Replaying Brotherhood. Brexit makes Shauns dialogue way funnier

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 08:21 PM PDT

"England is not in Europe actually, Rebecca We-we tolerate Europe, you know? Like, like a person tolerates herpes."

My favourite Shaun quote is still "Exactly. History is the study of change. Change is life. When things become static, it means they're dead."

Funniest is "Anybody up for some reconciliatory yoga? Anyone?"

Why is Ezio the most loved assassin when his character completely disrespects the Creed?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 08:55 PM PDT

Ezio has violated every one of the tenants of the Creed and unlike Altaïr, he has never faced consequences from his order. Not from Mario, not from Machiavelli.

    1. Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent:

Ezio started a riot which called for a certain number of innocent casualties canonically.

Ezio blew up the great chain and caused a large harbor fire that damaged many civilian ships.

Ezio blew up a large stash of gunpowder in Cappadocia that causes thousands of innocent civilians to suffocate (this one is ironic, considering that very smoke is what led to his lung problems later on).

    1. Always hide in plain sight:

His robes in Brotherhood. "VITTORIA AGLI ASSASSINI!"

Many civilians comment on him being an assassin in ambient dialogue.

The fight with Rodrigo. He did so in front of dozens of priests.

    1. Never compromise the Brotherhood:

He fails to kill Rodrigo Borgia.

He handed the Maysaf keys to Ahmet in exchange for Sofia. This could have resulted in Altaïrs PoE being in Templar hands.

He does not care for the Creed. I've never even heard him speak of the tenants, only "Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

I'm so confused about the Kassandra's family

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 11:03 AM PDT

    1. She leaves her family in Sparta to live with some dude and his father after the whole game being about her uniting her family. Then again I guess those were my choices, maybe it's more understandable with different choices.

    2. When did myriene and Nikolaus get together? Kassandra seemed at least 6-7 when alexios was born, so was she still mingling with Pythagoras before getting pregnant with alexios? If so, then why doesn't Kassandra remember him, if not, then did she just run off to get some sexy time with Pythagoras?

    3. So when Pythagoras leaves the staff, he just dies, dramatically. So when he was getting it on with myriene, was he holding the staff? Don't hate, I'm bored and mind goes to weird places

What is your favourite assassin's creed trailer?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 06:18 AM PDT

I absolutely love the Revelations trailer, the imagery and fighting and ezito seeing Altair at the end is so powerful. (quick note: how is the cgi so good? this released in like 2010)

I also really like the Assassin's creed 2 gameplay trailer, that music is so goddamn good

Inconveniences of the hidden blade accidentally going off in the worst situations

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 11:09 PM PDT

When relieving yourself you might get neutered if it goes off accidentally

When taking off your hood after you get away from guards after a high profile assassination if it goes off accidentally it can slice your throat open

What’s something about every ac game that’s stopping you from replaying it?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 05:13 PM PDT

For me personally(btw if I don't list a game that means I have no reason to not replay it or I haven't finished it):

    Ac2: Bonfire of the vanities

    Ac3: The long tutorial

Ac4: 75% of the missions are tailing missions and they even force you to tail someone in the jackdaw

Ac unity: The combat is super hard without certain skills unlocked

Ac Syndicate: The story was boring and it peaked at the aSsAsSiN cHrIsTmAs joke.

Odyssey: I've replayed it once but I can't do it again. It's hard having to synchronize all those view points again and the world is just too big.

Valhalla needs to let you see what a piece of equipment looks like on your character before you buy it.

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 02:02 AM PDT

Odyssey is one of the best games I've ever played, but one thing that annoys me is that you can't see what a weapon or piece of armor looks like on your character before you buy it. More often than not, the thumbnail looks nothing like what you buy. Instead, I have to save the game, buy the item, go to the inventory and finally equip it before I know if it looks good or not. To make matters worse, when I reload the save (I usually buy all the equipment that looks interesting, and reload the save so that I won't have to sell back what I don't want at a much lower price) some merchant's inventory has reset so that the item I wanted to buy is no longer for sale.

I hope Valhalla fixes this by showing you what the equipment looks like on a 3D model of Eivor in the trading window.

Continuing a previous topic // Just filmed (now editing) our AC 1 historical review. What comes next?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 10:41 PM PDT

In previous posts <1> I've mentioned a project orienting around the historicity of the AC franchise. We released our first video <2> on origins and are now editing our AC1 video.

The Big Question: What next?? We're thinking maybe Unity?? Its got a lot to talk about and Kurt loves it as a game! Thoughts?? What history do you want looked at?

Love Black Flag but the data sequence puzzles can fuck right off.

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 01:10 PM PDT

The fucking security sequences with the red line data is the most infuriating mechanic that was put in the game. I can't pass the longer one after, i think, sequence 9 (the jungle guardian mission). And i think that's where my game is over. Fuck that stupid puzzle. Ruined an otherwise perfect game. Now i can't get back in until i beat that puzzle, which I'm not going to. Rant over. Looking fwd to Valhalla. *Edit for frustration spelling mistakes.
