Dumbest Off Limits Areas in Series

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 10:34 AM PDT

Have there been any areas that were high security or off limits areas in the series that you think shouldn't have been?

For me it's always been the public spaces like churches, temples, markets and squares. I mention these since everyone else is walking around just fine but as soon as we walk in suddenly the guards want to kill us for being there.

I'm also playing Fate of Atlantis and I'm questioning why there's any off limit areas in Atlantis at all since you're assigned as Poseidon's right hand woman/man so we should be able to wander around a quarry or a military barrack if we wanted to.

    Any others that surprised you?

Caution, if you are buying a disc-less next gen console and you have a physical copy of Valhalla, you won’t be able to get a free next-gen copy for free

This is one of the things i like about Valhalla

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 12:40 PM PDT

Had to repost to change the title

first i adds spoiler in case some have decided not to look at anything until game is out you know what the best thing is for me with this i matched the games map up with real life map and part of hampshire where the town i live in fareham is in the game. So is the isle of white well my town wont exactly be in it but i t looks like i mite be able to go to that area at least.

My town started off as a saxon village called Ferne Ham so i think is around that era well even if there is nothing there and the landscape is not exact same still happy. Here is a pic of the in game map they showed us i marked in a red dot and black arrow where fareham should be around.

AC Unity has been given a bad reputation, but it should be given a second chance by those who haven't considered it

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 02:39 PM PDT

So I know that one of the main gripes with Unity is the plethora of bugs within the game. I played it on release and recently replayed it and didn't experience any bugs or glitches that took away from the experience. I think people should give it another shot, because this game really is one of the best in the series. From the insane parkour that had never been seen in the series before, to the story that was good enough, the historical characters, the setting and graphics, and the character customization, this game was really great. This is really the last AC title that felt like a true Assassins Creed game. For those of you who are true fans of this series, Unity should be a great experience. Feel free to let me know if there were things other than the bugs that made you dislike the game. For me, it easily makes my top 5.

Replaying AC Odyssey and I noticed something

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 12:03 PM PDT

When I originally played, I didn't see anything wrong with the characters, but now that I'm replaying, their eyebrows rarely move, and it makes it look like the mouths are the only thing moving. What's up with that?

    How about another Templar game?

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 06:37 PM PDT

Okay, I'm currently playing AC Rogue and I'm really enjoying it. It's cool to get to see how the other side operates, the gameplay tweaks are interesting, and the story is really good. I like how the game isn't really portraying Shay and the Templars as bad people. Shay didn't become a Templar for selfish reasons, but rather because he thinks it's the right thing to do, and I find that kind of endearing. Now, as much as I'm liking Rogue, one thing is certain: it's kind of a budget title. It was initially released on last gen hardware, it was shorter than usual for an AC game, and a good chunk of it was made with recycled assets. It feels less like it's own game and more like a mega DLC for Assassins Creed 4. If I could compare it to anything, it's kind of like what Fallout New Vegas was to Fallout 3. I'm pretty sure Ubisoft did this because they knew the idea might be a risk and could fail. Regardless, I kind of want them to take another stab at the concept. I want a big budget, fully fleshed out, fully realized Templar game. I want a Templar game that feels like it's own beast. Maybe they could even do a thing where you have two protagonists that you alternate from, one Templar and the other Assassin, giving you two perspectives on the same conflict. What are your thoughts?

does anyone know why the modern time story ended up being such a mess?

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 05:54 PM PDT

I just replayed the Ezio trilogy and the modern story is in my opinion built up super well - it's engaging and trippy as fuck. So why did it end up completely falling apart in AC 3 and forward? Did they just not have any idea what they were doing it or was it the result of some executive meddling? i seriously don't get it

The regions in Valhalla and which kingdoms they should belong to.

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 11:45 AM PDT

So I study history and I specifically love the viking age, and I was able to track down the regions in Valhalla and which kingdoms they should historically belong to: 1. Hamtunscir, Suth Seaxe and Cent all belong to The Kingdom of Wessex 2. Lunden and Essexe should also belong to the Kingdom of Wessex, but this depends on how the game developers interpret history, seeing as Lunden and Essexe was heavily raided by vikings and was Lunden was taken by the vikings in 865, Essexe remained mostly in West Saxon hands till 878. 3. East-Anglia will belong to the kingdom of East-Anglia. 4. Oxenfordascire aswell as grantabrycgscir and Ledecastiscire sould belong to the vikings, around a year into the games story. 5. Glowcesterescire and Sciropescire aswell as Snotingahamscire will belong to the Kingdom of Mercia, note the number 4's regions also belonged to mercia, but was overrun by the vikings. 6. Lincolniscire aswell as Eurvisciere will also belong to the vikings. We dont have any map info of the northern regions, but we can assume that Eoferwic will be a region, so thus will also be a viking controlled region.

This was just my breakdowns of the regions in the game, but this will probably be mostly wrong except for numbers 1 and 2 aswell as 5 and the viking ones, so maybe all of them are right!, but the developers should have this right, cuz they reaearch their history.

Anyway, hope you guys found this helpful/entertaining, if you want to find out more about these kingdoms, I highly suggest looking them up and reading about them, especially Wessex.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations 5/7 locked dens.

    Posted: 19 Sep 2020 06:16 PM PDT

I am playing AC Revelations and I have locked 5 assassin dens, however, I have several level 10 assassins which should be ready to be promoted to master assassins for the remaining two dens to be locked, but the mission for their master training is not popping up on the map. Why?
