Would Anyone Here Prefer Assassin's Creed: Rome Over Assassin's Creed Vikings? (Opinion) (Future Of The Series)

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:40 PM PST

I absolutely enjoyed Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins. They were both 10/10's for me and I am not so picky when scoring video games I have played. I loved the ancient, civilized world of Greece and Egypt and I am hungry for a game about the Roman Empire. The Romans in Origins were so cool to fight and it was amazing to discover Roman structures across Cyrene. I want a game to be about the Roman Empire which is one of the most grandest civilizations in history. No game developer can accomplish this as much as Ubisoft, who already perfected the world of Ancient Greece and Egypt. I would enjoy a large map like Odyssey and Boat Sailing across Roman Italy. They could also have 2 genders for the character like Odyssey. Vikings is interesting and all but the Viking world is not as grand or civilized as Rome. I just hope the next game could be about Rome, which I wanted for a very long time.

(Edit: I have nothing against the idea of Assassins Creed Vikings, I am actually open to the idea but it would be great if Ubisoft could end or at least add another game to the ancient trilogy. Ancient Rome undoubtedly is one of the most important civilizations in history, so it would be interesting to have a game about it.)

Assassin's Creed and the clearing out of Forts, Zones, Districts, Boroughs.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:51 AM PST

I just finished Odyssey, and decided to go back to Synidcate as it's the only mainline game I haven't finished. At first I was a little overwhelmed by needing to clear out the blighters from each sector. However, after one sector, I became obsessed. I had to do every single activity. After each one there was a feeling of satisfaction, followed by the need to do more. I'm not even sure I was having 'fun'. I just needed to get that shit done. Has anyone felt similarly? I also remember the older games having a similar mechanic, producing a similar feeling for me. I'm not usually a completionist, there's just something about AC games that really butters my croissants in this area.

AC3 Remastered Fixed None of the Glitches

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:03 PM PST

I have been working through AC3 Remastered after getting it for free with the DLC pack for Odyssey. The game is fine, it definitely has some issues, but it is about the same as I remember when I played it at release.

I never got 100% sync in the game on xbox 360, but I thought I would get that milestone this go around. So, I got the achievements for winning minigames on the homestead, I finished all of the challenges so far except for the frontiersmen ones, I got every collectible, I finished all optional objectives, and I am now at 99% sync.

Well, perhaps some of you know where this tale is going because you may have experienced the same problem. The 100% sync achievement requires that you do EVERYTHING in the game, minus the Encyclopdia of the Common Man for some reason. This includes all of the random side missions that appear on the map, which include random assassinations, courier services that foretold the entire gameplay loop of Death Stranding, and delivery requests for various items.

I experienced an issue where the delivery NPC in the Troy's Woods area of the game simply will not appear. You thus cannot accept his quest in order to turn the items in (of which anyone who has spent any time hunting will have already), meaning that this one delivery fetch quest could require someone to restart a 30+ hour playthrough in order to get the last achievement due to a bug.

It isn't just this, however. Other bugs exist involving other delivery missions, the one task in the 2nd frontiersmen challenges requiring you to listen to all of Washington's conversations (why I haven't done that one either), and several more.

A quick google search for these issues brings up 15+ threads, posts, and official Ubisoft forum posts asking for help, a patch, or anything to resolve these essentially gamebreaking bugs for completionists (which I would argue is a sizable portion of AC players given how much of a collectathon many of them are). These posts are from 6-7 years ago for the original game at launch, and they span both xbox and playstation, as well as PC in some cases.

Now, we have a "remastered" edition that doesn't appear visually different in any noticable way that still contains these 7+ year old bugs that have caused people to lose 40+ hours of gameplay in some cases. Add this to the fact that some of the option mission objectives are rather challenging and sometimes take a bit of luck to complete, and you have the makings of one of the most infuriating gaming experiences I've had in a long time, and I'm saying that as someone who like Dark Souls games.

I get to decide what to do now, because I fully understand what it would mean to restart the game and go through what is almost literally everything again since I'm already at 99% complete. If by some miracle, anyone knows of a workaround to this, I'd gladly welcome it, heck I'd probably pay Ubisoft myself for the fix to avoid wasting my time again, but if the issue persisted across version, I doubt that a solution exists.

On the bright side, I never got to play the DLC on my 360, and it is included here, though at this rate I'm expecting my game to spontaneously combust when I try to boot it up. Thank you Ubisoft.

Story Description and Analysis of Assassin's Creed Bloodstone T2 (MAJOR SPOILERS)

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:40 AM PST

You can read my previous analysis here.

    Lake Geneva, November 12th, 2017.

Nathalie Chapman visits a cemetery and reflects on her previous life, blaming other Assassin cells for not seeing the future and potential of her project. She feels guilty that innocent people die, and swears that no more victims will be. After hearing that Hajime's Assassins are following her, she takes her Assassin pendant, holds it in her hands, looks and drops on a grave she was standing near, then leaves. That grave was Boris Pash's. "I will finish this great project... Father".

    An hour later, Madrid

Maxime and Elisa are running away from Adler's house, and got attacked by Hajime's Assassin. But Maxime deals with him, then they took Tomo's car and drive away. Maxime tells her the escape plan, but Elisa doesn't pay attention due to her shock from Tomo's actions and parents' death. Suddenly Elisa was being put into a trance triggered by Nathalie (result of previous Chapman's sessions in clinic) by message "ВОРОН ИДЁТ" (eng. Raven is coming) and she points a gun at Gorm, demanding him to go to Gimmerwald village.

Meanwhile, Tomo is entering Aleksei Gavrani's simulation.

Gulf Tonkin, North Vietnam, July 30th, 1964

Aleksei Gavrani is preparing to infiltrate Bloodstone unit hideout. The plan is that USS navy will distract the troops, while Gavrani is doing what he was ordered to do - infiltrate the Bloodstone unit hideout, find Pash and take back Apple of Eden 4. He successfully got there, but he finds out that the unit is already gone, and only his friend Dhogura was left behind. Aleksei doesn't want to fight, but Dhogura engages him. He's much bigger and stronger, but Gavrani managed to kill him. Before Dhogura died, he asked him to take care of Zenia.

    Next day, USS Maddox

Herbert Ogier, a commander of Maddox, and Captain John Herrick, are discussing Vietnam's troops. Captain insists that North Vietnam's army doesn't have enough firepower to follow them. Herbert objects that all hell will break loose when they find out that Americans, masked as South Vietnam soldiers, will attack their base. Captain says they have no choice tobut complete the Main Boss objective and do everything QJ/WIN asks. (For the record: the whole scene is a direct reference to that -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0AUseb7LwE).

Herbert starts questioning their role and why are they here. These Asians aren't communist barbarians as their generals try to implicate. Captain says that in 1945 they ordered to drop a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and those who followed the orders also knew little - only what has to be done to achieve peace. Weren't they right? Sometimes, to protect country, you shouldn't ask lots of questions.

Herrick approached Aleksei, who was reviewing the Vietnam map to find any clues for whereabouts of Bloodstone unit. QJ/WIN says he found them - in North Vietnam mainland. Herrick is shocked - if Americans will show up there, the consequences would be catastrophic. Gavrani says that if he doesn't find Pash, much worse than war will happen. Therefore, Maddox must let Aleksei to get on the mainland and wait for him, and warns that William Harvey (reminder: Assassin Mentor and CIA director) will arrive in 4 days for results. Herrick obeys, but remarks that even CIA orders have its limits.

What's interesting is that in 2005 some documents were declassified. According to them, Herrick was the first one who ordered to open fire on Vietnam troops, although before it stated otherwise.

Ninh Binh region, August 2, 1964

Aleksei Gavrani tracked down Pash and his team, who're on the small boats travelling up to Red River. He told Herrick to enter the Gulf Tonkin and wait for him.

Pash, Zenia and his allies are in argument that they're travelling on open waters, and maybe it's safer to do it by land. Pash objects that Zenia isn't in right condition, and even if troops would be avoided, Julia will be faster.

They got into a trap, and Doni is shooting to the water, calling out Julia. Gavrani shows up and takes aim at Pash, asking for Apple of Eden. Zenia askes him to stop, revealing that he's pregnant by showing her belly. Pash asked for a deal - he'll give up the Apple if Aleksei escorts them back to hideout because Julia Gorm is hunting them down.

Aleksei asked why that happened. Pash explained.

He started telling about Those Who Came Before, and the fact they never let people get the absolute freedom. With his Bluebird project, he hoped to change that, because with accessing the memories of ancestors they could find other Pieces of Eden. Julia Gorm, believing in his view, volunteered for experiment, but everything went wrong. Even though Pash managed to access Eddie Gorm's genetic memories with his machine, whose core is Apple of Eden 4, the uncontrollable power of AoE messed Julia's DNA with Eddie's. Moreover, it transferred Eddie's conscience into her, and that's why she went rogue - as we know, Eddie wanted to kill Pash. However, Gavrani didn't believe these "tales", and his objective is only to take back AoE 4.

Later at evening, Zenia explained to Aleksei that Boris is father of her child, but she never had any feelings to him (it indicates that Aleksei and Zenia were in affair before Gavrani left Bloodstone unit few years ago). She wanted a child so Pash could then transfer Zenia's conscience to the child. Gavrani called her mad, and moment after Pash knocked Gavrani down, explaining that they can't trust him. Half awake, Aleksei still saw the approach of Julia Gorm to the camp.

    Nathalie Chapman's hideout

Gavrani simulation was stopped, which infuriated Hajime, but one of his Assassins told that there are news on Maxime and Elisa. Tomo's car was spotted around Gimmerwald, in Swiss' Alps. Turns out Nathalie Chapman owns a field of radioantennas there, and she took over Elisa to bring them both to her. Which initially makes no sense, but then Hajime realised that Adler's hard drive is in their hands, and they're delivering it to Chapman.

Suddenly Tomo wakes up and, being under strong Bleeding Effect, attacks his friends, killing almost everyone. Hajime, telling that Brotherhood is more important, gets ready to fight him, but Tomo manages to blow up the entire hideout, seriously injuring his father. After that Bleeding Effect fades away, and Tomo realised what he had done. Hajime dies, but before he regrets what he had put Tomo through and asks to contact Saeko Mochizuki from Osaka cell so he doesn't come alone to Gimmerwald. Tomo replies he's not alone and Aleksei Gavrani will accompany him.

At the same time, Swiss Alps

Elisa, under hypnosis, arrives at Nathalie Chapman's location, where she greets them in a helicopter. Nathalie tells Maxime his entire story.

Adlers were Abstergo employees for a long time, and that hard drive contains all data and research they got during their work with Animus. During Great Purge Templars were using soldiers like Maxime (and Daniel Cross, as Nathalie said in Bloodstone T1), completely washing up their memory so they won't remember anything. She told him that the man who hunts Maxime is Tomo Sakagawa, and Maxime is responsible for killing his mother. In 2016 Callum Lynch destroyed Abstergo facility in Madrid, but Adlers managed to escape and hid Gorm in the car's trunk.

Maxime replies that it's a nice story, but smears that because he lost his memory, she could tell him stories about Santa Claus with equal success (btw, ho-ho-ho Merry upcoming Christmas and Happy New Year everybody).

Finally they arrived at Chapman facility. It has high-frequency radio transmitters designed to interact with the ionosphere, and with that she wants to offer men the greatest advance in its history by freeing access to genetic memory. Maxime says it's complete BS and she's like a James Bond crazy scientist. Well, close enough :D.

Nathalie takes Apple of Eden 4 in her hands, which she possessed for some time. By her explanation, she inherited it from her father Boris Pash. However, she was conceived 9 months before his departure from Vietnam. To find out the truth, she tells Maxime to enter the Animus. It's time to visit Julia Gorm's genetic memories.

Ninh Binh region, August 2, 1964

Julia Gorm charged and threw a knife at Zenia's neck, causing her to fall on the ground. Gavrani captured the rifle and fired multiple shots, but she managed to dodge all of them except one caughting her side. Gorm stopped just 2 meters in front of him and attempted to draw away the gun, but Gavrani managed to shot her to the hand. However, Julia rushed and stabbed him to the chest with hidden blade. Both felt to the ground, heavily bleeding. Boris berates wounded Gavrani, blaming him for all of this, and uses his radio to return to USS Maddox with Julia and wounded Zenia.

Inside a ship, Julia is laying on a bed, Pash is near her. William Harvey entered the room and gets surprised by how Pash loved Julia no matter what. Pash in reply asked why Harvey, his Mentor, wouldn't just ask for Apple, because he'd have given it to him without a question. After all, Bloodstone unit, JFK assassination and coup'd'etat against Ngô Đình Diệm was all Harvey's initiative. Boris finally accepted what he never wanted to believe - William Harvey, the director of CIA and Mentor of Boris Pash, is a double agent working for Templars. WHAT A TWIST. Turns out the whole attack on Gulf Tonkin few days ago was Templar's plan to extend the influence on Vietnam. Harvey already informed President Johnson, so the intervention will begin. All have started in WW2, and it continued further. Templars plan to spread their influence is in motion. Pash replies that all his researches was wasted: Kramer's experiments failed, Von Neumann's experiment in Philadelphia caused members of a ship to go crazy, his own research on Julia Gorm turned her into a monster. But Harvey says that his last research actually was a success: he managed to access Julia's genetic memories, and now she's a living proof that brain can exploit the experience of the memories of ancestors.

Harvey introduced Pash to Warren Vidic, a brilliant scientist and doctor, who overwatched the birth of Zenia's child. Her name will be Nathalie. However, Harvey put a condition to Boris: if he wants her to be alive, Pash must leave CIA, join Templar Order, give up Nathalie to Vidic (because he doesn't have children) and hand all his research to Vidic. At the same time, Warren declared he'll wrap up the experiments with Apple due to lack of control over it and instead he'll pursue genetic memory research. Harvey announces that Julia Gorm will become the new QJ/WIN agent instead of Gavrani.

    Present Day

Nathalie orders to stop the simulation because she've seen enough. They concluded that Julia receives a pure dementia, which is perfect for her exploitation. Then she started telling Julia's story: it is known that in the 1960s a new agent QJ/WIN took the lead in ZR/RIFLE operations, assassins of political leaders on behalf of the CIA, and now due to Maxime, we know the identity of that new agent.

Richard Bissell, whose own star was in ascendance as a result of his brilliant management of the 11-2 project. quickly put Harvey in charge of a special Project — Executive Action. As the intelligence committee described it, "'Executive Action' was a CIA euphemism, defined as a pro-ject for research into developing means for overthrowing foreign political leaders, including a 'capability to perform assassinations.'" Harvey's project was given a code-name, ZR/RIFLE, and a single "asset," a thug from the European underworld known as QJ/WIN. ZR/RIFLE is still one of the most top secret files; even now the majority of information on it is buried in CIA's archives. William Harvey's handwritten notes on project ZR/RIFLE is among the few documents about the project which were committed to paper. Ironically, it contains the admonitions "No projects on paper except for cover" and "never mention word assassination." It also contemplates the need for false documentation within CIA files to protect the operation from exposure: "Cover: planning should include provision for blaming Czechs or Sovs in case of blow" and "Should have phony 201 in RI to backstop this, documentation therein forged and backdated. Should look like a CE [CounterEspionage] file." Investigators of CIA records beware. Along with other CIA assassination activities, it was investigated by the Church Committee in the 1970s. That investigation was the first to document and publicized American efforts to eliminate Fidel Castro, Patrice Lumumba, and other foreign leaders.

Chapman also explain how she managed to get AoE 4: when she was handed to Warren Vidic, he used her as one of the first subjects for testing Animus. That's how she found out about her father and real history of his life, which gave her the goal to continue his work. Later she handed Animus blueprints to the American assassin whose name is William Miles, and then escaped from Vidic's laboratory, taking AoE 4 with her. Maxime cynically gets touched by her story, but Nathalie ignores his remarks and orders to activate the antennas.

Stanislas, her bodyguard, advises to cancel everything because they still don't know how to control Apple. Chapman replies that it's not about full resurrection of Eddie's memory how it was with Julia, but just a realisation for the humans, because more advanced mankind could stop the war between Assassins and Templars. She gives an order to turn AoE on 5% of its power and test it only around Gimmerwald. Maxime is handcuffed and escorted upstairs.

    MEANWHILE OUTSIDE OF A FACILITY

Tomo climbs up the building and spots Elisa in a room where she was escorted. He breaks in and disarms her, telling her his real name, what happened to his parents and why he hunts Maxime. She agrees to help him and they came up with a plan.

Elisa leaves the room and distracts Chapman's men escorting handcuffed Maxime Gorm, at the same time Tomo attacks from behind, killing them, and stabbing Maxime into the eye, repaying for lost eye. Eye for an eye, you know, but literally.

Stanislas reported that they got a virus which locked the entire system, and Tomo appears. He declares that he comes to negotiate - helicopter for him and Elisa and assurance they won't be shot, and he'll give up his phone with a program that deactivates the virus. Nathalie hesitates, but accepts. However, when Maxime and Elisa flew away, Tomo reveals that he gave her a phone with a program that injects a trojan which turns off the cooling system. The facility explodes, with Apple in it.

    THE END.

Review, opinion on the full Gorm/Tomo arc, and where does that lead

First of all, the first issue we face is a question left from Project Rainbow -- how Maxime could see Eddie's death? And here's how.

We know that with Animus if you use a direct descendant, you cannot access genetic memory of an ancestor after he conceives a child. Like how it was with Edward after he conceived Haytham, or Ezio's memories after conceiving children with Sofia etc. But Pash constructed the machine with AoE 4 at its core that allows to see memories of ancestor right up to his death. However, the price is high - ancestor's conscience completely takes over the conscience of a person who's in this machine. That's what happened with Julia: she got Eddie's skills, conscience, but due to Pash betraying Eddie's in 1943 she got that rage as well, which explains why she started hunting them down in Bloodstone T2. So how does this relate to Maxime? Adlers access the memory of Julia relieving Eddie's final moments before death in Pash's machine. It wasn't disclosed before because Dorison wanted to save this as a plot twist, just like ending of Die Glocke, where Maxime said "My name is Eddie Gorm", and we all thought Maxime got Eddie's conscience, but in reality it was just a Bleeding Effect.

Secondly, I wanna have a throwback to the Origins retransmissions. In Segment 6 there is a wormhole; wormhole is a hypothetic topological feature of space time, represented as a tunnel - wiki page. I made an analysis 2 years ago on these retransmissions, where I made a bold statement that Animus is a time machine but Animus which was created by Templars has its limitations. And Bloodstone T2 actually ties that in. Because Vidic's Animus limits what Pash created by removing AoE from the equation and limiting experience of genetic memories only up to conceiving a child.

Thirdly, I'm really happy to see that Gorm's family history is actually over. We know everything about their lives, there's nothing to show anymore. Only loose end that could get a sequel or appear somewhere is Tomo Sakagawa. And I have a theory - he could be that mysterious Modern Day character from AC Brotherhood of Venice table game.

Now for my review of the whole Gorm/Tomo arc.

Conspiracies/Bloodstone arc, even though I became a huge fan of it, still have some disadvantages.

    • Firstly, art. No disrespect to the artists of Project Rainbow and Bloodstone, but Die Glocke art was, dare I say, the best of all AC comics, including Subject 4 comics, and I bow to Jean Baptiste Hostache for doing it. Unfortunately, Bloodstone and especially Project Rainbow were not as good as Die Glocke for me. I'm not saying they were bad, and no disrespect to Piun and Bufi, but Die Glocke set up such a standard for me that PR and Bloodstone didn't match.
    • Some story moments left me in confusion. Yes, Guillaume Dorison explained them later, and I respect him for that, but for example, Kennedy assassination in Bloodstone T1 left us in thinking Dorison retconned the staff. Same addressed for Nicola Tesla in Die Glocke. I engaged him with these questions, and he said it was all planned (that's a response to those who claim about re-retcons etc., bc it's not Uprising when we get issues every month), but it left in worries anyway sometimes.
    • Soft retcon with AoE 4 in Abstergo possession, as stated in email from AC1. I personally prefer current version than what was stated 12 years ago in an email, which most likely wasn't being given a proper thought, but I know there are fans who think otherwise and I don't argue with them, so I will include that point.

    Now for advantages:

    • Setting. We finally got a WW2 and post-war story, including Vietnam and CIA projects, which I was waiting for a long time.
    • Precise attention to historical details. I was really stunned by this, the amount of historical figures presented in arc was probably more than non-historical. The fact that Dorison brought up f$#~ing Die Glocke (half-fantasy subject) and put it as an attempt from Kramer to create Animus prototype speaks volumes. Vietnam war details were also implemented amazingly in AC universe, with Harvey manipulations. I can continue this list for a long time.
    • Complete original self-contained story with some references to established lore. Starting with a latter: Philadelphia Project, remembering Callum Lynch actions, YOUNG WARREN VIDIC - it was a heaven for me to see this. But also I give credit to the actual story. It was absolutely fantastic, with a proper character development of every single character. It was like a chessboard (winking on chessboard from glyphs) where each one has its role and each character was being destroyed or killed by its enemy.
    • Atmosphere. It's no secret I fell in love with AC due to how previous games explored political area and tied it with Assassins and Templars, including complex conspiracies against each other. Unfortunately, since AC3 it was lacking that. Unity partially was successful, but only partially. Conspiracies and Bloodstone reminded me why I started getting involved in AC franchise, and I wish Ubisoft game writers will follow that example in a future.
    • Present Day. Even though the past storyline was amazing, I'm glad that Guillaume balanced it with a Present Day content, which was also solid. Tomo Sakagawa and Maxime Gorm were written good, with former trying to find the one who killed his mother, and Maxime, descendant of Assassins, who was brainwashed by Abstergo and didn't remember anything, therefore trying to escape those who hunt him. Nathalie Chapman, planning to continue her father's role and who's ready to sacrifice everything. The actual balance of amount of story between Past days and Present is great, around 60-40 in favour of a past, kept the whole picture amazing.

Lastly, this graphic novel arc proves one thing. Assassins lost their war way before Great Purge.

If you've read all of this, thank you, and don't hesitate to ask some clarifying questions. Feedback and discussions are much appreciated!

Since it's the end of the decade, which was your favorite AC game of the decade?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 12:39 AM PST

We'd be choosing all games between 2010 to 2019 (Brotherhood to Odyssey). My personal favorite was Origins for reasons I'll explain when asked.

My replay of the original Assassins Creed

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:49 AM PST

I played the first game right when it originally released. I was immediately snared by its creativeness and unique open world. It was groundbreaking to me and led me down a wonderful series that I can call my favorite.

I have not played through the original since then(if I replay an AC game it is usually brotherhood-unity) but I had a calling to it this last week.

And wow, was it a wonderful trip down nostalgia lane. I was worried at first it would feel outdated after playing the latest few games in the series, but this game has aged beautifully. Playing it again made me miss those old features that became a staple to the franchise; blending in, eavesdropping, roof running, pickpocketing, planning your assassination, etc... it was all coming back to me and felt so fresh.

And the challenge of navigation was a plus. It made me think about how I had to traverse the environment since you can't just climb anything. It made me remember why this is my favorite series.

If any game in the series needs a remake, it is the one that started it all. I can imagine it being perfected by modern controls of the later games and graphics engines of today. Include some fan favorite features such as economy management and outfit editing and it would be a blast.

I just wanted to say a few words to recognize one of the greatest footprints in gaming history. Thank you.

    Odyssey First Blade DLC?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 06:45 PM PST

Do you need the full Odyssey game in order to download and play the Legacy of the First Blade DLC? I downloaded and played the Freedom Cry DLC a year or so ago when PS Store had it as a free game of the month, and I didn't have the full Black Flag game. Just wondering if I can do the same with this.

HELP: Is Black Flag sometimes forcing you to do missions you can‘t possibly do yet?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 03:43 PM PST

    Hi everyone,

I just started playing Black Flag again after stopping for other games for like a year. I restarted by going to the „Fort" mission (chapter 4) where you have to destroy the fort in a seabattle.

Before going in, the game warned me that I might want to upgrade my ship before I do this mission. I thought O meant „Back", but it meant „continue". And now I'm stuck in the mission and I have literally never updated my ship. Everything kills me so quick.

Is there any way to start playing before this mission again?

So I just beat S12, and the woman who controls the animus(forgot her name sorry) told Desmond that she fixed a 'busted memory'. I dont remember that being a point in the story at all. Can someone help?

what do the control options mean? AC:2

what do the control options mean? AC:2

so this is my second post on this Reddit, and if you saw my first one I had talked about controls in AC:Unity. i am now playing AC:2 (i know it wasn't a good idea to play the new ones first but hear me out) and there are some things very common about every AC game with KB+m that i have played so far, they use SHIFT to free run, LMB to attack, and RMB to fire pistol, and E to interact. now imagine how im feeling when i get hit with having to use shift for "empty hand" RMB to "high profile" LMB to "armed hand" E to "head" and SPACE to "legs" what does this stuff mean? and what should i interpret them as so i actually know what to change?

For Syndicate, do you only need to do each fight club once to level up your associate?

Or do you need to complete it with both Evie and Jacob?

    Black Flag without playing III?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:29 AM PST

I'm currently making my way throught the series, now playing Brotherhood. I was thinking that I should pick up III and IV this Black Friday for a good price, but I found out that you can now only get the remastered version of III, and it was more expensive than I had hoped. Will I miss out on important things if I go straight to IV? Will I be lost in the story if I do?

Edit: Thanks for all the input! I'll take some time to think about it, and hope another sale will come up once I've made up my mind.
