Game Set During the Rise of the British East India Company

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 05:15 AM PDT

Hi all, I just read The Anarchy by William Dalrymple and thought it would be an interesting period for a game. The book details the Indian Empires that spread through the country at the time the British East India Company started to infiltrate it. The EIC slowly took control of the country by wiping out each empire. I know the British have been the Templars for a bunch of games. You could play as a seasoned Indian assassin who tries to stop the EIC rise? You could find a way to tie in the character from Syndicate, though it would need to be a few generations away as the height of their power was in the 1750's - 1810's.

ACV: Ubi, seriously please get rid of the single leg swipe assassination I'm seeing in Valhalla footage. Everything else is fine. But the lazy looking one swipe kill is going to ruin all stealth. Please, I am begging.

I really don't like how the Templars tend to get massacred by mainly one person in many games without really retaliating by also killing many high ranking assassins

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 11:51 AM PDT

I mean this MOSTLY was the case in AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, AC3, Unity, Syndicate and I guess Black Flag also in a way (even then the assassins killed in Havana was mainly Edward's fault and we don't know how much of a leading figure they were). Having one guy or in the case of Syndicate two assassins, being able to dismantle an entire Templar rite or cell mostly by themselves with minimal or no casualties among high ranking Assassins leaders (Mario being the big exception if I remember correctly and maybe Yusuf I guess). ?

I think it happened a little too often imo. I wish we could truly see MORE templar agents capable of not just fighting back but also hunting the main character as well more in the style of Haytham and Shay, an actual credible PHYSICAL THREAT to the assassin outside of random guards who will also take down figures on the other side and not just old politicians and merchants even though you need these guys too for the assassinations of real life individuals. Most of the time we only see actual fights with the final bosses.

I can't seem to retrieve the amulet in the cave, no matter what I do. I saw a guide saying one of the guards has it, but I already killed them all prior to starting the mission. Is it possible to still acquire it?

New to the community but I liked Bayek Of Siwa more than any other protagonist in the entire AC series.

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 10:18 AM PDT

Just got into the AC series (I know, don't hate).

Started playing from the beginning(skipped a few like AC Syndicate and Unity) and understandably/obviously was in awe of Ezio until I came across Bayek and Damn!! I just fell in love with him right away from the very first cut scene of the game. I think he is genuinely the deepest and the best character in the AC series. Also don't understand why Origins get so much hate? It was a great game with a great story to back it up.

    Anybody else?

    (Sorry for bad English)

What did Ezio's first assassination meant in Assassins Creed 2 ? and heres my take

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 02:54 PM PDT

I may be over analyzing the scene of Ezio killing Umberto, the man who betrayed his family. But i always wonder on why Ezio stabbed him 5 times, the most popular answer would be that he did it in pure rage and that he was out of control, but i like to think that he stabbed him 5 times, with each stab to avenge each family member.

    1. a stab for Giovanni
    2. a stab for Petruccio
    3. a stab for Fedricoo
    4. a stab for his mother
    5. and a stab for his sister.

each stab was for every member of the Auditore's who's lives were destroyed because of Umbertos betrayl.

i know that i may be overanalyzing this scene but i thought that it would be cool to add it to my essay. what do you guys think about my take ? should i put it in my AC2 essay ? thx

What AC Soundtrack is the most faithful to the culture and history it was inspired by?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 08:02 PM PDT

Since My Last post got some shit, let's discuss the music. It's all phenomenal, but what soundtrack is the most faithful to the culture and history it was inspired by? I personally think that AC3 was the least faithful but I'm not sure which one was the most faithful. Let's see some discussion!

How did Ezio and the Ottoman Assassins communicate? Small Spoilers

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 03:44 PM PDT

Ezio is from Italy, and his native tongue is obviously Italian. The Ottoman Assassins are from... well, the Ottoman Empire, and their native tongue is Turkish. So how did they communicate? Did they learn English and communicate like that? Or did Ezio learn Turkish during his journey to Masyaf? Or did the Ottoman Assassins learn Italian?

I'm thinking about writing a fan fiction, and I need some advice.

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 11:59 PM PDT

So I'm thinking of writing a short Lord of The Rings crossover. However, I'm running into some issues trying to figure out where the Brotherhood would fit, what kind of armor would they wear, etc.

I'm thinking they would almost like the Rangers (but FAR more secretive). As for what they would wear for armor, I'm seeing an extremely light chest plate, with maybe some greaves and vambraces and hardened leather. However, I'm not sure if this is the best way to go.

    What do you guys think?

Assassin’s creed syndicate, how do you get helix glitch and letter locations to show up on the map?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 05:54 PM PDT

I decided to go back and 100% Assassin's Creed Syndicate and I am getting stuck because the last few helix glitch and letters don't show up on the map. I could use an online map but since I only have a few of the glitches and only 2 letters remaining it would take forever to find the ones missing. I wanted to see what is the easiest, if there is a way, to have these missing item show on the map. Thanks.

Why is my armor disappearing in Brotherhood?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 03:51 PM PDT

I was playing the Brotherhood remaster and during Sequence 2 I saw that I had the option to buy the seusenhofer boots, so I went around renovating stuff until I earned enough money to buy them. I reloaded the game and not only did my boots disappear off of Ezio, but that armor isn't in any of the shops anymore. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this/what to do?

Assassin's Creed Brahman is a good mid-end to the whole series' story

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 10:49 AM PDT

Hi there. Currently, I'm playing through Assassin's Creed Chronicles and my chapter now is India. To get more acquainted with Arbaaz Mir and whole India story in this game, I read a graphical novel called Assassin's Creed Brahman. And you see, it's more than just a good book to read...

You see, as I wrote in the title, I see it as a mid-end to the whole series' story. What do I mean?

Well, we know that Assassin's Creed series is all about this Assassin and Templar war for the artifacts and the world order. AC Brahman is just another story about it. Arbaaz Mir is just another Assassin.

However, the modern day story gives us much more to think about. It is revolved around an Indian pair of Monima Das (a famous model) and Jot Soora (an "invisible" programmer) which gets involved into Assassin-Templar war because of one machine called Project Brahman. Technically, this is Animus or Helix. Somehow this pair discovers Arbaaz Mir and Koh-I-Noor - a Piece of Eden of course.

It doesn't really matters what happens before the ending events because the main moral is in the end of the story. Somehow Jot gets captured by... Assassins! But they don't want to save him. Instead, they think that he's the ascendant of Arbaaz Mir, but the truth is that it is his fiancee, Monima. Assassins captured him for their researches just like Abstergo captured Desmond!

So, after an action sequence, Jot and Monima meet somehow... For the last time. They get captured by Templars, but Assassins kill them... Well, it ends with a sad fact: Assassin saved Jot from drowning and left Monima to die. The ending pages where Jot is crying for his fiancee broke my heart.

Back to the question: what do I mean after the mid-end of the story? No, it's not about the grey moral or that "Assassins and Templars can be both bad and good". No, in this comics every faction is an asshole. And you see, this is the point. Assassins and Templars may have their wars, but the only ones who suffer from it are the ordinary people.

And this thought is... deep. Don't you think? Maybe, this is the moral of the whole series? Maybe this is something that Ubisoft tried to tell us for ages? Templars captured Desmond - a boy who simply wanted to live a simple life. Altair killed an old man just because it was in the wrong place in the wrong time - and no tenet could return him to life. Ezio left the whole underground city to burn just because of his war with the Templars. Assassins of the America destroyed several cities by their ignorance. Bayek, Aya and their son were just a family. Even you, yes, you - do you have fun while killing these guards? Are you sure that they know who Templars are? Of course they don't.

Of course, I realize that Ubisoft just wanted to make a fun game and I may be seeing too much of a meaning in all of this... But Brahman - yes: Brahman kinda freshed up my mind. This is what I call the mid-end: the thought, the idea, the moral which is always actual for the series, the one that you have to understand before, well, ending it for yourself. If I ever want to leave Assassin's Creed before it officially ends, I know now what all this series truly means.

    TL;DR: Transformers (2007) slogan.
