Creepiest and Scariest Stuff in the Series

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 06:54 PM PDT

What were the creepiest and scariest things to you in the series?

For me it's been the following:

    1.The underground in 3

    1. The tree in Legacy of the First Blade

    2. When you had to play as Deimos in Odyssey

    3. The Cradle of the Underworld was practically a horror game

    4. The Minotaur approach and fighting Medusa

Origins was visually more stunning and more immersive than Odyssey

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 07:10 PM PDT

For me Unity and Origins are the best looking games. There's something about Origins, its atmosphere, the cinematic mood, that makes it way more immersive and beautiful than Odyssey. It had a realistic color palette and ambient sunlight perfectly drenched the sands of Egypt in dazzling oranges and reds. The cities, especially Alexandria were laid out perfectly. Odyssey just didn't seem as visually compelling for some reason.

Some of my favourite Photo Mode images I have taken in Origins and Odyssey. You can use some of them as wallpapers I guess :)

game set during the split of the holy roman empire

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 06:51 PM PDT

so, I was thinking, and there should be a game set during the holy roman empire when it was becoming a bunch of city states, because there was a bunch of people trying to grab power at once, it would be a good place for social stealth, and it would also make for a great conspiracy, so yeah after Valhalla, it should be a game.

Assassin's Creed doesn't take itself seriously anymore

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 06:03 PM PDT

The whole point of Assassin's Creed is you're a PC inside and animus revisiting history to find a piece of Eden to stop whatever Abstergo is doing in MD.

There's RPG elements. How can you have a historical simulation when there's multiple choice options in dialogue? It's like the devs decided "You're the MC inside and animus but fuck it, the simulation is the game now" breaking its own lore for the sake of throwing in RPG elements so it sells more.

Assassin, hunter and warrior? Sounds like a blatent rip off of Tomb Raider. Hunter., Survivor and Brawler. Also I bought an Assassin's Creed game to be an assassin I bought an Assassin's Creed game to follow the creed now it's a pLaY iT yOuR wAy game. Rather than perfecting one play style you get several watered down playstyles. Assassin animations? Where are those? Combat was shit in the earlier games but that's because you're not supposed to get into fights, you're supposed to assassinate and it rewards you with that by making assasssinating satisfying.

There's multiple endings. So... Why is Layla even in the animus if everything she's seeing isn't real since there's multiple dialogue options, endings and romance options?

Where's Abstergo? They're now just "The big bad corporation we never see but we'll mention them a few times so you know we haven't forgot."

It feels like the overarching plot has been dropped. Ubisoft just said "Fuck it, just make a historical RPG with loose AC lore tied in."

I'm bitching because I'm watching something I love turn into a faceless RPG that's completely lost it's identity. It's a completely different franchise with a shared name. Change is good, but it's completely lost its original vision. You can change and spice up gameplay whilst still keeping consistent with the overall theme of the series and feel of the gameplay (e.g Unity). They haven't done that.

Ubisoft don't give a shit about Assassin's Creed, they just want to make the game appeal to as many fans as possible so they can rake in as much money. Games used to be art first, business second.

Bayek's Father's sword is not actually Bayek's canon weapon

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 03:10 PM PDT

The normal Khopesh sword is. It's just called" Khopesh Sword". Ubisoft advertised Bayek with two weapons: The Bronze Sword and the standard Khopesh Sword. To me, that's good enough to warrant that being his canonical weapon.

I just wanted to mention this because everyone always has Bayek's canon weapon as the Sana'a Khopesh but that's just not true,

New Mechanic Idea: Your actions should trigger new scenarios during missions. Having 10 different ways to complete quests, actions that trigger secret dialogue missions.

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 01:54 PM PDT

Imagine instead of the dumb dialogue options we could make actionable decisions that affect the mission

example: Evil King orders you told to kill a good king. You go to the good king's castle and find him praying alone. He hears someone above making creaking noises and asks if someone is there. You either air assassinate him OR you can jump down and it'll trigger a dialogue. The king asks you to spare him and in return you get a ridiculous reward like a huge ship/weapon/secret/treasure map. He asks you to play double agent and kill the evil king. You return to the evil king, you now have multiple choices

    • lie and tell him the good kings dead and you now get another reward from playing both kings, but they'll eventually find out and both will send triple the amount of bounty hunters on your head. So more loot but more annoying bounty hunters

    • you kill the evil king, unlock new cultist identity, find something that one of your crew members was looking for thus triggering a new quest line and unlocking a new secret fighting ability that he teaches you.

    • Never returning to the king: This method will get you kidnapped, sent to a prison to lose your weapons and armor and have to get it back(thus decreasing your level for the time being) and you have to fight dudes 10x stronger OR you can stealthily get it back but the guard watch rotations are difficult. Your health/attack increases by 5% from training in harsh conditions.

    Thoughts?

When was the first time the name Precursor was used to refer to the Isu?

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 10:02 PM PDT

Does any one know when the first instance was? I know the Precursor Box is called the Precursor Box, and I know the name Precursor was used in Odysseys dlc. But i'm curious when the first instance was. I found a citation to AC III on a wiki in regards to the name, but watching the Isu related cutscenes in that game I couldn't find the reference. Any reference other than the two above of the name/title would be appreciated!

i ran out of sleep and berserker darts mid mission in Black Flag. The mission is too much of a pain for me to do it once more. Tried using trainers but didn't really help. What do?

As title says. I'm stuck in infiltrating fortress in Nassau mission.

Wondering what your theories are on what Valhalla’s DLCs will be about.

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 11:27 PM PDT

Just wanted to know what people expect the DLC for Valhalla to be. The pattern with Origins and Odyssey seems to be a smaller DLC which is mostly character driven followed by a bigger DLC focused around a mystical power (mummy's with Origins, and Atlantis for Odyssey). Basically this is me deciding if the gold edition is worth it based off of what they could do in this setting. There's plenty of great mythology they could use, and I'm excited to hear your theories.

Syndicate Ending feels like a let down

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 08:40 AM PDT

Sorry if this spoils anything but the ending should have been so much harder and it wasn't. While I enjoyed the rest of the game, just wish the build up led to something more dramatic.

Do all the main characters in the assassins creed games have god like abilities? Like stronger than average human and faster than average humans?

Doing missions out of animus is boring as fuck.

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 08:44 PM PDT

It should either be like the ones in ac 4 where you aren't doing anything significant, just moving from one place to another or it should be like syndicate where everything out of the animus is cut scenes.
