Do you think that Ubisoft shot themselves in the foot by stablishing the Origins of the Assassin Brotherhood only in 49 BCE?

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 06:49 PM PST

Like, literally, we have at least 4,000-5,000 years of history before that and the order (even with Proto-Assassins and Proto-Templars) only came to be in 49BCE? It feels like a wasted opportunity. You could've had a reinassance/rediscovery of the Order with Bayek and still not make it as if the Assassins hadn't existed before.

Just my two cents, that is.

An Underrated aspect of Assassin's Creed III's Social Stealth - Interactive Blending

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 10:36 AM PST

One thing AC3 did with its social stealth that I feel no one talks about is including actual interactions by Connor. In previous and post AC games, all your character did to blend was just stand, the only exception being benches where they obviously sat.

However, there are many blend positions in AC3 that had Connor change his stance or even interact. He sits on barrels and fences, there are certain groups he can be seen talking to when blending in, in one of the slums he'll sit cross legged, at a marketplace he'll cross his arms and admire the wares, between two guys leaning against a wall he'll bow his head down, etc....

I'm sure I'm missing some, but it was a great thing they put in the game that was unfortunately removed in the follow-ups (I think only the 2 person wall blend was kept).

If they ever bring back social stealth in the AC series, I'd like to see them bring back the active interactions.

What’s everyone’s favourite game in terms of combat? And how do they feel about the direction the team is taking combat in the series?

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 09:08 AM PST

Personally I feel like the series peaked with Unity (unpopular opinion I know.) I felt like it harkened back to the difficulty of the first and second games, where you'd use it only as a last resort. Thus making it much more rewarding. Although, I concur with other players that this sacrifices the fluidity of the combat we experienced in Black Flag/3/Rogue.

However, I also think that the combat in Brotherhood and Revelations did justice to the narrative; showing that Ezio became more proficient as he became more experienced throughout the years.

Still not too sure of my standing on the direction the series is taking at the moment. Despite having finished the last two games. Though I understand that Ubi felt the need to revamp every aspect of the games, I still hold hope that games to come will try and find a middle ground between the styles of Unity and Odyssey.

Obviously this is just my opinion, would love to hear all your thoughts too!

Assassin's Creed black flag running like crap

    Posted: 05 Nov 2019 12:13 AM PST

Pls help, i dont know if this is the right place to post this but seems like no one would reply on the forum.

I tried everything that google searches offered, the fps is stuck at 20-50 all the time, on all settings. I tried D3Doverrider triple buffering and screwing with task manager, but the game will always keep the same fps. My specs are: Intel Xeon 5650 - 12gb ram - rx 570 8gb - windows 10 pro. Any suggestions you might offer?

btw i played Unity on this PC and its 55-90 fps on high so idk whats wrong with Black flag.

    Looking back towards Origins

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 11:47 PM PST

And I still don't know what Khemu said to Bayek in the Field of Reeds. Even the google machine has let me down in this respect. I think it's even more annoying because Bayek talks to the Seer, talks to Aya, talks to people about his vision and never even acknowledges the exchange. I spent a good portion of the game scouring for this, and after. In the voice actor for Bayek's AMA, he said he had an answer but wanted to hear the internet's ideas first, and as far as I could glean there was never an exchange past that. Plz internet, grant me your boon.

    Ezio’s Trilogy Soundtrack (my story)

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 07:11 PM PST

I'm not sure how many times people have posted things like this but I'n guessing a lot, with good reason of course, the soundtracks from Ezio's trilogy are out this world. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys, i first played Assassins Creed 2 back in 2013, it's almost been seven years! Time flies. Times where less stressful then and life was less taxing. Anyways, I remember playing an hour into the game, I immediately fell in love with it. I think for me one it's most important and amazing aspects was it's soundtrack, it really brought me into the world that was 15th century Florence and the two sequels which follows it did the exact same thing. Till this day, I listen the soundtracks daily, when I'm sad, upset, happy and having some deep reflections. The music is so profound. Some of my favourite soundtracks are Leonardos Inventions (pt.1), Tour of Venice, Sanctuary, Venice Industry and Night Mission in Venice. Other soundtracks from Revelations such as Istanbul, No Mistakes and Forum of the Ox are also amazing. These are just a few, I could name so much more. This music has changed my life honestly. It's hard fo explain. If you've had a similar experience please let me know.

Ending of Final Atlantis DLC Chapter *SPOILERS*

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 10:26 PM PST

I finished the Atlantis dlc and the fight you have as layla. When she says im going back in the animus plenty of people to say goodbye to, the following loading screen continues to crash on me. I have verified integrity and it didnt work.

I have done everything in the game up to this point and im done with it. Is there a cutscene or like a little goodbye quest/dialogue once you go back or is it just free roam?

If there is nothing else after im just going to move on to a different game.

Have they released an edition of AC Origins that includes the DLC?

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 08:42 AM PST

I never played the DLC for origins and wanted to try them out. I just think that $39 for a season pass of a 2 year old game that is now $15 at most at GameStop is wayyyy overpriced so I figured I'd ask.

    Looking for graphic novel/book suggestions!

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 10:13 AM PST

I read The Fall and really enjoyed it, was wondering what other graphic novels or books are out there that expand the universe. Not the books that adapt the games, but books with a new story in them. Any suggestions?

    About aco season pass

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 05:30 AM PST

If I purchase the season pass well I also receive any of the armors and weapons that can be downloaded? Or will I have to buy those separately? I'm wondering if the season pass only includes the new missions or everything that can be downloaded.

Charles Darwin in the AC universe

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 04:06 AM PST

So in real life CD has brought up the evolution thing, but we know that in AC, we were actually created by the Isu as a workforce that rebelled.

Are there any bits of info in the games or extended media that indicate someone trying to disprove the evolution claim with the Isu thing? Or like, does it even exist in the universe?
