I still remember the reactions of the AC: Valhalla footage from July, and people saying that the graphics wouldn’t improve this close to release.

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 08:26 PM PDT

Wonder how those people feel now, I can't remember seeing graphical improvement to this degree in any game in this short a timespan. It looks like an entirely different game from what we had seen before.

Just started Odyssey and it’s amazing

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 10:59 AM PDT

I'm coming off of replaying the originals(AC1-3) and hoped into Odyssey to get myself into hype for Valhalla. This game literally fixed so many of my long lasting issues with Assassins Creed. The horses are actually useful and fast. The combat feels fun for a change and not just waiting for a guy to hit you so you can press counter and kill everyone in a chain. The world is massive and interesting. The main character is super like-able and funny and interesting. The abilities you can spend points on change combat so much. The enemy hideouts can be tackled however you want. Nothing feels restrictive. It feels like Far Cry. No getting desynchronized for getting spotted. No stupid fucking tailing missions where you get a countdown the second you don't see your target. You can be stealthy or a monster charging in. I'm not sure how much of this was added in before Odyssey. But I came into this game very skeptical due to the RPG mechanics taking over. But it's probably one of my favorites of the franchise now and I can't wait to play more. I'm very impressed with the direction the series is being taken.

I'm pretty excited for Asgard and North America already being in the base game, and I hope this will help make them more 'special'

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 01:05 PM PDT

My reason for that is two-factored.

Firstly, those two places being shorter gives the devs more opportunity to make them unique experiences compared to the regular gameplay loop in England. I think the afterlifes in Origins, but especially the three Atlantis maps in Odyssey suffered from having to keep up the same activities already present in the overworld to deliver enough content for the price of the DLC. By comparison, the Shangri-La maps in Far Cry 4 did not have to bother with giving the player upgrades for their gun or anything like that, they were fully self-contained. And both of the settings listed here would IMO benefit the most from having more out there rules instead of just being a different skybox to do the same things in.

Asgard obviously is a mythical place. There are Gods there. I want to go there to have my mind blown. I want to climb really big trees. I want to ride an eight-legged horse hunting a giant snake. I want to wrestle a wolf the size of a mountain. I don't want to hear Welcome to Nordic heaven, over here are some chests to loot and over there you can kill some soldiers to get XP.

North America has the problem that it's mostly just 'empty', unless they made the natives hostile for some reason, which I really don't see Ubisoft doing. If they made a big DLC around it, it would need an enemy to fight. And if it came down to an enemy expedition having arrived just before you and controlling everything so you can fight the same enemies you did in the base game, I would pass. In that case, I'd rather just be able to take in the landscape, have some contact with natives, visit an ancient Isu location and then be done.

So in both cases, I think a 2-3 hour experience that really changes up the rules compared to what you experience in the english countryside would be preferable to a full-sized expansion.

Secondly, this would then leave the DLC spots open for visiting some of the other places that were important in Viking History. Obviously Ireland or northern France would be top contenders. And with the Viking expansion commonly seen to be mainly directed westwards, I would really love to see expansions in the eastern part of Europe. The Baltic, the slavic river systems, or even down to Constantinople. Visiting Asgard could even be integrated into those DLCs, with its own story continuing throughout them.

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 04:15 PM PDT

Remember the Apple of Eden in AC3 where Connor got some visions from Juno?

I think either that Apple came from Eivor and the others OR Eivor learned of a seer in the New World and wanted to see it for himself.

How it'll play in the story though I got no idea haha.

    Theory about Eivor and Gender

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 02:31 PM PDT

So, this might be a bit out there, but honestly we've seen weirder in this series. After the reveal of the 'default' option switching between genders, my fiancée (who loves mythology) suggested this: what if Eivor is a child of Loki? In the myths, Loki changed sex at will (and also, you know, into a horse). This could potentially explain a few things:

-The situation with the gender. -Protagonists are usually Isu descendents - Loki could be an Isu, but perhaps a different kind, thus leading to a variation in powers. -Eivor is an orphan, so perhaps they're hiding the parents for a reason?

Anyway, I've loved this idea since she came up with it, even if it may be unlikely.

Using Ikaros to kill leaders, polemarches, captains, etc.

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 03:49 PM PDT

After gaining "level" three of Eyes of Ikaros, I decided to try something out. "Level" three allows you to harass and damage anyone you see when you are looking through Ikaro's eyes. When I got to a fort, I hid in some grass, switched to Ikaros, hovered, found a captain, harassed him and Ikaros takes a good chunk of health off each time you do it. No cooldown, as the moment Ikaros flies away, you can do it again. You have to be less than 50 meters from your target and you have to be able to have direct line for Ikaros to attack. After this, forts and military camps are s breeze. The only thing? You gotta synchronize alot of viewpoints to get it, but if your tired of having to fight everybody in a camp or for when your assassination doesn't kill your target, have your eagle buddy do it for you.

Will Eivor’s hood show in dialogue and cutscenes?

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 03:24 PM PDT

As much as I love Odyssey, one thing I had a problem with was that the hood never showed up in dialogue scenes or cutscenes. So will that be the case in Valhalla, or will the hood show? Because I like the hood showing.

    Posted: 16 Oct 2020 12:07 AM PDT

So I was wondering if anyone knew wether something like this would be possible (check title). I quite liked the animal taming in odyssey cause at least my journey's felt less lonely at times + when I was on the weak end of a spectrum a bear could soak up a few hits while I retreated back to recover. Rather sad for the bear, I know but I deemed the system super practical. It was fun and convenient. Does anyone know if we can expect features like this?

Colonial Australia - Common Setting Discussions

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 07:55 AM PDT

A common trait Assassin's Creed groups have is the constant theorizing about future settings, because historical tourism is one of the best parts of the series. This series of posts will act as a counter to my Mildly Obscure setting discussions, but rather than looking at a single point, I will be taking a broad setting that is popular and looking at several potential settings to explore within it. Today's setting is Colonial Australia.

    The Rum Rebellion

Australia began as a Penal Colony for the British in the 1780s who were seeking to undermine the French in the region; and subsequently, the city of Sydney was the de-facto capital of the New South Wales colony where thousands of prisoners were sent. In 1804 Irish convicts who were part of a rebellion 6 years prior rose up again with 233 men. Martial Law was declared quickly and Major George Johnston mobilized 97 men to fight the rebels at Rouse Hill. 15 Died in battle with 9 more executed (including the ringleader Phillip Cunningham) and 23 exiled. Johnston subsequently became the commander of the New South Wales Corps, and over the next 3 years may have investigated further plots by Irish Rebels that had escaped and tried to start new uprisings.

William Bligh became Governor of Sydney in 1805 only to begin clashing with the rich elite of New South Wales who controlled and were pioneers in Australian Rum and Wool industries including John Macarthur. Beyond taking land from these men, allegedly he was interfering with the New South Wales Corps affairs and was abusive towards the men, as reported by Major Johnston in 1807 to the British Military. This in turn culminated with a coup and arrest of Governor Bligh in January of 1808 by Macarthur and Johnston. After contacting allies in Tasmania and sacking some land and reselling it, the two were eventually removed from office in 1810 with Lachlan Macquarie instated as Governor. He would spend the next 11 years transforming New South Wales into a free colony. Macquarie would most likely be portrayed as an Assassin Ally, though I could Macarthur and Johnston also being allies, who either broke the tenets of the creed by being too public, or they could be Templars attempting to seize land for themselves looking for vaults, as several are on the Australian Continent.

    The Australian Gold Rush

Australia in many ways mimics America during the same era. During the 1840s-1900 gold rushes swarmed Australia and people flooded the colonies and mines looking to make a fortune. At the same time, dozens of gangs filled the cities and outback, looking to scam and steal the fortunes of the newcomers. These bushrangers acted much the same as American Outlaws in the old west and include some famous Australians like Moondyne Joe, Mary Ann Bugg, Captain Thunderbolt, Captain Moonlight, and Dan Morgan. Many of these men and women hold a freedom fighter folk hero status in parts of Australia, but most were far from it. I can definitely see them being treated like Pirates in AC4 with some being Assassins and others being Templars, and maybe founding a small posse or bushranger gang to fight back.

During this time, Australia's colonies were expanding and entering into small wars with native Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders. Much like with America, there's too many for me to fully list, so here's a Wikipedia link which lists most of the massacres from 1790-1920. Much like with America there could be an interesting story about natives navigating the exploration and conquering of their continent by Europeans, while also possibly dealing with the gangs and warfare from citizens around the country. The unique, gorgeous, landscapes and wildlife of Australia definitely make for an interesting period, as do famous big cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Brisbane; the latter two which hold vaults or Isu artifacts. Speaking of such, there's also a vault in the outback near modern-day Alice Springs and underwater in the Southern Great Australian Bight. At this same time, New Zealand was in the midst of wars with Maori and declaring itself to self govern. This could make a great DLC with interesting cities of Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch to visit amidst the stunning landscapes.

    The Great Emu War

It was 1932. The local Emu population had been decimating crops and bounties placed on their heads were not sufficient to bring in enough Emu deaths to stop Farmer complaints. As a result, the federal government allowed Sir George Pearce, Major G. P. W. Meredith, and the Royal Australian Artillery to begin a month-long campaign of death and destruction to the vicious Emu, with some estimates hoping they'd kill 20,000 Emu. Know while no human deaths were reported, 986 Emu were killed using 9860 rounds. Why did it take so many rounds to kill so few Emu?

Assassin Emu. Armed with a hidden blade, we could play as an Emu ushering its brethren away and fighting the good fight against the vile Royal Australian Artillery, making them waste rounds as our Emu character dances through the hail of gunfire, assassinating George Pearce and Major Meredith. The lore just makes way too much sense. Ubi pls.

Best and/or most fun map to traverse of the 360/PS3 games

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 04:41 PM PDT

I've been a fan of assassin's creed for 10 years now, but have only had the first game. I recently picked up the rest of the 360 games and was wondering which map is the most fun to traverse, or just the most fun to run around in nonstop? Which one had the highest density of buildings close together that make getting around fun?

See the conversation from 8:39 in this video.

So TetraNinja did some flyting which increased his charisma level earlier in had to pay double the price for the information needed or he would have to infiltrate in Tonna's camp and find for information.

At last all the outcomes remains the same, they got to know where they have to go next to get the king they want to dethrone.

Assassin's Creed: Excalibur - spin off featuring the return of Juno

Assassin's Creed: Excalibur - spin off featuring the return of Juno

One key characteristic of AC development is the recycling of mechanics...assets and environments. In 2021 we could have a Rogue and Unity situation. What if Ubisoft decided to use elements from Valhalla, in a new setting, for a past gen game? Sub Roman Britain would fit the recyclable, spin off nature of assets. This is my standalone pitch. Juno's return in this does not contradict the lore. Enjoy!

    UBISOFT MONTREAL PRESENTS

    ASSASSIN'S CREED: EXCALIBUR

PROLOGUE - "So falls the House of Pendragon". In lore all we know is that Arthur existed and had idealistic views. So here he is the protagonist for this historical narrative.

The saxons are invading Britain. The game begins with them attacking the King's castle. Flaming arrows, the sound of wailing women and children and soldiers gasping for air as their blood fills their lungs. Trembling, closed in his room, is a young Arthur Pendragon, son of Uther Pendragon, King of Britain.

The King holds his son assuring him that everything will be alright. He holds him tightly as he instructs his servants to call his consiglieri, Merlin.

Uther begs Merlin to take Arthur to safety, should anything happen and to take care of him, to which Merlin nods in approval, with respect filling his big eyes. "Protect my boy. Give him the care I never did. The kindness I never showed. The skills I never taught him".

The King holds his son assuring him that everything will be alright. He holds him tightly as he instructs his servants to call his consiglieri, Merlin. Protect my boy. Give him the care I never did. The kindness I never showed. The skills I never taught him\".

Merlin was a trusted man by Uther. He was the expert of occult practices in the Kingdom. He possessed a staff that allowed him to remain young, appearance wise, too

The saxons have entered the castle as Uther tells Arthur to go with Merlin, despite the young boy's objections. Nonetheless, Merlin takes him. Arthur can only take with him his trusted animal companion. A baby eagle.

They are ambushed by several saxons while fleeing the castle, all killed by Merlin, an expert in combat. All but one. Merlin is injured, unable to get to Arthur. He tosses him his sword, screaming at him to stab the warrior coming at him.

An order successfully followed by the child. Arthur had taken his first life. And his innocence as well. They flee the castle on a boat, as Arthur looks behind to the flaming skies that had engulfed the Castle where he once blossomed his now defunct happiness.

MODERN DAY PART I - again, for the modern day, I will be using fanmade characters, particularly that of Sara Adler, a former Abstergo operative, turned vigilante, then Assassin, as the protagonist. She's a sage but a special one at that, as she's Eve reborn. She's trapped in a cycle of violence and hopes to change it in this AC.

The Instruments of The First Will, after the events of Uprising are weakened and reduced to a few elements. But they're causing trouble again as they believe they found King Arthur's DNA and that somehow is connected to Juno and a way to revive her, not corporeally but in the Grey.

The assassins intercept them and recover the DNA to understand what is going on. The instruments do not pose much of a threat after this, reduced to a single cell. Hidden.

ACT 1 - "There's a sadness that emanates from you, Arthur. You'd be wise to give it peace" - Guinevere. Years have passed and young Arthur is now in his twenties. The saxons have been raiding Britain for years now and his father and mother are dead. Vortigern, another Pendragon, has taken the role of King, after declaring the death of Uther's son, believing he is dead. Vort has not been a kind master for the Island as he has implemented a brutal rule, held by corruption

Arthur grew with the promise of eventually becoming Britain's king, continuing his father's legacy. But growing on the streets of Londinium made sure that the young became infatuated with its peculiar nature. Ruling, despite his fate, was not the primary force he'd use to help people.

Because that is what he intended to do, first and foremost. Helping people. To achieve such a thing, and taking advantage of Merlin's training in his earlier years, Arthur became a vigilante, doing good...

But his vigilante persona was not the only dual life he was leaving for he too hid his true identity to all. That he was the true heir to the throne, for fear of being hunted by Vort.

Arthur's low level street crusade caught the attention of the Hidden Ones and they eventually propose for him to join their cause and climb their ranks. Which he did, admirably, for Arthur, when committed to a goal, would endure all to achieve it. All while carrying a heavy burden, for hiding his true identity.

With the Hidden Ones, it would be revealed that the Saxons invasion of Britain and Vort's hold on power was a plot by the Order of Ancients. But never Arthur. The young man would also see himself finding the embrace of Guinevere, another hidden one.

As two broken individuals, they found solace in each other. Their pain turned into light and love.

With time, Arthur would be invited by the Hidden Ones cell mentor, to fulfill his training and become a full on Hidden One. He is invited to a private meeting with the mentor, another harsh man that frequently would send agents to risky missions, causing the death of several.

But not Arthur. And this, coupled with Guinevere's backing helped him secure a private meeting. But suddenly, the button X appears on screen for the player to press, not knowing what it would cause, during Arthur's conversation with his assassin leader. Pressing it, a shock: Arthur kills his mentor.

    Arthur was a sleeper agent

ACT II - "Does it bother you, Arthur. The notion that to those that trusted you, you'll always be branded a traitor?" - Bedivere: ACT II is essentially a flashback sequence in almost its entirety. Once again, we return to Arthur's training of yore, under Merlin. Merlin declares Arthur's training finished as he is a warrior on his own now. He then tells him, only one thing remains to be done. Arthur is taken to a decrepit castle. Camelot. The base...of the Order of Ancients. Your base in Excalibur.

Many agents there could go on missions with you, namely Lancelot, Bedivere, and many other Arthurian characters too. Arthur swears their oath. He is declared...an agent of their cause.

As he swears the oath there is a mix of pride and concern in his face. As if he is unsure of what he is doing but he knows it is the right path. Merlin embraces Arthur into the Order

But this is no ordinary Order of Ancients. This is a rogue faction within the order, a faction led by Merlin. Merlin, like Arthur's father, belonged in the Order of Ancients. Warriors for a cause. Merlin was the occult specialist, the Isu specialist of the Order. But the order split in two.

One faction, favoring more brutal control and less humanism, as displayed by Vort. The other, Merlin's faction, intending a more idealistic path to it. Both consider themselves to be the rightful representatives of the Ancients, viewing the other faction as a perversion. Arthur was to lead eventuall

Merlin invites Arthur to a secret Temple, protected by the Order of Ancients, one that Merlin had uncovered long ago. He takes him to a lake and tells him to trust him and dive into it.

He would find a cave and in it, an Isu temple filled with strange markings engraved in stone. In the middle, a device, which, upon activation, shows the distorted vision of an Isu woman. Merlin called her the Lady of the Lake and, like in Arthurian lore, he was infatuated by her knowledge, despite her being only a virtual construction.

Arthur has several visions of the past, the present, the future. Of what is, what could be and what will be. All connected.

The Lady of the Lake detects Arthur presence and explains to him that his future is one of royalty. That he would one day become Britain's king and lead it to victory against the saxons. She tells him that he is Adam's descendant, holding great power in his DNA.

Only him could wield the sword of Eden. But to enact such a future, he had to believe it first. For fate is inexorable, but only those who trust it, can hope to enact it in its totality.

She tells him he needs to find the Excalibur, his object to fulfill his will. Merlin, standing with Arthur in the temple, asks him if he understands what he needs to do. Arthur nods approvingly, but still stunned by what he experienced. Merlin tells him that the Assassins hold the Sword of Eden, in a secret place.

They devise a plan in which Arthur would infiltrate the Hidden Ones, climb their ranks, discover the location of the sword and destroy them from within. Flash-forward to the moment Arthur kills his mentor.

He stealthily escapes the facility, having recovered a map from the mentor, possibly with the location of the Excalibur. They devise a plan to recover it, knowing the Assassins will be there to stop them, after finding what Arthur did.

Not telling Merlin, Arthur goes to see Guinevere, knowing this could kill him, but he had to. He had to explain. There, Guinevere nearly kills him. He tells her the truth about his lineage, about being a Pendragon and being an agent for the Order of Ancients, trying to explain he only wants to do good.

He attempts to explain the man he killed was not a good one, for he held a brutal rule of the Hidden Ones order. She can´t shoot an arrow at him. She loves him. Deeply.

She tells him she's pregnant, to his shock. He warns her the Ancients will attack the site of the Excalibur and begs her to stay out of the fight. As he walks out, she looks at him, with tears in her eyes, claiming she trusted him deeply and that he betrayed her. That she had given herself to him.

Guinevere's words echoed on his mind, like torture to his damaged self. The day of the battle against the Hidden Ones, Arthur only hopes Guinevere is not there. She doesn´t seem to be. But dozens of Hidden Ones are. As are dozens of rogue Ancients.

A bloody medium scale battle ensues, with the Ancients leaving victorious. The path to Excalibur's temple is open. Arthur sees the sword, shiny in its form, as if calling to him.

The temple is similar to the one under the lake. As Arthur tries to remove the sword, he gets visions of possible futures and sees Sara Adler in the modern day. He removes the sword but the visions take a toll on him.

Arthur and the Order of Ancients defeat the Hidden Ones and he retrieves the Excalibur having a vision of the future and of who is watching him in the animus

Suddenly, the Lady of the Lake appears again in a construct but this time she is fully clear. It's Juno. Arthur knows not who she is as the Isu Goddess tells him he played his part well. He passes out.

ACT III: - "You cannot change your nature. You cannot change who you are. We're talking about science. Determinism. How can a man fight what lies inside of his soul" - Arthur, as he is having a flashback to his childhood. His father was not a man that treated him very well, choosing politics and his role in the Order of Ancients as its leader, first, putting Arthur in a secondary one.

Merlin raised Arthur first in the castle, then in the streets. With an harsh rule, sure, but nonetheless, devoted to helping him, he believed. Unlike his father, he actually was there for him.

The flashback ends with Arthur, as a child, thanking Merlin for saving him as Merlin smiles. End of flashback. Arthur is in a dungeon, in chains.

Merlin appears, revealing to Arthur that he fulfilled his role, that of retrieving the sword of Eden. That only he could remove it from stone, due to being Adam's descendant, as he foresaw by studying time. But now...the sword was his. And he'd use to bring about the New World for his beloved

As a specialist on the occult, Merlin had found the underwater temple and through the Lady of The Lake, Juno, saw visions of a future, one marked by disease and violence.

He reveals to Arthur that he is Aita reborn, husband to Juno.

And that he will first clean the world of its wrongs, opening the way for her eventual return. As he plunged Britain into chaos, engineering the saxon invasions, the rogue ancients and Vort's rise to power.

All were manipulated without knowing it. When asked why...because he needed to open a wound so that others could seize control, through him, amidst the chaos. Only then could the people be desperate enough for a totalitarian rule, not from our fellow man, but a divine one. Juno herself...

The day of the execution, Arthur is about to get killed. However, he is saved, by his mates, Lancelot, Bedivere and others. They all know of Merlin's plans and warn him they too have been tricked and imprisoned but managed to escape with the help of Guinevere, new leader of the Assassins cell.

She has since learned of what happened and procured a way to ensure Arthur would be saved, despite all. Despite some hidden ones objections, knowing what Merlin intends, for they too found out, they had to save Arthur. He has a role to play out, according to the Temples knowledge.

Lancelot and his friends save Arthur, together with the Hidden Ones help. A temporary alliance. Guinevere jumps in the water as Arthur is struck by an arrow and she helps him. She still loved him deeply and heartily

But her help ends there, at least apparently. She does not want to talk with Arthur. For now, he's focused on locating and assassinating Instruments of The First Will, comprised of former proto assassins and templars, led by Merlin, devoted to Juno as well... Their faction is growing considerably...

Slowly but methodically, as he would take out several Instruments, he would come closer to the man he needed to be. A leader. A shepard. This was always his noble view of the Order. One of leadership and guidance. A benevolent master to the people, empowering all.

Trying to return to the underwater temple or the other was impossible for it was too heavily guarded. Knowing the saxons are getting stronger in their raids and presence in Britain, Arthur knows they must take the offensive. But they need allies.

ACT IV - "Everytime I close my eyes, I see the disappointment in her soul" - Arthur, about Guinevere.

Arthur in this act would go through the difficult task of trying to convince hidden ones, order of ancients agents and even Vort himself, telling him that he was nothing but a puppet to Merlin.

    https://preview.redd.it/wxe75cmfo9t51.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6cbd9a80cd5d4cc4e66b308d08d0e6951327ad6

But Vort's meeting with Arthur was nothing more than a ploy from Vort, revealing himself to be, also, an instrument of Juno, sharing Merlin's goals. Merlin appears in the room, ready to kill Arthur. Arthur manages to escape the ambush, promising Merlin his revenge.

Arthur felt the need to procure Guinevere and the Hidden Ones help. After what Arthur did to them and her it would be a monumental task but he had to do it. He had to try.

As he arrives in the bureau, he is almost killed by the Hidden Ones. He begs them to listen, that the war against the Instruments is bigger than this. He needs to talk with Guinevere. They tell him she has been kidnapped. By the Instruments. As ordered by Merlin.

Arthur is in panic. He blames himself. There is one place she could have been taken. Camelot, now seized by the Instruments. This is confirmed by a letter that the Hidden Ones give him, saying that only Arthur could appear in Camelot otherwise Guinevere would die.

Arthur was saved by Guinevere before. He had to save her now. He loved her. He goes to Camelot. The irony of infiltrating a castle improved in its security by him.

He gets Guin, weakened, tortured by the Instruments for information she refused to give about Arthur. He rides with her as fast as he can to the Hidden Ones bureau to assist her. There, she can´t handle the pain. She's giving birth, triggered by the situation.

She gives birth to a dead baby. A stillbirth. And she dies in the process. Before dying she looks at Arthur telling him to not let this destroy the good that exists within him.

That she's sorry for everything. That he can unite Britain. He only needs to believe himself. He screams, his pain echoed like a wounded, sad, animal. Before dying she tells the hidden ones to support Arthur's cause.

MODERN DAY PART 2 - Sara is shocked at what happened and needs to exit the animus to relax. Due to the bleeding effect it's as if she felt Arthur's emotional pain.

She goes to sleep and the next day, is informed that the Assassins have located the HQ of the remaining instruments of The first will. Sara tells Shaun she will go to their base and interrogate one, but Shaun objects due to thinking she is still not feeling emotionally well due to the bleeding effect and also her emotional problems of before.

Nonetheless she promises to go just to do some recon work. But she takes a gun instead of her usual less lethal bow. And will call for backup after assessing how many Instruments are in the HQ. There, she counts 25.

Shaun tells her to wait for backup but she says she only needs one alive, she'll do it by herself. Shaun screams at her, saying it's akin to suicide! Motivated by the rage of Arthur, she kills everyone, bar one agent, John Wick style.

Cutscene due to the fact that guns are used in this sequence

Sara returns to the HQ with one instrument alive, to be interrogated. All are angry at Sara, asking her if she has a suicidal purpose. The man is interrogated and claims he follows Juno not for love or subservience but for necessity.

That both the Assassins and Templars do not pose a solution to the world's problems. That the world is literally ending due to global warming and only swift totalitarian action can save it. Humans can´t save it. So only Juno can. If she's still in the Grey, a virtual copy. He argues he'll do whatever he must.

ACT V - " EVERY MAN THAT WOULD AID ARTHUR PENDRAGON AND HIS BAND OF TRAITORS IS TO BE DECLARED AN ENEMY OF THE STATE" - Vort. Arthur feels that he has died with Guin. He considers suicide, going to the extent of standing over a mountain, ready to jump. But not to any stack of hay. To oblivion. Guinevere is gone, as is the Excalibur, now with Merlin. Vort is with Merlin and the Saxons are pushing forward.

It is only through Arthur's friends help that he regains hope. He remembers Guinevere's words. He does not want to let her down. It is time to continue making alliances with all who desire to fight for a better Britain. Slowly but methodically, Arthur becomes the leader he always could have been

Capturing the hearts of men and women, Arthur's words, motivated by revenge and empathy, would strike at the core of the populace, now aware of his lineage.

The Island had suffered for far too long. If Arthur had to be king and embrace his destiny to help it. So be it. They needed a king. Finally Arthur was up to the task. The allies are all set. Proto-Assassins. Proto-Templars. Citizens. Soldiers.

All united to fight the Instruments, comprised of manipulated saxons, rogue assassins and templars, Vort and Merlin. The odds were not great.

But the battle had to be fought. Arthur learns that Merlin had been working on a device, one capable of bringing back Juno from the Grey, he believes. The device was being built in the Temple where Arthur retrieved his Excalibur. So, all the armies convene there. The battle is about to begin.

The air is silent before the battle. Eyes locked on each other. Until CHARGE!!! is echoed. Merlin's army, twice the size, takes the initiative.

The battle seems lost as Merlin uses the Excalibur to kill countless soldiers... But Arthur, using his assassin skills learned from the hidden ones, and his templar skills learned from the Ancients, , manages to attack Merlin and take the Excalibur from him. They fight. And Arthur kills Merlin.

Then, by using the Excalibur, Arthur defeats the armies left standing. With his DNA the Excalibur wielded much more power, altho it was pretty powerful by itself

Vort died in the battle and, with the populace knowing Arthur's true lineage, they all praise him as King as he promises to lead them into victory and peace.

With Merlin dead, the saxon threat was not yet defeated but the british finally had their new leader, to save Britain from the invaders that had pillaged and raided for years.

Arthur reforms the Order of Ancients, one of guidance and empathy, leading people, teaching them the way to peaceful coexistance. The Hidden Ones and the Ancients would meet a temporary truce and would even work together, as William Miles stated in the lore, that such a thing had happened.

Arthur forms the Knighs of The Round Table, comprised with Lancelot, Bedivere, Mordred and others that helped him throughout his life. All dedicated to helping the people of Britain, benevolent masters.

His vision fulfilled. The arrogance of Merlin and Juno left them unable to change fate, something they thought they could.

EPILOGUE: "Labels matter little. Your heart...that is what matters". With his Excalibur, he manages to lead Britain's armies and expel the Saxons. Eventually, believing his purpose had been fulfilled, he decides to place the sword in a secret place, after finding another Temple with an Isu message telling him that another would wield it in the future, for the fight for justice. That someone would be Eivor.

MODERN DAY PART 3 - it seems as if Arthur had won this battle hundreds of years ago, stopping the Instruments from trying to enact their plan then. I felt it would be necessary to give a game in which we face the instruments and defeat them, even if my hands are tied by the fact that in the modern day they're already defeated.

The kidnapped Instrument is a broken man, absent of meaning now. Sara considers killing him. But she has learned through Arthur's journey. And she lets him go. The instruments are finished anyway. Breaking the cycle of violence that had almost consumed her in previous narratives of mine.

I tried to provide a twist on some arthurian elements but there are many that would be present but the post is as long as it is so I hope you have enjoyed it.

How will Eivor's journey to Vinland go?

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 10:20 PM PDT

Historically, the vikings clashed with the natives CONSTANTLY upon their arrival to North America. The Vikings did establish a major settlement for a few years but eventually abandoned it due to relentless native (possibly Inuit I think) aggression in the year 1050. So will Eivor be on that Columbus shit? Or will there be some far out twist and he ends up being an ancestor of Connor?

OK, Sigurd definitely becomes a Templar/Ancient.

    Posted: 15 Oct 2020 10:10 AM PDT

We all know that something fishy was going on with Sigurd and in an Access The Animus Interview with Darby McDevitt he says that the prophecy is that Eivor will betray Sigurd and throughout the story Sigurd does things that Eivor does not agree with and it gets harder to stay loyal. But during one of the missions in the new gameplay released Sigurd talks about the King (Can't remember his name) that united Norway and he said he now really likes him as he thinks everyone should be united. This is what the Templars want. Unity. This upon many hints I think it's impossible for Sigurd not to become a Templar during the story.
