Assuming the next AC will be a viking setting, what would you want the Protagonist to be like? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 09:30 PM PST Id probably go for a guy that resembles the classic viking stereotype, tall, hunky lad with blonde hair that starts the game in his early 20s and visibly ages over the story, not really sure on personality though, maybe an angry asshole who matures and becomes more likeable. I also like the name Arnbjorn (Eagle-Bear) since it fits with the theme of main characters being named after avians and by adding an 'er' on the end of Bear, you get "Eagle Bearer". Why isn’t the hidden blade on top? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 08:02 PM PST So this is just something I thought of. I know how the blade works with the mechanism being triggered by the tendon that runs through the forearm. But if it's such a hazard that part of initiation require you to remove your middle finger so that it isn't in the way, why couldn't they just figure out how to get it to work on the top of the arm? Its possible because the phantom blades in unity use the same mechanism. Is there some advantage to it being under your arm? It just seems like poor judgement, which I guess makes perfect sense anyway. [link] [comments]

Discovery Tour on legacy AC titles Posted: 19 Feb 2020 11:33 PM PST One really great feature of Origins and Odyssey is the discovery tour. A guided exploration of these historic cities independent of the games plot is a real treat. I was thinking how this feature could be added onto older AC titles, and what modifications could be made therein ( like a tour through Current and Renaissance Florence). What do you all think? Would this be a feature you would pay to buy a new release of these titles? [link] [comments]
Assassins Creed Odyssey button mapping file location? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 11:27 PM PST For accessibility reasons I'm trying to find the file where the user's keyboard control scheme is stored. Hoping this will allow me some greater control with trying to get this game to work with my limited mobility. Mainly want to see if you can apply the hold functionality to other buttons (other than those preset), so that one button can do two things. So basically, anyone know where it is? Thank-you [link] [comments]
Idea for an Assassins Creed in Judea during the 1st Century Posted: 19 Feb 2020 11:25 PM PST So obviously we play as a hidden one in Judea (can be Roman or Jew) I would rather have a roman Assassin that wants to stop the proto Templar order in Judea. Map: all of Judea, with some missions in Rome or another parts of the empire. Gameplay: like Origins with no super human abilities, maybe the builds and separate parts for armour from Odyssey are good, but no choices, and more cutscenes (I really missed them in Odyssey) Story: The proto templars are in search for a very powerful piece of eden, the ark of the covenant, they realize that there is a lot of self-claimed Messiahs in Judea so they see that as an opportunity to create a new religion that would unite the whole empire under one Religion so they can controle it in an easier way, (exactly what Constantine did centuries after) so they found a young man from Nazareth that can be used as a puppet, so they give him an apple of eden so he can perform miracles, later on they realize the young man is actually a good guy and cares for the people, so they order them to kill him, later on the young man followers revive him with another piece of Eden, that does end with the start of a new religion but not the one the proto templars wanted. The assassins bureau from Rome hears about the proto templars plan and send one to Judea, that way you will go and meet Jesus and his followers, even tho he doesn't like that you kill but you defend the innocent so you are friends with him, after they killed him you begin with your revenge, meanwhile, you continue defending the ark of the covenant in the Jewish Temple, so you found a Assassin Bureau there, during that you found out why the ark is so important, inside of it is kind of a portal to the Isu world (that's why Moses came back older and older every time). At the end of the game you kill all the proto templars and you reunite with Jesus, he says that he is disappointed at you for killing yet he forgives you because, well he's Jesus. At the end you return to Rome knowing that the ark is safe (Untill the sack and destruction of the temple 40 years later, but that's another story) Dlc: the first one could be about the Assassins moving to Masyaf, founding a big bureau there, (connecting the hidden ones with the Assassins of Altair a great way to explain why they are there in AC1, I know that's not the historical reason but this could be cool) The second Dlc would be you going to the portal in the ark going to an actual Isu city, no simulations like Odyssey but a real Isu city, so the portal is actually a wormhole that let's you timetravel. What do you guys think about it, would you like it? Would you change something? [link] [comments]
Assassins Creed and Prince of Persia Crossover Posted: 19 Feb 2020 11:17 PM PST So here's an idea for a future AC title, but also a Prince of Persia crossover. So the only reason that Assassin's Creed exists is because the creator, Patrice Désilet came up with the idea of next Prince of Persia game called Prince of Persia: Assassin, where the Prince this time would be young and he would be protected by an assassin. But Ubisoft scrapped this idea and dropped the Prince portion and made Assassin's Creed it's own game. Both franchises are similar so it makes sense to have the crossover. So here's the premise: The Templars come across a broken Dagger of Time, broken from the end of Prince of Persia The Two Thrones, which is actually an Isu item, but it's empty of sand, so it's useless. Kaileena, who is the empress of time, is actually an Isu, and has disappeared. They reveal another Isu item, which repairs the Dagger, and in the process, creates sands of time, which suddenly distorts the world around them and they disappear to the past in Babylon. This will be set with Altaïr as the protagonist and is set sometime during his absence from the Brotherhood. Kaileena appears to Altaïr because he's been in contact with an Isu item before and has enough Isu DNA to wield an item. She tells him what's happening and how the Templars with the sands of time are tampering with the timeline. She tells him how they repaired the dagger with an Isu items and needs him to go into the past to destroy this item. She teleports him to around the time of the end of Prince of Persia the Two Thrones, and notices the world there in chaos with Sand creatures. There, he encounters the prince, who is familiar with the dagger of time and other items. In some levels they collaborate. But I imagine this type of game as playing two different perspectives of the same story, and any encounters with the Prince and Altaïr involves collaboration in some aspect. If you played Sonic Adventure 2, it had multiple characters and you play a different perspective of the same story for each character. So imagine playing both. The Templars are trying to kill the prince because he's a threat to them. And Altaïr is sent to the past to protect the prince but also destroy the Isu item that repaired the dagger and caused all this trouble in the first place. But I also imagine seeing you and the prince being flung through time in different eras, like imagine Altaïr encountering Desmond or Edward or Ezio. I also imagine 2 player gameplay where you and a friend play as the prince and Altaïr in co-op. But yeah. Doesn't have to go this way. But what do you think? [link] [comments]
AC3 - Original Gamer trophy question Posted: 19 Feb 2020 10:44 PM PST Does it have to be exclusively at homestead? Does beating morris in boston not count toward the trophy? Reverand timothy is dirty cheating fucking scumbag and deserve to go to hell I am literally about to throw up because of how disgusting AI is ... [link] [comments]
Am I supposed to be confused? (Origins) Posted: 19 Feb 2020 06:45 PM PST I'm playing through origins on the first mission and all the sudden I'm just killing people on a list and I don't know why? Is this just part of the story that will be revealed? [link] [comments]
When will we get some official stuff regarding AC “Kingdom”? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 04:03 PM PST It seems likely that it will be releasing this year so it's fair to assume that we should be seeing the game soon. Will they show it at PS5 incoming event? What do y'all think? [link] [comments]
Kodros the Bull cultist is not giving me his clue. (Odyssey) Posted: 19 Feb 2020 02:09 PM PST I killed Kodros the Bull, a Cultist, but I didn't get his clue for the Sage of the Delian League. In 'Related Items' it only has the Job Offer clue. I did get his armour piece, but no clue. He was killed by a group of soldiers and the game did not make me confirm the Cultist kill, have I done something wrong or is this some weird bug? If it's any help, I'm at Episode 7 and I'm about to do the mission 'The Paros Blockade'. [link] [comments]
What content do I miss out on by not getting the gold edition of Black Flag? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 05:34 PM PST I usually buy the most expensive editions of games, but the triple pack (Black Flag, Unity, Syndicate) is on sale on PSN right now. If I get the season pass for Black Flag will I be missing out on anything I would get if I got the gold edition instead? Also, are the season passes for Unity and Syndicate worth it? I platinumed Odyssey which made me decide to play through the whole AC series since I never have. AC3, Black Flag, and Origins are the ones I'm really looking forward to and will want all the content for but I'll still play every game. Already beat the Ezio collection. Thanks for your help. Posted: 19 Feb 2020 02:59 PM PST I went to Firenze last summer, and was expecting to see references to AC everywhere. To my surprise, not one shop had any AC merchandise at all. There wasn't the slightest hint that the greatest AC game was set in this city . No t-shirts, no souvenirs, no menu items, nothing. Still not sure how I feel about that. [link] [comments]
You are being hunted by an Assassin, how do you avoid being killed? Posted: 19 Feb 2020 02:52 AM PST So, let's say you are tremendously wealthy but the means you acquired this goes against the goals of the Assassins so you are now a target of an Assassin. As you are probably aware, having more guards doesn't necessarily make you safer. Based on your knowledge of the franchise how would you stay safe? Unlike the game, the Assassin can't just reload the last save on death. [link] [comments]
