| Black flag is a good game but I wish it was better Posted: 21 Oct 2020 08:18 PM PDT There's virtually no difficulty/challenge, the ships drive around more like cars than real ships, theres too many boring/tailing missions and even the side quests are quite average and very repetitive. The only purpose of money is to upgrade stuff so you can....make more money. There could be a mission where you need to spend 50,000 reals or do something more interesting with the money.....but no its just upgrade ship so you can fight the more difficult ships in later missions The pirate cove is a cool idea but why ever spend any time there....nothing to do. Maybe drink and chill for 5 minutes? And then you want to go off and actually have fun. Theres zero point in upgrading the house on that hill nor the prostitution place, and theres no point to paying for bars/shops because you can just quick travel to any of the other ones Zero point in upgrading Edward because combat is just so easy. Although the customization is cool. Now im not comparing this to other games because I honestly don't play many games, but i'm interested in pirates and REALLY wanted to enjoy it, and while the game is cool and pretty I cant help but feel that it could have been way better, even in 2013. The best parts of the game are probably the art style and kenway, he is a cool character but it just felt like all this assassin stuff was shoved down his storys throat. The best parts of the game are the pirating story not the observatory stuff. If theres virtually no challenge to the game and no repercussions for dying.....it doesnt even feel like much of a game....it feels like an interactive movie that an 8 y/o could play through.....except its worse than Pirates of the caribbean and the real stories of the 18th century pirates.....plus its takes 3x as long to get through as the pirates trilogy Is it just me or do people have far lower standards for games rather than movies. I guess the fact that people can control it makes it more stimulating/addictive and that may be why [link] [comments] |
