Happy AC Day! Ezio Auditore Da Firenze, Pencil, 2019.

Assassins Creed: Odyssey is an incredible game. Well done Ubisoft.

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 06:33 PM PST

    Well done Ubisoft.

Today I finished my Odyssey by completing the Fate of Atlantis DLC. I have to say Assassins Creed: Odyssey and it's DLCs nothing short of incredible. For the past year I've spent countless hours exploring Ancient Greek cities and settings brought to life in with Homeric detail. Travel across the beautiful and sometimes treacherous Mediterranean Sea. I've met legendary leaders, philosophers, generals, warriors and even gods. Fought legendary beasts. Visited mythical realms like Atlantis.

I don't know if any Ubisoft employees ever visit this sub but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the work you've done with Odyssey. You raised the bar Assassin's Creed: Origins and you've raised it again with Odyssey. Since the original release of Skyrim in 2011 there hasn't been a game to capture my imagination and attention the way Odyssey has over the past year. I can't wait to see what 2020 holds for the Assassins Creed IP. I know it'll be great.

Merry Christmas and well done. Sincerely, an avid fan

I enjoyed AC Odyssey, but if the next game doesn't take a step back from fantasy and mythology I'm just going to call it a day with this series I used to love.

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 10:03 AM PST

    I've really enjoyed AC Odyssey.

I just can't bring myself to finish the POE quest line. POEs used to be these amazing mysterious objects. Scenes where they appeared would send a tingle down my spine. Now they're just a cheap excuse to add mythological monsters that suck me out of the world and remind me I'm playing a video game.

I finished the family quest line, and I can already guess how the cultist quest line is going to end. So, as much as I enjoyed the game I just consider myself done with it. The more of the PEO quest line I play the less immersed I feel in the world.

If the next game doesn't reel this in significantly I just don't see myself caring about it.

    Happy Assassin’s Creed Day, friends

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 05:49 AM PST

I have no content to post to go along with this, but I wanted to wish all of you a happy Assassin's Creed Day. Today, in AC lore, was the projected End of the World. It is also the day other Desmond Mikes sacrificed himself to save the world. It was also the release of the AC movie.

Today I doesn't really mean anything. But for those of us who really love the series, it is the one day we can celebrate our love of the series.

It is a good life we lead, brothers. May it never change. And may it never change us.

What is fun in AC odyssey?

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 08:42 PM PST

Not sure if i played too many ac games but the formula is kind of getting stale for me. Heard many good things about AC odyssey, currently 9 hours in, after the first boat sailing expedition to the bigger land. For some reason don't feel like playing it anymore, feels like more grind? Does it get more fun later or is it still more of the same?

Please dear god bring back competitive multiplayer

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 11:35 PM PST

This has been beaten to death. I know. But I want it back. It was by FAR my favorite gaming experience of all time. I never understood the hate from the buT thIs iS a sinGle pLaYeR gAmE crowd, and I guess I never will, because I just had too much fun damned fun playing multiplayer. The community was growing at the time of ac4 until they obviously decided to cut the cord.

Yes, it had its flaws. But I believe if they released a polished version of the multiplayer, with adequate support and cleaner gameplay (better contract system, toning down the rooftop running, etc etc) there would be a huge amount of growth potential for that game, and the series as a whole. What's there to lose? What's the downside? Is it buT theN I cAnT gEt tHe AcHievMents? (Lol sorry, but the achievement segment was so stupid)

In the end just want the devs to know, that if you see this, there is a community out there and the multiplayer had potential. PLEASE bring it back down the line

Does anyone feel that Lucy being a templar agent the whole time to be disappointing

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 07:48 AM PST

It was a nice twist i guess but i really liked her character and her death would have actually met something. Finding out she was a triple agent really just ruined it.

    A Family's Legacy- Confusion

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 07:24 PM PST

This quest threw me for a loop. I recently bought the game, Ultimate edition, Which includes both DLC's. Well I just found my mother, and at the end her quest she's like "Alexios....Fuck off and find your dad. Sparta can wait"

So I did, I mean her quest is leveled at 31 and I'm 25, so I figured Id do it. I went through the mirrors and cave, and eventually got to the "Gates to the lost city" Local, and I was so mesmerized I didn't notice any of the water. Well i find my Old ass dad, and he said "Atlantis" and i thought I accidentally clicked on the Atlantis DLC quest instead, But now I'm Layla diving on the volcanic island.

Has anyone gotten confused like me? I hate doing DLC before the Main and I'm 99% sure I'm not but I cant check cause Tab just pulls up Laylas laptop.

Is there a way to turn off those photo icons on the map in AC Origins?

Is there a way to turn off the photo icons on the map? Some of them will say they are from my friends list and it just kind of kills the immersion

What about AC 17th century Holland?

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 02:38 AM PST

The Dutch golden age was a super interesting time, with an independece war/rebellion against the Spanish, the only free press in Europe printing pamphlets and books against totalitarian leaders (Templars hehe), a world-wide trade (the dutch went for trade posts instead of colonies at that time, though slaves were still involved of course) and interesting events like the Tulip craze (a big economic happening) and the political tensions in a sort-of democracy (yes! Before the French did it) that led to plenty of assassinations. Also there were tons of interesting people from painters like Vermeer, Rembrandt and Frans Hals to philosophers like Descartes and Spinoza and the inventor of the microscope, Anthony van Leeuwenhoek (and also our very own Da Vinci in Christiaan Huygens).

As for location I would suggest using the two current provinces of Holland which are quite small, but you can work them out in more detail than AC Odyssey did for Greece. Amsterdam as a huge city to explore must be amazing, with a lot of interesting settings and concepts. It was a free haven were everyone was welcome as long as they brought money, so there were people from all over the world who could do and believe what they pleased. Some claim that that was the birth of libertarianism. A traveller at the time once noted that even bakers had world class paintings hanging in there stores... and running around over the tiny Dutch staircases would be fun.

    AC Syndicate animus fragment help

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 04:54 PM PST

I know most of you probably haven't played this game in a while.... but the only thing standing between me and 100% sync is an animus fragment in the City of London district. I have probably been looking for it for the last 4 hours. I'm missing 1 and I can't find it anywhere. Does anymore remember a tough one to find? Or does anyone else happen to be playing right now who knows where a hard one is?

    The time period for Japan

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 03:47 PM PST

Most of the people who want a japan game just talk about the warring states period and nothing else. I feel like the end of the Edo period and into the Meiji period could be more interesting.

I would like to see a ac game around japan being opened up by to world(meiji restoration) .How the events of Syndicate affect the British templars influencing japan. Also the mix of industrialization and feudal Japan could be fun to see. It could start a bit before the US comes and finish at the end of the Meiji Period. You can see the rapid development of Japan as you progress.

At the time several counties where trying to get Japan under its influence. We could see different Templar factions trying to get the upper hand over each other.

Ubisoft Sofia (Rogue Devs) should made an AC again

    Posted: 21 Dec 2019 01:45 AM PST

Rogue was a pretty solid game and the first what was created by Ubisoft Sofia. I think the should get again a chance to create an AC Game.

Because they had limited time to create Rogue, where forced to reuse assets and to bring it to the old console generation. This was also at a time when we had the yearly releases and we all know how this hurt the quality of AC Games.

But imaging now giving them enough time to create an AC game how awesome this could be. They last time we hear something of them was in Origins where the worked on the Cyrene region. But they are an talented studio and should have the chance to create an new game on their own.
