Fun Fact: Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine and parachute actually work in real life.

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 07:33 AM PDT

In 1505, Leonardo da Vinci's assistant Tommaso Masini flew 1km in the flying machine, or "ornithopter", but broke his leg when he landed.

Leonardo never made his parachute, but in 2008 Olivier Vietti-Teppa tested it out and it worked!

AC Valhalla art director confirms Asgard as one the many locations, and says Valhalla is the most diverse world they’ve ever created!

This honestly makes me even more hyped for Valhalla I can't wait to get my hands on this game in just a couple of weeks. Although I do think Asgard will part of the post launch content we get for the game.

Assassin's Creed 2's Tour of Venice is one my favorite moments from that spectacular game

Assassin's Creed 2's Tour of Venice is one my favorite moments from that spectacular game

Assassin's Creed 2 was big. It was nowhere near as big as the recent 2 games in the series, but it felt bigger imo. Part of the reason is because you had these 3 major, distinct cities all connected with outer city limit areas like the woods, marshlands, etc. It had a sense of journey when Ezio moved (or forced to move) from one city to another. Everything came together when Ezio arrives in Venice. The city with it's iconic waterways made a unique traversal path for the player to follow. As Ezio this was your first time in Venice, just like the player, so what do you do? Take a tour of the important landmarks to get the lay of the land; understand the power dynamics and take in the wonderful party culture the city has to offer while you plan your assassinations in the process. It was such a incredible moment with my senses tingling all the way. The atmosphere was so different that I can close my eyes and I can tell which city I was in and even narrowing it down to the district. When you combine all that with the masterclass OST from Jesper Kyd, it was just perfect.

Yggdrasil and the world serpent symbol at the pedestal at the end of brotherhood. The main body of the symbol is a tree and the 6/9 is the world serpent.

    Blind Assassin (not a spoiler)

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 02:17 PM PDT

Could there be a blind assassin who is able to use eagle vision and still perform their assassin duties without sight? If the answer is yes. Are there any assassins recorded in the lore with that ability?

What do you all think about them removing hidden blade combat?

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 02:36 PM PDT

It's not that it bothers me but it just seems weird that throughout unity all the way up to odyssey (and maybe Valhalla) that they removed the ability to fight with the hidden blades like in assassins creed 1-rogue. Can anybody tell me why? And what are your thoughts about it

Did Aya cheat on bayek during their separate missions? SPOILERS

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 11:32 PM PDT

This is an opinionated question but I feel like it is entirely possible. During a mission Phoxidas mentions after Aya and Bayek are at the top of the ship Aya is showing Bayek "the best places to make love" so I feel as though either Phoxidas is doing merchant things or Aya is doing said things with Phoxidas. What do y'all think?

PLEASE NO SPOILERS! 5 months ago I played AC2 so right away after finishing it I started ACB and after Sequence 1 I wanted to have a break from AC and all I remember is that Ezio after killing his family killers he goes back to his castle and he is attacked by some dudes and he ends up getting hurt, then he is saved by a lady (I think). Please no spoilers.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag: do emptied warehouses refill with supplies?

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 03:09 AM PDT

I raided a few warehouses in the northern part of the map, and every once in a while I check the map to see if they're refilled, but they are empty all the time. Are they emptied permanently? Or is there a specific thing I should do to make them full with materials?

When do the mythical creatures arrive?

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 08:51 PM PDT

Part way through AC Odyssey and level 17, killed a few cultists and just paid off that pirate lady for information about the mother.

Don't get me wrong it's fun but I'm seeing that there's three different story lines with the creatures scattered around?

Which stories are meant to be played first? I want to kill the cultists for the gear but also afraid as I've seen that that shouldn't be completed till after the "basic" family quest line. I just wanna kill medusa ffs 😂

What do you think of this? This is from the assassin's creed section of TV tropes

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 08:33 PM PDT

Graying Morality: The series zigzags this trope:

Assassin's Creed I was fairly grey in that quite a few of the targets were sympathetic, the Player Character Altaïr was highly flawed himself. Then there's the fact that the Final Boss was ultimately, Al Mualim, the leader of the Assassins who had used him as a pawn to wipe away the other Templars so he can control the Apple for himself.

Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was fairly clear in its Black-and-White Morality with Ezio and the Assassins, as well as their supporters, being good guys and the Templars being bad guys who are simply out for power. Assassin's Creed: Revelations however has a low-key conflict and more ambiguous villains, with Ezio doing dubious actions such as sparking a riot to complete a mission and later setting fire on Cappadoccia in an action that likely killed several people there.

Assassin's Creed III was the grayest in the series with the Assassin hero contemplating an alliance with the Templars that ultimately fails because Poor Communication Kills. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag likewise shows the conflict from the perspective of a complete outsider.

The Greatest History Never Told: The series as a whole avoids this, with a stated mission to exploring periods of history that other games and movies haven't explored or from an uncommon point of view, at least in Western media. There aren't a lot of movies or games about the Crusades with an Arab as the main hero, or The American Revolution from the perspective of a Native American who is a Player Character, with even Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood exploring Rome not as The Eternal City but the Wretched Hive it is under the Borgia, just before the Renaissance arrived there. Assassin's Creed: Revelations meanwhile was essentially a love song to Istanbul (Not Constantinople), taking the viewpoint of the Turks rather than the Byzantine losers in previous stories. And Assassin's Creed III: Liberation starring the first female protagonist of the series covers a completely neglected side of American history.

Modern Day Assassin's Creed Game Concept

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 03:28 AM PDT

My, my, I hope we meet and befriend Bjorn Ironside in Valhalla!

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 09:11 AM PDT

Bjorn would have still been alive at the time of Valhalla, correct? If so, then imagine going on a joint raid together, how legendary that would be!

Bjorn was an armoured bear, swift, strong, and deadly on the battlefield in Vikings!

How good is Assassin's Creed Origins

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 07:43 PM PDT

Hey everyone, i hope you are doing alright...this is my first post here and i wanted to ask how good Origins is as an Assassin's Creed game or as a game in general....see i have always been more of a traditional AC guy so i haven't bought any of the RPG driven AC games but browsing this subreddit people really said good things about Orgins as to how Bayek is a good protagonist, Egypt is beautiful and its not as grindy as Odyssey so i am really tempted to get back on it as AC has always been one my favourite franchises.....do let me know your thoughts on it and a thankyou to everyone who commented

    My scuffed opinion? About Valhalla

    Posted: 11 Oct 2020 06:38 PM PDT

So I keep hearing people complain how they've reused textures, and models blah blah blah. But do people not realize the vast majority of people enjoy scenery and story?

My example is Skyrim. The graphics were not if the time when it came out compared to other games. But it had an amazing story line.

Do people agree? Or an I just an idiot?
