templars were doing in 2020, what do you think they were up to? Did the war continue in the shadows or do the Templars and Assassins bunker down until this all blows over? Do the Templars take advantage of their pharmaceutical arms and strengthen their financial position? What are your thoughts?

Do you ever just play the main story and some of the side missions and never 100% a game?

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 09:38 PM PDT

I do this often sigh open world games but with AC I feel guilty about it, I got a 70% on Black Flag and now I feel like I can't graduate to the next game.

I wish we knew how some of our protagonists died

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 08:19 AM PDT

We know how Altair and Ezio died, Shay as well (if i am not mistaken) and Edward and Kassandra/Alexios. But afaik we know nothing about how the rest of them died (and it's a few missing) even if it's simply by old age i'd love to know. I mean, we spend so many hours with them and I feel like that0s kind of a pity, not to know anything else or almost beside the main story.

Chronicles aren’t as bad as people say they are

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 01:44 PM PDT

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I actually kind of enjoyed playing chronicles. I know that many people disliked chronicles but I honestly kind of had fun playing them. While it would have been great to get China, India, and Russia in main installments, I actually still found the 2.5D worlds to be pretty interesting and enjoyed the different art styles of each one. Also, I thought that the stories were somewhat intriguing, especially when you consider that they were made for a side scrolling game. Plus, all 3 chronicles games actually add a little bit to AC lore/canon, even more so than games like Odyssey.

In a Unity replay, I discovered the perpetrators of De La Serre’s death in the opening sequence.

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 03:27 AM PDT

So I was playing Unity again with hindsight knowledge of what happens, The murder of De La Serre. And in Arno's pursuit to find Élise, if you pay attention closely, you can hear and see Sivert organise the murder plot while walking inside one of the buildings. I thought it was neat inclusion.

Should they add Steam Achievements to the Older Games?

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 09:45 PM PDT

I recently got back into playing the older games on the pc and was a little disappointed to see that there weren't any steam achievements for the older games. I was wondering if any other people had any opinions on this and whether or not anyone else would also like ubisoft to add steam achievements.

AC Modern Day Story just hasn't been the same since Desmond (spoilers for AC3 and beyond)

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:23 AM PDT

I've been replaying Black Flag since last week, and I just got to the part in the modern day story where you can start hacking coworkers' terminals. The first thing you see is the postmortem report on Abstergo recovering Desmond's body. After that point, it feels like the whole story with Desmond and that group comes to an abrupt end. It's always bothered me because it feels totally unsatisfying.

Fast forward to Origins and Layla. At first it felt like they were on to something new which I was excited about, but it still feels like it's missing something. A rogue Abstergo employee can make for an interesting plotline, but Desmond's was way more engaging with his ties to the First Civ and Clay.

Not to mention there was SO LITTLE of Layla in Odyssey, and that it felt like the modern day events during and since Origins felt largely swept under the rug.

Maybe I'm forgetting about or missing some things, but that's my thoughts on it. Anyone else feel the same?

Trying to Platnium AC Unity, did I hear of a Legend rank glitch if you try Dead Kings DLC?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 12:32 AM PDT

I was watching a YouTube vid of someone getting Legend Rank in AC Unity but they said not to start the Dead Kings DLC or else you won't be able to get the top rank in that play through? Can anyone else comment on this? Just really wanna make sure I do things right to get the Plat trophy and Legend rank😬

Can you free roam in ac2 after finishing game?

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 03:27 PM PDT

So my favorite part in these games is free roaming. I haven't gotten to Venice yet, and have heard that it only full opens up when you're near the end.

I guess what I'm wondering is, is there a point of no return when you can no longer free roam, like when you finish the game?

If so, maybe when I'm close to the end I won't actually finish the game, so free roam remains an option. I guess I'd have the same question for ac1 and revelations too.

Hoping that you could keep free roaming and killing random guards once you finish these games.
