I hope we get to bury some sword fragments in AC: Valhalla so Shay can dig them up in 900 years

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 07:26 PM PST

as well as possibly using the Viking armor and sword/dagger from AC: Rogue but since there won't be one-handed swords I'm doubtful but that would be cool I think

From a tie over game to the hype train.

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 09:50 PM PST

So before I was only getting valhalla to tie me over until cyberpunk came out i watched the leaks months ago and maybe some snippets here or there. Really i just thought oh yeah more of odyssey (I had fun with odyssey but to be honest it was my least favourite of the franchise) so because of that I kinda just tuned out of the all the news except maybe a snippet here or there.

Now since the delay of cyberpunk I thought fuck it ill do a mad binge of valhalla and get caught up and holy shit does it look good.

So many sick features and returning favourites...

hair and tattoo customisation, all gear is unique and upgradeable, duel wielding, one hit assassinations, social stealth, revamped hunting, mini games and fishing. Having to find assassin gear in old bureau ruins! Not to mention assassin contracts.

Some of the combat abilities you get are mad cool, like the running tackle and the ground and pound.

The world looks like it'll be actually fun to explore with more unique looking locations, which was one of the reasons I didn't like odyssey.

Lets just say for me valhalla went from a tie over game to a game im hyped as fuck about. Ive been a fan since the very beginning ive played every single assassins creed that's come out. I remember watching the trailers on TV for the first game when I was a kid and being excited as fuck. This game is giving me those same feelings I once had for the franchise and I cannot wait.

is anyone else in the same long ship as me and has had a change of heart on the game?

Where does this franchise go after Valhalla?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 07:28 PM PST

It's official that this is the last Layla game. Where does the story go from here, they can't use the excuse that the world is gonna end again because cmon that's stupid. Are we just gonna get stand alone games with random settings and story's that have nothing to do with series? Are ubi gonna pull a call of duty and reboot the series like cod did with modern warfare? Where does this franchise go after Valhalla?

    One-handed swords in Ac Valhalla

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 05:13 PM PST

I mean who decided ro remove the most classic weapon of all time? A basic one handed sword, our enemies use them and we can't? This doesn't make any sense. We can't do the classic sword and shield combo,oh boy.

There won't be one handed swords in AC Valhalla

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 02:17 PM PST

Hello everyone, I made a post a while back asking if there will be one handed swords and the majority of comments said yes, but it has just been confirmed that there won't be one-handed swords but rather being able to one-hand a two-handed sword with the dual wielding skill.

Proof: https://twitter.com/BenoitRicher/status/1319030921480294408?s=19 and JorRaptors newest video

The only swords we have now are fast paced (daggers) and slow paced (two handed swords) swords. I guess the normal paced sword (one handed sword) was replaced with the one handed axe. I usually never use swords anyways but the additional option would've been nice

EDIT: Someone mentioned "This doesnt confirm you cant have one handedd swords, it only confirm without dual wield even one handed swords will be used with both hands"
Not very sure about that but it makes sense when looking at what Benoit said exactly.

Pretty excited for Valhalla, made some holographic stickers, what do you think? :D

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 02:29 AM PST

I think they fixed the dodging issue (Valhalla)

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 08:20 AM PST

A new 30 minute video leaked for the release version of valhalla and I saw some combat, dodging distance seems to have been made shorter, similar to origins + facial animations look slightly better than the ones we saw, good news I guess..

    upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla Manga

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 06:31 AM PST

So the investor call stated they may be supporting post launch for Valhalla for a longer period than Odyssey. Where would you like to see possible late 2021 or early 2022 expansions go?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 11:06 AM PST

    1. Russia - Would be my first pick. Just to get that sweet Slavic mythology and culture.
    2. Silk Road - A Journey to the East type expansion, exploring central Asian cultures.
    3. Wales - Would be nice to see another Celtic region after Ireland in the game. Wales is Brittonic Celtic which is quite different to the Gaelic cultures of Ireland and Scotland.
    4. Greenland - Exploring the more arctic inuit, their mythology and perhaps elements of the pre-inuit Dorset culture.

Having a Norse protagonist and the Viking age setting is great because they can literally go to so many varied regions.

After raiding a castle, will they be avaible to be raided again later on?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 11:49 PM PST

I guess we just raid the loot, take their resources but we do not actually conqueor their lands. So after a while will these castles be fixed and reinforced again to be raided later on?

I kinda would love to be able to do that.

Got Gf's Son into Assassin's Creed!

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 08:40 AM PST

Don't know if this belongs here, but just wanted to share my excitement. I built myself a new gaming PC. My old gaming PC was built by a friend of mine for me a few years ago. Now that I have built my own myself, and feel confident in building, I took my old one and updated some parts and gifted it to my gf's son for his bday. His Bday is a week away. So while he was at his dad's this past weekend, we went and got a desk and set up his battlestation in his room while he was gone.

After I had built my new PC I've gone through and been replaying some of the older AC games. He got interested in them and I've been letting him play Black Flag on my PC. On top of me rebuilding the old PC for his Bday, I got him AC2, Brotherhood, 3 Remastered and of course Black Flag for him to play on his own. He was super surprised on Sunday, and I'm excited I've not only added a new member to the PCMR, but also another AC fan.

Will there be an Aztec Game?

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 11:45 AM PST

I think that this is a great idea. It totally makes sense as well. They are going strong with the common theme of strongly mythological cultures and starting what could be a tribes trend. The Aztec have a sun festival every time there is an eclipse, so that could be a thing, and it's also quite gritty (apocalypto). Mayan Temples, Dense Jungles, and Massive Tribes. Imagine sneaking through the dense shrubbery and through an outpost of another tribe, taking them out from the trees, taming all rainforest animals. This could also look absolutely beautiful. I think this could be an awesome step forward for the series. Hope they find a way to tie it into the story! What do you think will be next, or do you agree with me?
