AC has a problem if Ubi intends to adapt it to a TV series or make another movie Posted: 22 Oct 2019 09:46 PM PDT I write this post based on the rumors that Disney may be planning an AC movie reboot or TV series. The problem to the success of it is the animus. Wait, wait, it's not what you think! I think the animus concept is brilliant but does it work in a TV series? We all know how the animus works. Someone gets connected to it and explores the memories of their ancestors or the person whose DNA they found. Preferably the first option, the second is lame. But it only allows them to explore that specific person. The animus player only follows the life of said character. This creates a problem if Ubi intends to make a TV series, as they said they wanted, or another movie. It would be boring, in live-action form, to only follow the story of one character. A TV show or a movie based on AC set in historical times would have to be structured like a normal story with several characters otherwise it would be difficult to achieve success. This lore situation, which works brilliantly for the games, creates a big problem if they want to make an historical AC show. A solution to this problem may be possible though:
Any historical segment on the animus would be short, and would only follow the ancestor. The lore would not be broken by respecting the animus function. This is actually how I would do it. We already get so few modern day in the games, so why not a dedicated movie or TV series to it?
It would be like any other show, with main characters but several scenes in which they are not present. However, to hint at the fact that the memories of the assassin are being viewed in the future we would get glitches in the screen only in scenes featuring the ancestor being reviewed in the future. Signs that it's the animus glitching. For lore fans this would be evident, for others it would be a great plot twist when revealed that all that time the main character was being watched from the future. [link] [comments]

They should remake Assassin's Creed 1 Posted: 22 Oct 2019 09:57 AM PDT Don't get me wrong, I feel like the game was overall amazing for 2007... but I can't be the only one that wants to see it remade with better graphics, voice actor, story, etc. I feel like Altaïr was very underrated because most people only got into AC with Ezio and even later. What would you want to see in a remade version of the game? Or would you want it to be the same thing just with added graphics and small changes in content. I feel like more content could be added surrounding the story, and the story itself could be touched on more. [link] [comments]

Legacy of The First Blade should have been its own game Posted: 23 Oct 2019 02:58 AM PDT After playing Legacy of the First Blade for AC Odyssey, I have to admit it's a shame Darius' story didn't get its own game. He is such an amazing and interesting character who I think many AC fans would have loved to have followed his journey from the beginning. I had wished Ubi would have done with Odyssey and Legacy of the First Blade what they did with Black Flag and Rogue, at least. Giving us 2 games but using AC Unity's parkour and stealth fluidity/animations and AC III's combat mechanic. Only thing with Legacy of the First Blade being the prequel to Odyssey like Black Flag was to Rogue. I think Legacy of The First Blade would have made a much better AC game and a much more significant addition to the lore than Odyssey. They could have even released it under the title "Assassin's Creed Legacy". A fitting name when you consider Darius' importance to the lore etc... I don't wanna delve too much into details as to not spoil anything for anyone who hasn't played the DLC yet but I wonder if anyone who played the DLC shares these sentiments with me. Or is it just me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Oct 2019 04:36 AM PDT Lorne Balfe killed it with that game. Which ac game do you guys think had the best theme? Feel free to rank em if you can. [link] [comments]
Is Tyranny of King Washington available on Switch Posted: 22 Oct 2019 08:43 PM PDT I have looked everywhere for it but I can not find it. Do I have to create a ubisoft club account to play it? [link] [comments]
The Viking game should do something with the similarity of Aesir/Isu and Idunn/Eden Posted: 23 Oct 2019 04:43 AM PDT Or maybe that would be too much for the current lore team considering how Odyssey portrayed Greek mythology as 99% accurate But it does seem too perfect to have the Aesir gods sounding so similar to Isu, and Idunn, goddess of apples, being so close to Apples of Eden [link] [comments]

What is one side quest mission you thought was a complete waste of time? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 03:56 PM PDT My personal choice would have to be the storm fortress from Rogue. I could never beat her and I don't think the reward is worth the loss of sanity. [link] [comments]
Assassins Creed 2 PS3 DLC exclusives? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 08:11 AM PDT Decided to try out AC series in order, noticed that AC 2 has some DLC that are only for ps3. Are they worth it, are they in PC version as unlockables or is it one of those console exclusive things that I will have to live with? [link] [comments]
An Isu fanfic: the lost island Posted: 22 Oct 2019 11:49 AM PDT Imagine that in all depictions of the world there is a landmass that no humans can see. It right there, in the photo taken from the moon, on the satelite scans, on every mapamundi. It is even on the mathematical calculations of the Earth´s circumference, but no one can notice this unaccounted space. Because is unintelligible. We, as humans, might stare point blank to the map or the land itself and see nothing. On the prelude of the Isu-human war, some Isu took in consideration the cognitive deficiencies of the human mind and built a land where we would never notice them. Between hour lines, at Antartica or in an Avalon-like hidden island, something like that. Then the Great Catastrophe came, and like all the world it caused mayor damage. In time the residents joined other of their kind or lingered in this empty paradise. And today there is a cache of Isu tech in a place no human can find. Unless... IDK, we had a Heir of Memories with a bunch of Hidden Insights and a Staff with a Isu consciousness in it that could lead to this lost ruin. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Oct 2019 11:20 AM PDT Is anyone still playing this on ps4? I just need 3 trophies for the platin (LV 55, Gamelab and all rounder). With this I only need to platin AC Chronicles and eventually AC 1 remastered if it's ever done. PSN: Drasenx [link] [comments]
Is there any difference between the Freedom Cry game and Black Flag FC DLC? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 09:11 AM PDT I noticed in the PS store that the Freedom Cry DLC is $5 less than the full game. Is there any difference in quality or content between the two? Follow up question: what does the Black flag Season Pass come with? [link] [comments]
Is there a way to use the apple outside of it's memories in Brotherhood? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 12:47 PM PDT As the title states, i was wondering if there was some kind of cheat to allow me to access the apple without playing one of its 4 memories? [link] [comments]

"Spartan Education" in the Discovery Tour of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Posted: 22 Oct 2019 10:49 AM PDT The Discovery Tour sells itself with its historical accuracy and as a teaching tool. However, I'm a bit worried to see "Spartan Education" among the list of tours. This topic is usually one of two extreme opinions: Spartans are either depicted as inhumane war machines that killed unfit babies and their slave citizenry in order to raise perfect soldiers, or they are depicted as aesthetically pleasing ideal citizens that value freedom, equality and modesty above all else. Do you think Ubisoft managed to reach their goal of historical accuracy in that particular tour? Or did they depict one side over the other? (Edit: I'm a teacher trainee in Germany and want to build a lesson around this particular tour in order to further the historical cultural competency of my students in year 7. We already dealt with both opinions last week and the students are supposed to evalue the above question by playing the tour in class this coming Friday. I wonder what you all think.) What's the deal with assassins creed and pirate ships? Posted: 22 Oct 2019 05:31 PM PDT Now when they first released AC3 i thought the ships were cool and a different take on the game - then black flag came out and was like maybe it's out of their system and now there hasn't been a AC game without some type of pirate ship mission. Who at ubsoft has a boner for pirate ships? Honestly just make pirate games and make a AC game where you run rooftops and stealthy get in places to get your target. Anyone else have opinion on the matter? And if you're for pirate ships, "i like it or enjoy it" isn't an answer. Thanks in advance for responding [link] [comments] |
