Can we get an Arno outfit for the siege of Paris DLC, please? Posted: 26 Jul 2021 06:46 AM PDT Since the DLC is set in Frankia, I am 100% sure there will be lots of connections with AC Unity in story and that would be hella cool. But what's cooler is adding an Arno Outfit for the DLC. I think this will happen. No one expected AC origins outfits in Wrath of the druids DLC. But yet we got 2 outfits from that game. So I hope siege of Paris DLC gets an Arno outfit. Also it would be cool if we get the basic outfit, Fearless outfit, and Master Assassin outfit as the same outfits but in different qualities. How difficult is stealth in the Ezio collection? Posted: 26 Jul 2021 09:36 PM PDT I have played new AC games like Odyssey, Valhalla where stealth can be optional. I want to purchase the Ezio collection but how important or difficult is stealth in earlier games. Will you fail a mission if you can't do it in a specific or expected way? [link] [comments]

Some History Behind the Sigrblot Festival Posted: 26 Jul 2021 08:02 AM PDT The word Sigrblot means Victory Sacrifice. The focus is often on the anticipation of voyages, conquests (cough cough, Siege of Paris*) as well as trade. In his Norse Mythology: A Guide to the Gods, Heroes, Rituals, and Beliefs (2001), John Lindow writes that "the summer ceremony, if it was for victory, would coincide with the departure of ships on raiding (and, more mundanely, trading) voyages." In the sagas, characters would often use this time to boast about accomplishments they planned to make, and to recruit followers. And well, drink to oblivion, but that should go without saying. It signifies the coming of new adventures and glorious triumphs. So lets hope this update isn't full of bugs. I have videos on the other seasons/ festivals in the game if you found any of this interesting in the slightest: https://youtube.com/watch?v=dD53LQrl2aA&t=36s [link] [comments]
I would like to hear some general opinions. Posted: 27 Jul 2021 12:26 AM PDT My first ever AC game was odyssey, and I loved it. I then tried origins and valhalla and neither were my cup of tea. I'm getting into AC 3 Remastered a little bit, but there is currently a sale on xbox for some of the other games. I'm wondering if anyone here thinks that black flag, syndicate, and unity are worth 22 bucks together to try them out, or if the ezio collection is a better collection to try for <15. One thing i don’t miss from the old games: chase sequences Posted: 26 Jul 2021 04:18 AM PDT These are almost always the worst of their respective games. Either the timing is way too tight before the target "gets away" or the requirement to dive into them feels like you're too far away the entire time to get it to trigger. And I'm gonna go ahead and group "Races" from AC2 (and I think Brotherhood) as well because it's the same thing with the same problem. It's basically you vs a godly Olympic level gymnast (that is also a generic peasant somehow). The Tunnel chases in Brotherhood are the only thing stopping me from getting a full sync. Multiple flags in each AND you can't get "too far" from the target or they "escape" (even though each tunnel ends in a fight anyways so lol they can't escape). Add in multiple enemies throwing things at you to stop you from platforming and you have an awful time guaranteed. [link] [comments]
Help I Can't Use My Rations!!! Posted: 26 Jul 2021 11:52 PM PDT I'm playing AC Valhalla/Wrath of the Druids, and I can't use my rations!! I can heal using items in the environment (mushrooms, berries, etc.) but when I try to use my collected rations the icon flashes red. I can't figure out if it's a debuff or an effect of a piece of armor or a weapon. Anyone else come across this issue?? [link] [comments]
Playing over Assassin’s Creed II a few times, I’ve found myself liking Ezio a bit more. Posted: 26 Jul 2021 09:07 AM PDT Aside from a lot annoying occurrences and missions Assassin's Creed II is a fun game to play. I also have found myself liking Ezio a bit more than I did before. Now, am I saying that he's becoming my favorite? No. My favorite is still Connor, purely because I liked his story, and nostalgia plays a heavy factor. As it does for mostly everybody in the AC community. I still think that Ezio's story in ACII is kinda cliched, however, Brotherhood does kinda shed that and does something interesting. And Revelations' story does have its awkward/cringeworthy moments, but the parts with the keys, Altaïr, the Templars, etc. really do stand out. Ezio's story starts to get good once Brotherhood comes in, and becomes thoroughly enjoyable. TL;DR, Ezio is starting to rise through my rankings of protagonists in the series. [link] [comments]
Valhalla’s recreation of “Lethal Difficultly” with 7/27 Scaling Update Posted: 26 Jul 2021 10:16 AM PDT From today's patch notes for scaling:
Valhalla's difficultly: Skald (easy): enemy damage and resistance reduced Vikingr (default): balanced Beserkr (hard): a solid but fair combat challenge Drengr (very hard): intense combat for the ultimate warrior. Enemy health and damage increased. Ghost of Tsushima's Lethal Difficulty has high damage for both the player and the enemy. How can we replicate this for Valhalla's difficulty and new scaling? At the very beginning of Valhalla, should I turn on Level Scaling? Posted: 26 Jul 2021 07:44 PM PDT So the new update for Valhalla introduces level scaling. Constant: World enemies remain the same level as you are. Harder: World enemies are 20 level above you. Nightmarish: World enemies are significantly higher leveled. As a gamer that beat the Ninja Gaiden and Dark Souls games I'm used to hard difficulty games. I'm wondering in Valhalla are you supposed to plow through enemies like a god like that's how the game is designed or did you guys that beat the game find it too easy after a certain point? I remember in Odyssey and Origin after a certain point I just basically ran into camps one shooting everything. Right now I have the battle mechanics set to the highest. I'm wondering should I turn the level scaling on and if I do should I put it at constant, harder or nightmarish? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jul 2021 07:38 PM PDT I haven't played an assassin's Creed game in years and after seeing the trailer for his assassin's Creed Valhalla I knew I had to play it. But recently I heard that assassin's Creed Valhalla is supposed to take place in its own universe and it's not a part of the main assassin's Creed games. Did they Branch off from the original story? Is this basically a whole other gam in a different universe? What about games like Odyssey and so on? Is there even a story still? If someone could please explain to me what has happened up until this point it would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]
Best game for a first time player? Posted: 26 Jul 2021 03:35 AM PDT What, in your opinion, is the best game to start with? The logical answer would of course be the first game, but I'm looking for something for my mother who's never played anything. She's in a difficult place in her life and I thought maybe we could connect this way, maybe she could try this new thing. I know it's a large franchise and not the easiest either, but maybe… Maybe this would help. Any suggestions are very welcome. [link] [comments]

AC Valhalla is probably one of the top 3 AC games Posted: 26 Jul 2021 11:02 AM PDT Honestly, I love this franchise. It was the first story game franchise I got into back in middle school, and I have played almost every single game except the very first one. I have to say, even though I am a big fan of the old game style, I am happy it has been retired. I loved Origins but the level system just felt shitty and non rewarding at all. It felt annoying to have to always stop to level weapons or yourself just to progress the mission. However, Origins was great because it had such an outstanding story, such a loveable protagonist and such a great world, but like I said, overall it did feel like a chore at times just to make it through. Odyssey was even worse than that. Honestly, the only reason I played Odyssey and actually enjoyed it was because of the greek stuff worked into it. Outside of that I genuinely disliked the game a lot. It felt empty, but too full at the same time. Within two hours of playing that game I felt like I was playing a chore. The ship travel was honestly so bad. Overall everything about Odyssey besides the leads and the greek myths was genuinely not enjoyable for me. That brings us to Valhalla. Honestly, I have almost put 20 hours in to the game over these past two days (Yay no life!) and I have loved and enjoyed every single second of it. It has never felt once like a chore to play Valhalla and it has an interesting story for both the brotherhood and outside of that. I genuinely cannot get enough of this game. I can see myself actually trying to complete everything in this game, which is something I rarely, ever do. I normally just play and then not touch it again but this game is a game I actually see just not dropping. Decorating my town is just so amazing and fun, raiding is nice, combat feels so good in this game, the new leveling and weapon/armor leveling system is so perfect that in the next game I hope it is not changed at all. It feels like through Odyssey and Origins they were trying to figure out what they wanted to do and they finally nailed it. Sure the game has its bugs here and there and it is not perfect, but it has to be my favorite in the franchise. [link] [comments]

The Rebel Collection Switch or Black Flag Wii U Posted: 26 Jul 2021 07:18 PM PDT I currently own both Black Flag on the Wii U and The Rebel Collection on my Switch. I am finally nearing my completion with Assassin's Creed III: Remastered. The Rebel Collection on the Switch is it remastered as well? Once I complete Assassin's Creed III I'm unsure which version of those two to begin. Should I go with Wii U or Switch version, out of both which is a better experience overall? Thank you! Would level scaling allow me to skip straight to Siege of Paris when it comes out? Posted: 26 Jul 2021 09:17 AM PDT I didn't play Wrath of the Druids because it didn't interest me in any way and the middling reviews I saw didn't change my mind. With the new level scaling, will I be able to skip it? And go straight to SoP? I didn't even make it past 280 power before beating the entire Order tree. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jul 2021 01:29 PM PDT Altair in Assassin's Creed I was voiced by an actor named Philip Shahbaz. Though he is part Middle Eastern, he chose to use an American accent for the game, which I honestly didn't have a problem with since the idea was the Abstergo Animus was filtering out your ancestors' accent. Plus, it fit in line with male characters back in the early-2000s who had deep, slightly-gravelly voices like JC Denton, Master Chief, and of course Solid Snake. I thought it was clear that Shahbaz and director Patrice Desilets were going for a more archetypal take on the assassins, them being these monotonous, cold individuals who do their task diligently and swiftly. Shahbaz played that part well, but never went full-monotone: he still displayed plenty of emotion during the confessions and eventual confrontation with Al Mualim. Anyway, what are your guys' thoughts on him as the iconic Altair? [link] [comments] |
