Unity is the best AC game out of the 6 I've played so far Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:00 AM PST I just finished AC Unity, the one everyone says is garbage and broken but I decided to pick it up anyway since it was stupid cheap on steam during a sale. It is so much better all the other ones I've played so far! (I've played AC 2, Black Flag, Unity, Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla). The score is better than them all, the parkour is so much more deep than all the others, the story is much better than the others in my opinion and it doesn't take 80 fking hours like the new games! I'd rank the ones I've played: 1. Unity 2. Origins 3. Black Flag 4. Odyssey 5. AC 2 6. Valhalla (Sorry I hate old and janky games I'm sure AC 2 was good for when it came out) [link] [comments]

Can We Take A Minute To Appreciate The Woods In Valhalla? Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:48 PM PST They are stunning! Even hills and landscapes give me so much feeling of being there. Odyssey did the environment well but it was a bit off in scale and a tad barren (although its still one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen). Walking through Denu forest feels magical here, just wow! [link] [comments]
One of my favorite pieces of dialogue ever, between Altair and Malik in AC1 Posted: 13 Jan 2021 06:52 PM PST This is in Jerusalem when Altair is tasked with killing Robert De Sable and he speaks with Malik to get permission to carry out his assassination. Altair: Malik, before I go, there's something I must say. Malik: Be out with it then. Altair: I've been a fool. Malik: Normally I'd make no argument but, what is this? What are you talking about? Altair: All this time, I never told you I was sorry. Too damn proud. You lost your arm because of me. Lost Kadar (Malik's brother). You had every right to be angry. Malik: I do not accept your apology. Altair: I understand. Malik: No, you don't. I do not accept your apology because you are not the same man who went with me into Solomon's Temple. And so you have nothing to apologize for. Altair: Malik... Malik: Perhaps if I had not been so envious of you, I would not have been so careless myself. I'm just as much to blame. Altair: Don't say such things. Malik: We are one. As we share the glory of our victories, so too should we share the pain of our defeat. In this way, we grow closer. We grow stronger. Altair: Thank you, brother. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 08:22 AM PST I had played the original assassins creed when it first came out and loved it but kinda fell out of the series. Loved origins, Odyssey so-so, but Black Flag has it all. The combat is so much better without the hack and slash demanding health bars Stealth is sooo important and REWARDED which is the reason I play these games The story and main character are actually interesting and doesn't block you when you don't have enough XP Only thing I'm missing is the bow and arrows which are cool Wish they still did this model instead..... Assassins Creed Unity has amazing coop and should be enjoyed by everyone. Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:45 PM PST AC Unity Coop is underrated and future titles should develop on it. Maybe people are getting sick of Valhalla, but for some reason the Unity servers actually have players again and I've been replaying the game for the third time. Since I first played in 2016, I never really got to experience the online coop until now. And I gotta say it's great. While 4 players is kind of a shit show, when you and one other player are truly in synch and know the mission, it is one of the most engaging multiplayer experiences I have ever played. For instance, just now, I was playing with a person and we were doing all these crazy synched assassinations and being stealthy and holy shit was it satisfying. [link] [comments]
Playing through all AC games due to Lockdown Boredom Posted: 13 Jan 2021 05:45 PM PST Due to being stuck at home because of lockdown, I decided to go through all AC games in order (release not chronological.) Been playing over the past few weeks, but even more so due to lockdown restrictions, just started Revelations today. Also , why did it take me so long to play Brotherhood again? Hands down my favourite out of all of them. Was curious to see if anyone else had the same idea and is currently already doing so. New to this subreddit as well btw :) [link] [comments]
I would pay good money to see a well made stealth multiplayer mode return. Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:03 AM PST I loved absolutely everything about it in brotherhood. The thrill, the hiding in plain sight, the fooling real players, the leveling up, the characters...it's a shame it was completely abandoned so many games ago. It doesn't even need to be it's own game, whoever is not interested in playing the multiplayer, can just leave it, I do not see a downside to including it. We're there not talks about bringing it back some years ago? [link] [comments]
AC Odyssey Mykonos segment is best in the game! Posted: 13 Jan 2021 12:05 PM PST The "Trouble in Paradise" questline with Podarkes and Kyra is just great! Profound story, real choices and gorgeous scenery. Got a feel of The Witcher : Blood and Wine to it! At last I have to say after a series of dull and repetitive quests. What is your best segment of the game? [link] [comments]
What is up with the movement system in Valhalla? Posted: 13 Jan 2021 08:52 PM PST Seems every time I post here I have a new issue with Valhalla. So I've stopped playing the main story for a bit and began clearing up the mysteries, artifacts and wealth icons. What is with chasing those tattoo designs? I was trying to chase the one near Tamworth Fortress and Eivor can't tree. AC3 had the tree running system down pat, it would self guide you up to the next branch or around the trunk. Valhalla just doesn't seem to have that anymore. I miss the parkour systems of Unity and AC3, both had their issues yes but boy were they more intuitive and fun. Has anyone else had an issue like this during Valhalla? [link] [comments]
Just bought AC Odyssey and Origins from Xbox series X sale! AC is soo good. Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:46 PM PST I haven't played Assasins Creed in years and forgot how good these games are. I'm about 17 hours into Origins and it feels like I didn't even do 1% of the game yet. There are just soo many things to do and explore. If you're about to get back into AC, do it! I highly recommend. I plan on getting Valhalla after I beat these two. [link] [comments]
[Opinion][Spoiler-free] Valhalla is the best game in the series' recent history Posted: 14 Jan 2021 12:54 AM PST I just f-ing love it. I didn't expect to love it, I've extensively played each game in the series starting with AC1 when I was literally in middle school (now in my masters', how time flies, eh?) and I've picked this one up out of reflex, it even sit in the wrapper in my living room for a few weeks. There's a lot of fan service being done in this game and as Ubisoft honestly often does, THEY DID LISTEN TO US, GUYS! It's amazing, without any spoilers, I'm amazed that they listened to community feedback and they brought back some of the elements we've been missing. I can't wait to finish this game, but more so than that, I can't wait to keep playing, playing and playing. What a masterpiece! [link] [comments]
How do you play? Gather collectibles or push through the story Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:19 PM PST The maps and collectibles can sometimes be overwhelming (I'm playing Valhalla now) so I'm curious how everyone else plays. Do you go section by section clearing everything out or play the story and if you come close to something knock it out then get the rest (if wanted) after playing through the story. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 11:58 PM PST Just a curious post. I imagine in 20 years from now the series will be really advanced and cover much of history itself. Schools won't be funding books and libraries, it'll be paying Ubisoft for new games and giving them out as homework 🤣 When I was a kid, my parents decided to emigrate to France for 5 years (ish). I missed home (UK) and so wanted to go back. Anyway, I missed way too much school and didn't learn much. Didn't get on with many people. I enjoyed the AC games because it felt like I was learning something. [link] [comments]
Skaldic Songs - English lyrics and zone unlocks Posted: 13 Jan 2021 01:51 PM PST I've really wanted to get the English versions and English lyrics for all the skaldic songs. I still can't find actual recordings of the English versions I can listen to outside of the game, but I did sit down and listen to all the songs I've unlocked so far about a half dozen times to figure out the lyrics. I decided to share them here, along with links to the Spotify versions of the music. They are listed by the zone you unlock them in. I'm not quite done with the game yet (just finished Cent and Sciropscire) so there may be a couple more songs to unlock. Also, I had trouble with a few individual lyrics so if you have corrections please comment. Potentially very minor spoilers for the different zones, as the songs often have something to do with the events of that zone's story arc. So I'm replaying all of the games before Valhalla, just for fun. What do you think of Liberation? Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:16 PM PST The story feels very disjointed, almost like they cut some pieces of it out. The beginning just jumps from Aveline as a child to her a grown woman with pretty much no backstory, and they really don't explain why you're doing anything. I also hate that a lot of the kills just go to scripted cutscnes, like de Ferrer, who just gets killed unceremoniously in a scripted cutscene and then just left behind. Overall, the game feels almost unfinished, like I'm playing something that was getting close to done but doesn't have that final coat of paint on just yet. Anyone else feel this way? [link] [comments]
Is the rest of valhalla this good [SPOILERS] Posted: 13 Jan 2021 06:38 AM PST I'm have put about 30 hours into AC valhalla and I've had a great time with the fighting mechanics and secrets. I have just beaten ivarr up north and I want to know if the story is as good as I think it's been so far. I'd like to hear from anyone who has beaten the game or got further than me. [link] [comments]
Getting desynchronized for killing civilians is imo hilariously dumb Posted: 13 Jan 2021 05:10 PM PST You play as Norse raiders that willingly invaded a foreign land, raid and pillage left and right, stealing anything they want, killing anyone standing in the way....bit somehow they don't kill civilians? LMAO [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 01:47 PM PST I've heard a lot a people talk about how Conner was always mad and how it was a bad game but while I play it I found that the problem isn't that he's mad but he has NO emotion. He's like anakin from star wars. It's not that he is mad but that he just isn't showing any emotion. [link] [comments]
Suggestions for someone new to AC. Posted: 14 Jan 2021 12:13 AM PST I have never played even a single game in the AC franchise and I just got a decent gaming laptop. My friends have told me that this was a superb game series and so I would like to try it out. Can y'all suggest the one I should start with? [link] [comments] |
