[Cosplay] Synchronization point in real life by @cyperianworkshop

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 05:31 PM PST

Assassin's Creed would work much better as a TV show, similar to how the Witcher is being made by Netflix.

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 04:00 PM PST

I think it would be cool to get a multi season character arc that can really dig into the story and lore, especially giving us more modern day stuff as well as the past.

Should Jesper Kyd compose an soundtrack for Ac again?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 12:44 PM PST

Do you think Jesper Kyd should return and made again a Soundtrack for Assassins Creed?

Of course the composers after him did a really good job with their soundtracks but Jesper Kyd always had something that made his music "special". They still use Ezio Family as main theme for the series what was created by him.

Anyone have any sheet music for "Odyssey"?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 12:31 PM PST

"Legend of the Eagle Bearer" is everywhere you turn, and I've even seen tabs for "Barnabas" and "Phoibe the Orphan", but the title "Odyssey" makes it very hard to search for, and I haven't been able to find anything. It's a gorgeous song and I'd love to learn it.

In your opinion, what is the most tedious task you've ever had to complete to achieve 100% sync?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 05:22 PM PST

I've been going through my favorite games in the AC series recently, trying to 100% as many of them as I can, and it really is the long game that determines the quality of the side content and moment-to-moment gameplay. Something that has really stood out to me though is the number of boring or arbitrary tasks required to 100% the game.

And yeah, I know that the thousands of chests or animus fragments or feathers are a pain, but there are some tasks that really go above-and-beyond in terms of sheer tedium. Ones that really stand out are the Encyclopedia of the Common Man from AC3 (which right now is STILL bugged so that some of the events never spawn if you complete them in the wrong order), the Artifacts in Helix Rifts from Unity (who the hell thought it was a good idea to put Sonic 3D in Assassin's Creed? Sonic 3D isn't even good on it's own!), and even just the sheer number of side quests in Origins and Odyssey that all play out exactly the same.

What I wanted to know are what you guys believe to be the most boring tasks in these games that are required for 100% sync.

Which controls scheme do you prefer?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 11:55 PM PST

Do you guys prefer the new control scheme (the one with a lot of buttons like in syndicate or origins) or do you people prefer the legacy one (the one with combinations like in Brotherhood and Revelations)?

Is it possible to have more than 7 Master Assassin recruits assigned to every city in Mediterranean Defense?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 11:52 PM PST

I can't find an answer online, but I do know that a Master Assassin controlling a den can be placed in a city. I know each city has a maximum of 5 slots. I'm asking if I can place Master Assassins in a city, removing them as a Den leader in the process. Then gather another recruit to replace them in the Den. Any experience trying?

Why the Ezio episode is the best of the franchise even if the game was repetitive?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 05:03 AM PST

    1) we grew up with Ezio 2) we didn't know a lot of thing about the old civilization. So more suspens 3) The map was not too big. Its makes the map more cozy 4) The characters was charismatic (Ezio). ....

Increased % for getting legendary items from Olympian gifts?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 03:40 PM PST

Haven't played Odyssey for a few months but today I jumped in. And thought fuck it I'll buy some gear packs from the helix store (nearly all of them). Then while I was trying out my new gear I checked the message board and completed bounty on a Spartan ship because I did not have that ship design yet. I took my 40 orichalcum to Sargon to see if I get lucky with the Olympian gifts and I both of my gifts were legendary items the eagle harness and plumage of protection. So I'm wondering if now that there is no more new content coming to the game and it's lifespan has come to an end are they just giving out legendary items at Olympian gifts. If so I feel really stupid for the gear packs. well more stupid anyway as I realise its stupid to buy them in the first place.

This sub seems to love Black Flag and honestly I couldn't disagree more

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 08:17 AM PST

Disclosure, I'm not going to say it's the worst in the series by any means. In fact, I enjoyed it back when it came out. But upon finishing it, looking back from now, and over the years, I have found that it just was not great and I'm not sure why everyone loves it.

Mission variety was non-existant, so many "follow and evesdrop" missions. Holy god if I ever have to play another one it will be too soon. Combat was the same fight over and over again and you did the same things everytime you fought a ship. The only mildly interesting thing I can remember was the puzzles. Good shit there.

I didn't really connect with Edward at all. He was just another in what has become a long line of Ezio clones: wise cracking, smart ass, ladies man, who originally is only out for himself/personal reasons. Ezio however was far more likable to me, and far more enjoyable to play with. Edward just.. I don't even know how to quantify it, but I didnt connect with him at all. Honestly that fat chubby guy you meet was more fun. Characters in general were pretty good, but Edward just never spoke to me until the end. I will give the game that, the ending was sad as shit and I loved the scene where he looks at his comrades at the table.

I couldn't tell you one thing about that story and that's after 2.5 playthroughs. It was dumb for most of the actual assassins story line. I know modern day is hated on but just for good measure, the modern day sucked.

I'm seriously glad people can find enjoyment in something I can't. But I just never understood the multitudes of praise and adoration that followed it. I loved Connor and thought he was much more of an interesting character than Edward. I could write a whole post about how much I loved 3 and Connor. But another day perhaps.

Will say though, multiplayer in 4 was amazing and I wish they would bring that back.

AC: Odyssey - Best Builds While Leveling?

    Posted: 06 Nov 2019 04:55 AM PST

So I'm a taaaad bit late to the party with Odyssey but I'm really glad I decided to pick it up, such a good game. Having said that... I've opted to go with a Warrior build thus far, my rationale being that I wanted the ability to brawl when things got out of hand and I was outnumbered, or when fighting one really strong opponent where I wouldn't have the option/luxury of approaching from afar with sniper shots or assassinating from stealth.

Then I go online and do a tiny bit of research on 'best builds' and it seems most people seem to recommend hunter builds. What I can't decipher though is if these recommendations apply for all levels (I'm only level 19 right now) or if they are for the most optimal builds at high level/end-game content?

I swapped to a hunter build at one point just to test it out and I was easily overwhelmed when engaged upon by multiple enemies + mercenaries. Do hunters have a way of dealing with this effectively? What abilities would I take? Am I perfectly fine just staying with a warrior-heavy build? So far I've taken mostly warrior abilities with only devastating shot/predator shot (trying to decide which I like more) from the Hunter skills along with the one that grants +20% hunter dmg. Then from the assassination tree I took the one that allows for assassinations+knockouts along with critical assassinations.

The skills I equip for warriors are typically either the AOE stun or Bull Rush to be used when I'm overwhelmed and need to break things up or when I need to drop the guard of enemies, Spartan Kick for use near elevation or to recruit people to my ship when I get them low enough, Heal, and Fire.
