Why Bayek is one of my favorite protagonists. Posted: 25 Jan 2020 12:34 PM PST From my humble experience with the games I've played so far, I have to admit that Bayek was one of the few protagonists that felt ingrained in their environment, in their setting, world and time period. Bayek is one of those characters that always remind you of what they're and where they're from, he branded his culture like a shield, he would often pray for the gods, would believe in curses and bad omens, as would have every man from ancient Egypt, because again he was ingrained in his world. This jumped out to my attention because I couldn't help but notice that nowadays companies tend to separate at least their main characters from such aspects as religion or any sort of spiritual mindset for whatever reason it might be, and that made me love origins even more, there was no moment while playing that game where I said to myself "this guy sounds like someone from 2017" a time in which spirituality is either forsaken or frowned upon, where it is best left alone and swept under the rug. Another aspect that I loved about this game is that the main character is a father and not some young adult like we're used to, having ubisoft explore this role was nice and a welcome change, we got to see how Bayek behaved with his son, how he used to talk to him, go show him how to hunt, tell him about the gods, what they meant and what they stood for it was a really warm feeling and a kind of character that we needed in the franchise. Bayek was a kind man and a fearless protector, even after what happened to him, he would still go out of his way to help people all the while keeping his objective on sight. Bayek is one of my favorite protagonists because he felt real. What about you ? Who's your favorite main character in this franchise and why ? [link] [comments] |
Just started playing Assassin's Creed Unity on PS4 Pro Posted: 25 Jan 2020 06:24 PM PST I played it back in the day on standard PS4. I deleted my save game so I can start over from the beginning. This game runs like a dream now with boost mode on, and I have a SSD. I know it's not PS4 Pro enhanced, but it still looks fantastic. I didn't realize how much I needed a standard Assassin's Creed experience! Origins and Odyssey have gotten a bit long in the tooth [link] [comments] |
I am really excited and crazy hyped for next Assassin's creed. Posted: 25 Jan 2020 05:27 AM PST I really don't know about you guys, but I am really excited for next Assassin's creed, I couldn't get in to Vikings TV shows before, I really tried, but I found them boring, with the hype of next ac I couldn't hold the excitement so I rewatched the Viking and finished it, then I heard and watched the last kingdom too, now I really want ac Vikings. Ubisoft give me ac kingdom or whatever it called. Anyone hyped [link] [comments] |
Ac rouge is my favourite assassins creed game Posted: 25 Jan 2020 04:36 PM PST Here's why. The robes look a lot better for me personally I really like the fact they have no hood. The weapons are so much better. With the grenade launcher, the sword and dager sets, it just makes the experience better. Not to mention the combat itself. None of the enemies feel like damage sponges. Like black flag the naval mechanics are once again incredible. There are so much more things to do in the large three part world we get to rome. Being a templar is much more fun than being an assassin. As a templar I was able to make mass amounts of money through the renovation system and had the British army as an ally. Finally the story. Thought it felt short it was fucking incredible. The cut scenes weren't boring and Shay showed a wide array of emotions. He was serious when necessary but was also somewhat humorous. Also his story ark was fantastic showing him change from a goofy, immature assassin to a more serious and mature templar. Overall Assassins creed rouge is one of the best ac games I've played tied with black flag. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Jan 2020 12:32 AM PST i don't know why this game is running at 3-5 fps :/ i can play Rogue at 20 fps and AC 1 at 30 fps so what's the problem with this one? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Jan 2020 12:10 AM PST I recently installed the 360 version of AC4 again to play some multiplayer, but as I expected, the sessions are always empty and I only find them late on in the night, I was wondering, are there are any sessions still being filled on the Xbox One version of the game? Because I'm thinking of grabbing the Xbox One version but I don't want to buy it to then realise I've wasted my money. [link] [comments] |
Speculating on AC: Kingdom's Gameplay Systems Posted: 25 Jan 2020 11:13 AM PST Assassin's Creed Odyssey was the series' most systemic game to date. Features like the ship system, the mercenary system, and the war system all paint a picture of a potential path forward for the next game's world and the ways it will provide the player with interactivity. Since right now we have nothing but unconfirmed rumours flying about I thought it would be fun to talk about things we might see in AC: Kingdom. And there is one thing we know about the game: it will focus on Vikings. The Ship SystemThis system was not very fleshed out, but it does lay the groundwork for recruiting NPCs from the world, checking on their stats, calling them into battle (Call to Arms), and a loop of collecting resources and then upgrading your ship to increase its capabilities. The Mercenary SystemThe mercenary system is centered around a series of NPCs with various stats, movesets, appearences, and flavor-text stories, all of them persistent individuals scattered throughout the world. They will respond to bounties placed on the player should they be witnessed commiting a crime, and will pursue them across the map. The bounties are sponsored by NPCs that can be killed or paid off. The War SystemThe war system in Odyssey establishes regions within its world, each of them controlled by either Athens or Sparta. A leader controls the region, and their level of control is measured with the Nation Power meter. That level of control can be reduced by killing soldiers, destroying supplies, looting nation treasures, and assassinating the leader, among other things. There are three levels of control: Fortified, Weakened, and Vulnerable. These levels affect the leader's schedule and protection. When the level is low enough a conquest battle will be triggered for control of the region. Kingdom's Viking SystemI think putting different aspects of these systems together would create a very interesting and enjoyable gameplay loop. This is what I'm imagining: The world is broken up into different regions, each with their own sub-regions, just like Odyssey. The sub-regions will be statically defined, like Sacred Lands of Apollo or Greater Athens. The larger regions would be Kingdoms made up of some set of the sub-regions. Each Kingdom would be controlled by a King/Leader. These Kings would be persistent NPCs in the game world, each with their own stats, gear, and movesets. Some would be weak, fat old men, while others would be rival chieftans; strong and fearsome in combat. The player would begin the game with a small Kingdom consisting of a single sub-region. This would the player's main base. They would then be able to upgrade this small hamlet into a strong city while expanding their Kingdom over the course of the game. The player would assemble a band of NPCs, their Army, set off with them in their Longship, and raid other Kingdoms for resources. Doing so would weaken that respective sub-region and its associated Kingdom. Weaken it enough and you can take over that sub-region, expanding your Kingdom. You would return with resources that you could invest in your Kingdom, your Longship, your Army, or yourself. You can also recruit NPCs from throughout the world for use in either your Kingdom, Longship, or Army. They may have stats such as +10 Blacksmith skill, or +5 Ship Turning, or they might be an exceptional archer. These NPCs could be upgraded over time or die in battle or an enemy raid. You would need to balance your resource management between upgrading your Kingdom, Longship, Army, or personal gear. For instance, invest everything into your Longship and you may be able to transport a large army very quickly and store lots of looted resources, but find your Kingdom susceptible to enemy raids. Each sub-region and Kingdom would have various meters that would need to be monitored, and these could be affected by the player's actions. Maybe one region in your Kingdom is low on food. This will lead to unrest and a potential revolt against your leadership. In that case, an NPC from the area will rally support and breakoff from your Kingdom, creating their own Kingdom. In order to prevent this, you would need to raid a region that has a lot of food and return with it to your Kingdom. The larger a Kingdom is, the more difficult it is to manage. This would not be a static, player-dependent system either. The game world would consist of perhaps a dozen or more Kingdoms, each one vying for control. The borders would constantly be shifting, armies would be clashing in battle, and enemies would raid each other out there in the world whether the player witnesses it or not. The player's Kingdom would also be a target. If you constantly attack a neighboring Kingdom, your relationship with that Kingdom will decrease and they will be increasingly hostile towards you. They may even place a bounty on your head. If you attack one Kingdom, that Kingdom's ally may not like it. Or you might make allies with another Kingdom and work together towards a common goal (perhaps only to betray them later?). I could even see additions like personalized flavor text or flavor speach like what was seen in Shadow of Mordor. I see a system like this as one that would make use of many of the systems we've seen in previous games like the city management from AC2, the economy from AC3, Kenway's Fleet from AC4, or the things I mentioned in Odyssey. It would unify these systems into one cohesive vision that fits snugly within the game's setting. I think something of this sort is very likely. A closing note: some players may not want to participate in a system like this and simply experience the story. You don't want to do it? Then don't! You may miss out on advanced armor sets, large armies, and other things, but if you keep a small Kingdom it will be very easy to manage, and you can focus on exploring the world and playing the story missions. I don't think players would need to fear a system like this. Hopefully people think this sounds cool. I know I would have a blast with something like this, and I'm looking forward to AC: Kingdom. What do you hope to see in the game? [link] [comments] |
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey| Are stars multiplicative or addditive of each other? Posted: 25 Jan 2020 06:18 PM PST If I have +100% headshot damage and +100% crit damage and land a headshot critical do I do 400% damage or 300%? Where do I find blackbeard - the lost journal? Posted: 25 Jan 2020 04:42 PM PST I noticed a couple weeks ago that a book gad been released with black flag, it should be blackbeard - the lost journal or something like that. I really wanted to have a look at this book and read it as I have been with most of the other books. (Im a big fan of the series, played all main games and read most of the books and graphic novels) i know im mate to the party considering the book. Problem is im danish and as far as I know, blackbeard - the lost journal is not in stores in denmark, neither new nor used, spend the last couple days looking for it but cant find it anywere. Does anyone have any tips for me. Also the same goes for the abstergo employee handbook. Sorry if this is not the right place to ask, but im lost, been searching far and wide. [link] [comments] |

I promised myself to visit Istanbul after finishing every little stuff in Revelations. Such a great game, so interesting to see all the buildings I climbed [link] [comments] |
Regarding my hope for Ezio and Smash Posted: 25 Jan 2020 11:43 PM PST With the release of Smash X Altair(lol)/AC, my first thought was "Oh, okay, an Altair skin. But what about Ezio?" and it got me thinking.
TLDR; I hope he'll be leaping into Smash (ala Smash X Ezio). Please enlighten me; what are your thoughts on Ezio coming to smash? [link] [comments] |
Xenia's questline reward - AC Odyssey (SPOILER) Posted: 25 Jan 2020 02:10 PM PST After going on all of these treasure hunts for this chick I though I would get a cool set of armor, maybe a legendary weapon, or atleast a bunch of drachme but all you get is a couple grand for each one. I found the reward for that questline very anticlimactic and disappointing. For that whole questline you don't even get back the money you had to pay her for info on Myrrine. [link] [comments] |

Odyssey version for Blade of Yumminess + others Posted: 25 Jan 2020 06:43 PM PST Hi so I took a long break a week after the blade of yumminess was released along with the sun hat and two other legendary items. I wanna get back into the game and reinstalled them. Are those items still randomly available in merchants on the current version? Or should i get them before updating? I'm currently on 1.4.0 and the update is currently downloading. Thanks so much! [link] [comments] |
I get to play Assassin's Creed Origins, finally! Any tips and tricks to get started? Posted: 25 Jan 2020 07:48 AM PST Thanks to the generosity of a friend, I have access to the full game with all DLC. I did the very beginning portion of the same and stopped just after getting Senu to see if it worked. (Fun fact: did you know the recommended specifications for Origins is weaker than that for Syndicate? I avoided Origins for a while since Syndicate barely ran on my system, but nope, Origins runs smooth) Any (spoiler free) tips and tricks for progressing through the game? [link] [comments] |
Will Connor ever remove his hood if you wear Aguilar's outfit? (AC3 Remastered) Posted: 25 Jan 2020 06:36 AM PST Does Connor never remove his hood if you wear Aguilar's suit? I distinctly remember him having it off in some cutscenes, but now he keeps it always on. Am I just remembering things poorly, or he keeps it always on if you wear Aguilar's suit? And I assume that would be the case for all the legacy outfits. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Rod of Asklepios questions - AC Odyssey Posted: 25 Jan 2020 04:11 PM PST Just clearing some things up. It converts crit chance to damage but can't crit which renders any crit damage on your build useless right? Also, while this is equipped, it makes your 2nd equipped melee and your bow unable to crit aswell right? [link] [comments] |
Spent Helix Points and got nothing in return? Why? Posted: 25 Jan 2020 11:53 AM PST After beating the first part of AC Odyessy, they awarded 200 helixpoints. I got the small Drachmae pack (for 2000) and it didnt show up. It took the helix points but no drachmae. What's up with that? [link] [comments] |
more help for our tamed animals in Odyssey.. Posted: 25 Jan 2020 03:29 AM PST It would be nice if players could buy armour and even get the armour engraved for their tamed animals, if something could be created so instead of eagle vision you could see through your tamed animals eyes it would be great. ACiv:Black Flag savegame transfer from UPlay to Steam Posted: 25 Jan 2020 01:57 PM PST Hi everyone. I'm a PC player of Black Flag. I have had black flag on Uplay for a while but wanted to play it with Steam integrated features and it was on sale so I grabbed it. I have a savegame in UPlay and was wondering if anyone knows of a method for transferring said savegame to Steam. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Poison not killing enemies in Origins Posted: 25 Jan 2020 12:56 AM PST In my current playthrough of origins I want to really hone in on the stealth side of things and was hoping to use poison darts as a big part of that. But when I use them on enemies they never actually die no matter how long I leave them. It brings their health right down so one arrow or one hit from a melee weapon kills them but I'd much rather the poison did its work. I've put 8 points into master seer so far but it still isn't happening and I don't want to waste any more points in it if the poison still isn't going to kill them. I'm playing on nightmare with auto levelling so I don't know if that's why it's happening. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
