Opinion: Stealth is a broken mess in AC: Valhalla.

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 12:12 PM PDT

I cannot believe that it is WORSE than it was in Odyssey. Even with a fully dedicated stealth build, you will still be easily spotted a mile away from the enemies. If you come up beside them, you are spotted. Hell, I was Literally spotted from behind a wall last night.

And even if things go right for you, there is a good chance the Chain Assassination skill will bug out and not actually work. And don't even get me started on Social Stealth! I was so excited for this feature. But it is Garbage! A complete waste of a system. You will have better luck just avoiding guards altogether.

I cannot believe AC games have fallen this far. Stealth games are truly dead at this point. Metal gear is gone forever. Ubisoft wants to pretend that Splintercell isn't a thing. And now AC games are action light-rpgs that don't even have a canon gender or a set personality. And we don't even get stealth gadgets! What a mess.

Now don't get me wrong, the game is fun when just running around and collecting stuff. Raiding is a nice addition. I'm enjoying the story thus far (about 40 hours into the game). I was just expecting a RETURN to true stealth gameplay in this game, not for it to be WORSE than the previous game.

How has assassin's creed affected you?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 02:40 PM PDT

For me it all started in 2007 as a 13 year old, it was the first game I anticipated that had yet to release. I would watch the trailers in 144p and read every article i can find, I remember thinking this game will change everything. Before 2007 I only played gta vice city, san andreas and a few movie/TV licensed games.

[SPOILER: VALHALLA HORDAFYLKE ARC] Just. What. The. Fuck. Happened

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 03:39 PM PDT

Ok apologies ahead cos i only reached this point after so many months. My PC is unable to run Valhalla so i only got to play it recently when i bought a secondhand PS4.

Anyways as the title says, i just completed the Hordafylke arc and from what i thought was a great ending that really touched me, it quickly turned into a BIG WTF moment for myself. I am planning to do the final arc (Hamtunscire) right after this, but at this point, can I start searching/reading more about Layla and Basim online? You know, the usual curiosity to make more sense

[SPOILERS] The Origins of the Origins Logo

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 04:37 PM PDT

So, I was finishing Assassin's Creed 1 earlier and during the section with Desmond using Eagle Vision after killing Al Mualim, I found a symbol in the office that looks identical to the AC Origins logo.

I know I'm probably late to the party but I thought I'd let you guys know.

What do you think about assassins creed 3 on the character Conor?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 09:20 PM PDT

I thought about this everyone say Conor is a bad character. I want to hear everyone though is he the bad character or not. Make sure you put a reason of why.

Cairn Stones are just absolutely awful

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 03:19 PM PDT

Cairn stones make me wanna abandon the platinum grind

There really is no need for it to be that hard.

Some are alright you build a basic tower but others you need to turn stones vertically and pray to Odin they don't collapse, if it collapses the whole structure collapses making you do it all over again.

I wanted to get platinum for this game i don't mind doing the same boring puzzles but these stones are blocking the way to my trophy.

Will AC: Infinity go the Initiate or Numbskull route or do you think we will "relive" memories as the character established at the end of ACV?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:13 AM PDT

I feel as though we are going to get a character that is fully customizable. It will still be a narrative driven game but similar to Black Flag, Unity, Rogue, and Syndicate, I think we will end up as ourselves or a faceless character like we saw in BF/Rogue. To be honest, I do not mind if that is the case because I did not like the Loki/Basim ending. Just like with the vials in Black Flag, it is a really intriguing thing for the next storyteller to touch on but I do not think it is going anywhere in the games. It makes way more sense to just soft reboot the lore like Rise of the Planet of the Apes or something similar.

    Thoughts?

Is there and in game explanation of how the brotherhood spread to the rest of the world from Egypt?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 11:16 PM PDT

I've only played a couple of games and i refunded origins after a few hours of gameplay because I didn't like it but it got me thinking how the brotherhood spread across the world? Like in black flag the native mayans are assassins and the British and Spanish are templars but then in syndicate there are British assassins? Was there actually a story of how the brotherhood left Egypt?

    Edit: spelling

[Spoiler] Romance - marriage after breaking up

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 10:14 PM PDT

I'm currently dating Randvi. I just did the Petra quest so now I want to date Petra lmao.

I read that you can marry Randvi later on, but I need to break up with her before dating Petra. I've read both that you can and cannot get back with Randvi after breaking up with her so am confused.

I want Eivor to get married, and I don't think you can marry Petra (correct me if I'm wrong).

So is it possible to break up with Randvi now, date Petra, then during the quest where you can marry Randvi, marry Randvi then?

My character concept art for an Assassin's Creed game set during the Sangam period in Tamizhakam (Modern day Tamil Nadu, India)

    Ko'Sengan Pandiyan கோ செà®™்கன்‌ பாண்டியன் Concept art

I have been developing characters and environment arts for an AC game during the Sangam period. More to come.
Ko'Sengan is the prince of the Keezhadi Kingdom ruled by the Pandiyas. A true leader of the people who engages with all sections of his citizens to solve their problems. Sardonic, mischievous yet a deadly master of swords and daggers, he is a prince like no other.

AC Syndicate All Is Fair in Politics (Sequence 7) Trophy Missing

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 03:16 PM PDT

Going through my first playthrough. Completed the main story and it looks like I never got the trophy for sequence 7. Anyone else run into this? Ideas or am I most likely going to have to play the game again?

Man of Mistery bug Tarben doesn't move I hate this game's bugs

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 04:41 PM PDT

Hey I'm at the point where you escort Tarben back to Ravensthorpe and he gets on his horse and stays still I tried hitting his horse, shooting arrows, special abilities and nothing works I untracked the quest but it still shows Tarben is there.

Missing treasure map in black flag

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:55 AM PDT

I'm trying to 100% the game and I only need one thing left, a buried treasure that I can't seem to find the map for. I've gotten 100% on all story missions, I've collected every secret in every location, opened every chest, looted every manuscript and collected everything else in the game but this chest. I can't find the map for it so idk what to do. Anyone know anything about this?

I also posted this in r/assassinscreed4 but it's not an overly active sub so I'm trying here as well

Odyssey is detail packed, but it’s simply not an “assassin’s creed” game imo

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 02:48 PM PDT

I'm having a great time playing Odyssey, don't get me wrong. I like Kassandra a lot, I like the side characters, I like the weapons (especially the sword of ledonias). HOWEVER, after playing almost all the "original method" ac creed games with Templar/assassin dispute baked into the actual game (Arno, Ezio, Edward, etc), this really isn't that. I don't think it should have been released as an assassins creed game.

I do think the game is really enjoyable and maybe should have been a different "branch" game, I'm just not sure it fits into this format of ac we're used to for the original games. This is NOT to say I don't think the game should not have been released or reaches a similar market, because I do think it's a great game...it's just not an assassins creed game. Sure, you're a mercenary and sure you can be stealthy. It lacks ac lore and most importantly, the hidden blade. I am growing to like warrior style combat, but I'd prefer to be sneaky and stealthy in an assassins creed game.

Anyway, my two cents are worthless but I wanted to see if others shared a mindset about where this game fits. Plus, it would be smart for Ubi to make a branch off of the AC games that doesn't have to fit in the very distinguished storyline/lore if you simply wanted an assassin game.

Trying to Unleash the Potential of Discovery Tour!

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 08:10 AM PDT

What would be the perfect assassins creed game if u were to pick elements from all the different ac games so far?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 09:47 AM PDT

1.Id say take unity's parkour and just refine it a bit (prevent arno from jumping insanely far).

    2. Black flag's ambience/story Odyssey's world ( i love ancient greek shit)

    3. And for the combat id probably say ac 4 or 3 Yes its way less engaging/difficult than the newer combat systems but its feels way more satisfying so who gives a fuck anyways right?

Anyways curious what other people think

Assassin Creed 3 sequence 5 doubts in narrative

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 11:37 AM PDT

so I had just completed sequence 5 in AC3. How exactly does Conner know who Haytham is. He identified him immediately as he saw his portrait. Also, Achillies also acted normally and said you have to kill everyone, especially your father. Is it some kind of cut content where Conner finds out and tells Achilles?
